So my problem is that after I update to PR1.2, its not showing any contacts when I tap on New IM in Conversations. I am confused about one more thing which might be related to this problem. The problem is its failing every time when i try to install Extra protocol plug-ins for Conversations and Contacts. So i installed Pidgin. I use just Yahoo messenger on my phone. Any of you suffering from same pain?
View 7 RepliesI recently just noticed that 3 of my contacts messages are being stored together when i group messages by contact as well as in the conversation window.The only thing in common with all these contacts is that they all have the same surename because their first names and contact numbers are all different.Is there anyway I can stop this from happening and seperate the messages that have previously been grouped togtether?

How do you resend them? Sometimes in conversations, a message shows a red "X" which I assume indicates it wasn't sent - I can't figure out how to resend the same message again, or check the status why it didn't send.

But the main problem is here is even after i added their contact giving them names, the names doesnt show up in inbox, its still just numbers.desperately need help for this. how can a business phone have this kind of problem?

View 1 Replies View Relatedjust got a samsung galaxy sII yesterday after updating from a htc incredible s..(which i found to be incredibily s**t). so far the samsung seems to be a nice phone. easy to use and very fast. theres only one thing thats causing me a bit of frustration, and thats that i cant seem to make my contacts appear with their profil pics in my message inbox next to their conversation threads. they all appear with the default silhouette. i've synced my facebook contacts with my phone contacts and done it both through the facebook app and the social hubb app. my background data and auto sync are activated aswell. i've tried using an app called syncmypix and that didn't work either. when a contact calls me their picture comes up, but im my messages their pics dont appear. i just got off the phone with a samsung representative and they told me i had to merge my contacts with my google account. so i did but this still didnt work, and then they told me its probably a problem with my network provider, which i think was just an attempt by them to get rid of me
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have 4 contacts on my contacts bar. When I click one of the pix, I get a list of all the events relating to that contact - great, that's as it should be. But when I click on one of the other three, there are no events shown - the message is "(no communication events)". But I know there should be some, because I remember calling them yesterday and if I check the call log I can see the call there. If I then do something with one of the three (send a text or call them), then as if by magic the missing lists of events appear. It's always the same one that's complete initially, and always the same three that seem to need a reminder to behave themselves.if there's anything I can do to get all comms events showing all the time?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was using nokia conversation like all days, with sms stored in the micro sd card. after a freeze, I rebooted the phone, and I was unable to run the apps "messages" and the telephone book (the buttons on the main screen disappeared, the bar with all the applications was empty, and if I try to open the mentioned apps the phone told me (already in use). so I shutdown the phone, removed the external memory, and reboot again. all was functioning properly but, obviously, the memory in use for messages now is the cell phone. i'm unable to restore all the sms stored in the sd. if I try to switch the sms location by the menu on the cell, it says to copy the messages that now is in the phone memory (even if it's empty), and the abort the process. seeying in the directory e:Private1000484bMail2 there's only the dir 00001001_S, with a subdir "9", with a subdir "00100c39_F", who contains only 2 files:
(not properly named file) and another called "M ", filesize 0 bytes.I think the memory is corrupted, but all the other things in the memory card is perfect, excepted the content of the Mail2 directory.
so i've lost all my sms and mms instantly, and my bachelor degree in electronics engineering isn't sufficient to solve the problem.
I've run the nokia pc suite, who holds the "cache" of old messages, but it flushed it at the first launch, and now it see only the (few) new messages on the cell memory.i'm trying data recovery on the memory with various software but they don't recognize the ".dat" proprietary format used for storing SMS..i don't understand why with a memory card of 8 giga bytes and a 500$ cell phone there isn't a scheduled backup (automatic, on the cell phone) for avoiding lost data and user angry.

When i open the message folder there is only "no conversations" written, dispite the fact i have new messages in the inbox folder. View 9 Replies View RelatedI am N900 user and downloaded the app "Conversations Inbox Desktop Widget". But somehow by mistake I uninstalled app (1.0.4) from my N900. And now I want to reinstall the new version (1.1.1) by downloading from app manager.Then error comes out and says:

If I turn on the flashlight and make a call, then after some time when the flashlight turns on automatically with default time out period, then it wont turn on again, it just blinks and stays off, but If i disconnect the call, it works normal, but then again it wont turn on with call conversation.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy boss Frank has an HTC One M9. We had a colleague Brian whos number was saved on Franks phone. Brian has now left the company and the phone was given to his replacement Paul.
Frank has change the contact in his phone from Brian to Paul. When Paul calls Frank it still shows as Brian. I have check on the phone and can't find any trace of Brian. We use IBM Notes for email/contact which is synced to Franks phone and there is no longer any contact in IBM Notes relating to Frank.
I just got the HTC One M8 ( I previously had the HTC One X and loved that phone) and I have easily connected it to my car's bluetooth. BUT none of the phone book contacts have loaded. I cannot even get my recent calls (history). So if I want to place a call, I have to dial it manually on the car's keypad...which kind of defeats the whole purpose of voice calling and bluetooth connectivity.
I have done a factory reset of the car's system, disconnected the phone and re-connected it. And all of my contacts are on BOTH my phone storage and my SIM storage (which makes for quite a weighty phone book)!!
my contacts do now show up when my messages come through for text message. very frustrating any one else have this prob?
