After I have connected my 5230 to my computer using the USB cable (definatley in Mass Media / Storage mode) , the next time I open messages after the cable has been removed I get a pop-up telling me the selected memory is not available and defaulting back to the phone memory (I have the momory card set as the message memory).

My new nokia N8 is constantly coming up with the message "connect usb cable to device". I'll click ok and 2 minutes later it will reappear. When I connect it to a usb, it disappears but will then reappear when I unplug. I've tried updating software but none is available, and there is no programs running on the phone. When I turn off and on I still get the same problem.

I quite like all the stuff, but for the calendars something is doing my head in. Every time I set a new calendar meeting (which I use often as reminders) it defaults to use the PUBLIC calendar instaed of PRIVATE or NONE, and it defaults the reminder to go off 15 minutes before the event.

I open details of Phone Memory and it says that Images take 5787 kb. I open image folder in it and theres nothing.
So what should i do ?
i own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted.Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. After getting rid of bluetooth sis files in the messages folder and clearing the internet cahe I now have showing on drive c: free space of 23.2MB - good I suppose but I want to see if I can free up more space as the phone I believe does have around 80mb total (I know i should expect that system files of the phone will take up space but this much?) so anyway I suppose what I am is asking how I can free up more space as I cant see any more files I can delete on C: going through the inbuilt file manager and using windows file manager. I suppose I could use an app like y-browser or active file manager or whatever the app is called but its quite time consuming doing it through the phone, i would rather if anyone knows of an windows xp application where I can link up my Nokia 5800 by USB cable and run an XP app which will hunt out all files on C: including hidden/system and other files. i know I am going into dangerous terrotory of seeing system files and deleting them and bricking the phone but if I could see some hidden pictures and sound that I dont use and they are not tied to system files then I could delete them and get some more files back on C: - or has anyone know what else I could clear on the phone to give me back more than 23mb?
