All was working well until the latest Ovi upgrade. Since then Ovi Suite seems to be working fine but I can no longer use Ovi Player and therefore can't download music from Nokia Music Store. I have removed Ovi Suite and reinstalled it but no change. I am using Windows xp. View 5 RepliesI have had my n97 for about 2 weeks now and I have not been able to use the facebook application (from ovi) at all. I am with Optus and can access facebook via the web (Optus Zoo), however I cannot use the actual Nokia facebook application.Whenever I try to access the application it takes me to the log-in screen for facebook, and once I have entered my username and password it thinks for a few seconds and then tells me: "Error occurred. Incorrect signature, status: 104"I have looked through forums on the web and it seems like it is a pretty common problem for the Nokia phone. Everything I have read in various forums has lead me to believe that Nokia don't know how to fix the problem either, or just don't care.I am getting really, really, really frustrated with it. I am pretty addicted to facebook and love playing facebook games.
I am dieing to kill some time during my commute by playing some games, and because I can't use the proper application, it would seem I can't play the games.
Can anyone please tell me if hey had this problem and were able to fix it? Did you have to get in touch with Nokia? Were they any help?The forums seem to show that people have been advised to remove the application and reinstall and to clear their cache/browsing history. However, I haven't come across anyone yet where this has actually helped the problem. I haven't come across a single person yet who can actually use the facebook application either.
could someone please help me with this problem. I have just bought a nokia 5800 comes with music phone. When i run the disk everything installs untill i get to nokia music which fails due to this error :

Everytime I try to open Nokia Ovi Player a message comes up saying 'a problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the program and notify you if there is a solution available. I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the program and followed advice I saw on another discussion page to delete something through my local disc/program data/nokia - can't remember the name of the file I deleted but it didn't make any difference. I'm using windows vista. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
View 12 Replies View RelatedThe music player on my Nokia X6 is not working. It was fine for the first few days I had it, but suddenly it didn't recognise that there was any music on the phone. I have tried refreshing the music library, re-installing the entire software on the phone, doing a hard reset, and deleting a 'corrupted file' from my PC. All of these were suggested to me by Nokia, I have spent a lot of time on the phone to them and persevering at home, deleting all the files off the phone, reinstalling the Nokia Ovi Suite and Music Player, starting again with downloading music to the phone and refreshing the music library in the music player. None of these have solved the problem and now if I select refresh music library the phone gets stuck on trying to update the library and I have to turn it off then on again to be able to use it for calls etc.

The second issue emerged today yesterday night i download many album from ovi on my X6 and today when i i try to start music player it doesn't open the screen gets black nothing happens for a long time, the phone doesn't hangs coz i can get into open apps by press and hold of menu key and come to home screen and do other things
My 5 week old X6(Comes with Music) no longer recognises that the phone has a large amount of music stored in it. My Advent Notebook 4211 runs Windows 7 and happily ran Nokia Ovi Suite and Nokia Ovi Player for 3 weeks, allowing lots of downloads from the Comes With Music Nokia site. However, 2 weeks ago theOvi Player failed to start when selected: "Nokia Ovi Player has stopped working".
Nokia Technical Support merely advised me it isn't meant to run on Windows &. strange that it ran fine for 3 weeks on it? I Un-installed and re-installed the latest Ovi Suite an Ovi Player as instructed by Nokia, but to no avail.
Then, 3 days ago, after trying to back up the phone contents through the Ovi Suite, The phone no longer recognises it has any loaded songs? But, if I look at the phones memory via my laptop and its windows system, the phones mass memory clearly shows all the files containing the music on the phone!?
I updated my firmware v40 to v 50, my phone was working very fine on v40, but after updation to v50 i am in major problem, music player not worked properly and after 3 days of updation i received msg normally than suddenly phone touch stop working, become hang i tried to restart my phone but failed its not switching on since that time

I am having some problems with my phone which I think might be related to gstreamer.When I open the camera cover and the camera tries to launch I get the error message "Operation failed". Media player also does not work, I can see the media files but when I try playing them nothing happens.
I used gstreamer to capture images for an application that I created and it has always worked fine until recently, when I started noticing the problems with the camera and media player.Between the time everything was working and now, this is what I have done:
-installed OpenGL ES 2
-installed Qt
-copied a bunch of screenshots from the phone to my Mac (i think I just did it through bluetooth but I might have used the usb cable)
Here is what I have done to try to fix the problem:
-connect the phone via usb to a windows computer, rightclick the n900 icon and error check (as recommended on this forum)
-update the firmware using app manager
-reboot
-type dmesg in the terminal after opening the lens cover - that did not output any errors
Could this be related to anything other than the gstreamer? If it is the gstreamer, should I try reinstalling it?

Phonebook -
You can save a same number to a new or existing contact. With my old nokia phones, when you try to save a number that is already in your phonebook, it will prompt you if you would like to either continue or update the number... but with the phonebook for the 5530, it doesnt prompt the user.
Logs-
i chose to keep the logs for the last 30 days but when i open my logs, it only shows the logs for aroung past 10 days.. i tried waiting for few hours for the information to load up but still it cannot go farther than 10 days.
Real Player-
i transferred video files from my PC to my fone.. when i tried to play it on the phone, it says file not supported.. i checked the file format and it seems that the format is listed on the compatible formats for real player.
i already updated the software of my fone but still the same problem
After updating to firmware v50, my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic music player is not working anymore. The phone won't stop refreshing the music library. I got 900 songs in my memory card and the music player not adding even one song to the library.

There are other mp3s in music folder in my mmc which i use to hear frequently.
