However when I go to Ovi maps on my phone it always says connection failed, if I try to go to my location I get the red dot flashing searching for position then will go solid for a short while and start to flash again, it gives my location about 1 mile from where I am. Also from the OVI maps screen if I try to sign into my Nokia accost,(To get A-GPS I think) I get the message saying this requires you to go online, 'yes' brings up the connection failed message. I can browse the internet and go to face book etc.

I can connect without a problem. I mean the phone says it's connected to the network. But when I try to access a website there is only the error page. And after a minute or so the wifi connection drops out by itself. I saved the network, and there's no other destination in the settings/destinations menu. the phone is not connecting to it by itself. Is there a way to go back to Anna?

I've tried changing the following: Settings -> Connectivity -> Admin Settings -> Packet Data -> When Needed / When Available but this doesn't make a difference. And within minutes of going through Settings -> Connectivity -> Connection Manager. The WAP has reconnected.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nokia 5230 for my wife a few days ago (neither of us know a great deal about mobile phones) and whenever the phone is on, it seems to connect to the Internet, which uses up all our talk time (we don't yet have a contract with a phone company). We have tried all the settings to keep the Internet disconnected, but it still seems to be happening? This is really infuriating!

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently deactivated my Blackberry Bold 9000 (v4.6.0.304 operating system) from AT&T since I ported my cell phone number to US Cellular who had better coverage in my region. I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."

It stated that i did not have the correct license to listen to it and that i should try to get it over air. It then leads me onto the internet where i have to enter in my Ovi store username and password, i enter in the correct details but it tells me that i need to allow cookies to access the next page, the only problem is that i have already allowed cookies, why does it not recognize this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm new and I have troubles with my new nokia. I haven't found a solution yet. I have a micro usb-cable with the label "AC 108" "CA 101" from a local handy-dealer. When I connect the phone via "PC Suite Mode" to my pc (windows xp sp2) neither OVI suite nor pc suite recognize the phone correctly. After a few minutes both applications fail and ask me to repeat the steps. I get the error message: pc suite does not recognize the connected phone. The connection between the pc and the phone failed, error code 0x80044403. I switch off phone, switch it on, and try again.
However the phone is recognized by windows correctly. I get a popup with choices to open the phone from "windows portable device". The phone is in the hardwaremanager under "portable devices", "modems" and "wireless communication devices". I have tried to deinstal the software, i tried the nokia pc suite cleaner and i tried the different usb-modes of the phone. when i choose "mediatransfer" the phone is recognized by ovi suite but it says to use the pc-suite mode instead.
Why can`t my PC read my mobile? I connect it with the USB, but the computer says that the device - nokia 5230 could not be read.

Last weekend she asked me if i could update her software, and i did so from the Blackberry Desktop Software and updated to OS6. Everything was working fine until we found out that it only connects to the internet if i use data service, but i dont want to because we have wi-fi at home. When i turn data services and while roaming OFF, and put wi-fi preferred, and when i try to open a web page in the browser it pop ups a window saying "Data Services are disabled. Go to Mobile Network to enable".

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use my Curve 8520 to connect to the internet using my home Wi-Fi. I have not trouble connecting and downloading apps, or using web sites. The problem comes when I try to use one of the apps which needs and internet connection (Blackberry App World, Facebook, Google, etc.). All of these apps generate an error message saying that they are having trouble connecting to the internet and that I should verify my network connections. This leads me to believe I have a setting wrong somewhere.
