I have problem in installing the OVI music player. I had downloaded the 999kb installation file. But when i run that, WMP, OVI Player & .NET components say failed to install. I wonder why. is there any way i can get OVI Player.exe complete, since i have WMP player & 3.5 .Net Framework installed already in PC.
View 4 RepliesWhen I open my Ovi Player, I can access my music ok, but when accessing Ovi Music, the program goes on loop saying "automaattinen sisäänkirjaus epäonnistus, kirjaudu sisään itse". I've uninstalled the program, installed the new one - the same continues. Also the Nokia Musiikkauppa page keepson reloading itself endlessly on Internet Explorer. With Firefox works fine!

Phonebook -
You can save a same number to a new or existing contact. With my old nokia phones, when you try to save a number that is already in your phonebook, it will prompt you if you would like to either continue or update the number... but with the phonebook for the 5530, it doesnt prompt the user.
Logs-
i chose to keep the logs for the last 30 days but when i open my logs, it only shows the logs for aroung past 10 days.. i tried waiting for few hours for the information to load up but still it cannot go farther than 10 days.
Real Player-
i transferred video files from my PC to my fone.. when i tried to play it on the phone, it says file not supported.. i checked the file format and it seems that the format is listed on the compatible formats for real player.
i already updated the software of my fone but still the same problem
Not long before receiving a notice about an update for my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, the music player stopped functioning properly. If I try to play a song from "All songs", I get the message "File is corrupted, Operation cancelled."
If I try the same through Albums, Playlists, Genres or Composers, I get the same message.
If I try to access anything through Artists, I get the message "General: System Error"
Podcasts works just fine.
I can play music tracks if I browse my files on my memory card, and play from there.
I have tried using Nokia Software Updater and reinstalling the newest update, and reseting my phone to factory default.
What should I do?
When I use a 2.5 (who's ridiculous idea was that, anyway?) to 3.5 converter for my e71x, and have the headphones plugged in all the way, I only get audio out of the right side of the headphones. If I plug the the headphones in just before it clicks in to place, I can get audio out of both sides but since it's not fully plugged in the sound always bounces in and out. I've used multiple converters and headsets, all of which are working properly. Is this a design flaw or do I have a bad one that I need to send in for warranty repair?

View 4 Replies View Relatedthe ovi maps installed on my 5800 doesn't work properpy or rather i should say it doesn't work at all.from the moment i start the maps app it starts showing me the message "searching for position" and same message is displayed for an hour or more till i get frustrated n close this app.i have tried using it indoor, outdoors, on streets, my house roof, my friend's house roof(which are quite far away). And i hv also used it with gprs connection and wifi connection(i literally took my router on the roof to make wifi available there).i am pretty sure that there is a s/w problem because when i run google maps, it uses gps function wid out any problems.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe "Email for Nokia 10 Accounts" also called Nokia Messaging does not work after firmware upgrade.I upgraded my E63 firmware from 400.21.13 to 410.21.10 (the latest). After upgrade, I installed the Email software, ver 9.07(2), from Ovi store. The problem starts after I entered my email address and password. The software imported the email account to the Communication --> Messaging folder (where you used to read your text message). Before upgrading, the email software manages all my email accouts and synchronise up to 10 emails. Now that nice email software and user friendly interface no longer show up. Instead it uses that poor design Communication --> Messaging folder. It only allows maximum 2 email acct. auto retrieval and NOT working with yahoo mail.
this browser is said to be good at Internet videos on the symbian phones. well i got my hands on it.... and was disappointed! yes, the actual Internet looks great, but it lags very much. it's like, i have to wait for about 30 seconds for the video to pause after i press the pause button. it seems the video area is almost non responsive and the video itself lags.is this normal or am i missing something?

I have used application on N8 and it works perfecly on Anna devices. However, there seems to be problem with Belle. It works fine at start (from 5 to 60 minutes) but in some point magnetometers and compass seem to freeze, and I do not get updates their values. This problem seems to be related with Belle because it works fine on Anna and I've tested the application with two different N8 phones running Belle.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a nokia lumia 800. But i have noticed a problem with the touch detection on the screen.
When i swipe (ex. for scrolling on the app list) then the phone some times detects the swipe as a tap, and then might open an app og an URL, or what ever is under my finger when it happens. This behavier is very random, and usually happens at the start of swiping (eg. detects me putting my finger on the screen and not lifting it again, but swiping, as a tap).
My N900 got in a deep coma after the battery ran empty. I managed to get it out after flashing the device with the vanilla image and the latest OS following the instructions on the Meamo WIKI: https://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware Flashing through windows didn't work (almost sent it to Nokia) but booting fom an Ubuntu USB stick and flash the N900 did do the trick at the end. The following images are flashed: RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin RX-51_2009SE_ 3.2010.02 -8.002 _PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin. The device seem to work OK again until I tried to enter some text from the keyboard. Some characters now seem to be inter connected: when I enter an 'a' it becomes 'oa' when I enter an 'o' it becomes also 'oa' when I enter an 'x' it becomes '.x' when I enter an '.' it becomes also '.x' when I enter an 'd' it becomes 'dk' when I enter an 'k' it becomes also 'dk' when I enter an '#' it becomes '#&'when I enter an '&' it becomes also '#&' I verified 'text input' and 'language®ional settings' under 'setting' but nothing seems to be wrong there. I don't us any custom dictionairy. The vitual keyboard work normal. It pretty much sucks when the keyboard can't be used. does anybody has a solution for this issue?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had trouble for some time with OVI contact syncing. I use the online contacts view to edit and add contacts. I have noticed that most of the contact changes I make in the web interface (like adding an email address) are not synced to the phone. Today I added 4 new contacts in the web then synced several times, and just one was copied to the phone. The sync registry in the phone showed correctly that just one contact had been added to the phone. The phone is a Nokia E51 and I am syncing over WiFi.

The problem is that my headset is not functioning properly, when I connect my headset to my phone and listen to a song the sound comes very deep and the remote of the headset does not work, I took it to the nokia dealer and he did some settings and made it right, but when I returned back home and tried to use it the same problem occurred as before.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated to v50 firmware. I did first OTA, and then through Ovi Suite. I am experiencing several issues, the most severe of which is a substantially patchier internet connection. The internet connection worked well previously, but now it's a coin toss whether it will or not. This change coincided with the update. The auto-rotation has also become substantially slower. I have tried reinstalling the firmware, resetting the phone, rebooting, removing battery and SIM card, to no avail.
I am very happy for Nokia to be updating the firmware for a phone that came out a while ago, so this is just constructive criticism. I am overall happy with the phone, and all the improvements are very welcome. The main issue I had been experiencing was random crashing of the browser, and occasional random reboot from the phone.
In my Nokia 6303 Classic phone when I try give any input in facebook page in browser it's not working. But if open any other website its taking the input. Means I can do google searches but unable login to my facebook account. I try so many times to enter values to the fileds there in the Facebook page but its not taking anything. I tried for factory reset but no good news, its still the same thing is happening.
Then i installed a Java based facebook application, but its unable to the internet connection. I have checked all the connection settings and application access properties but couldnt get the solution.
I have Nokia 5230 handset. In my mobile some application doesn't work properly. Applications such as Adobreder 2.5, Quick office.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedEverytime I try to open Nokia Ovi Player a message comes up saying 'a problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the program and notify you if there is a solution available. I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the program and followed advice I saw on another discussion page to delete something through my local disc/program data/nokia - can't remember the name of the file I deleted but it didn't make any difference. I'm using windows vista. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
View 12 Replies View RelatedThe music player on my Nokia X6 is not working. It was fine for the first few days I had it, but suddenly it didn't recognise that there was any music on the phone. I have tried refreshing the music library, re-installing the entire software on the phone, doing a hard reset, and deleting a 'corrupted file' from my PC. All of these were suggested to me by Nokia, I have spent a lot of time on the phone to them and persevering at home, deleting all the files off the phone, reinstalling the Nokia Ovi Suite and Music Player, starting again with downloading music to the phone and refreshing the music library in the music player. None of these have solved the problem and now if I select refresh music library the phone gets stuck on trying to update the library and I have to turn it off then on again to be able to use it for calls etc.

The second issue emerged today yesterday night i download many album from ovi on my X6 and today when i i try to start music player it doesn't open the screen gets black nothing happens for a long time, the phone doesn't hangs coz i can get into open apps by press and hold of menu key and come to home screen and do other things
My 5 week old X6(Comes with Music) no longer recognises that the phone has a large amount of music stored in it. My Advent Notebook 4211 runs Windows 7 and happily ran Nokia Ovi Suite and Nokia Ovi Player for 3 weeks, allowing lots of downloads from the Comes With Music Nokia site. However, 2 weeks ago theOvi Player failed to start when selected: "Nokia Ovi Player has stopped working".
Nokia Technical Support merely advised me it isn't meant to run on Windows &. strange that it ran fine for 3 weeks on it? I Un-installed and re-installed the latest Ovi Suite an Ovi Player as instructed by Nokia, but to no avail.
Then, 3 days ago, after trying to back up the phone contents through the Ovi Suite, The phone no longer recognises it has any loaded songs? But, if I look at the phones memory via my laptop and its windows system, the phones mass memory clearly shows all the files containing the music on the phone!?
There is an annoying beep sound during calls and the volume control is automatically at the maximum. When I try to bring down the volume using the volume control switch on the side, the volume bar slides all the way to the very lowest and not in steps.I tried googling but I could not find anything.Can someone please suggest what to do?

Other than macro mode I can see only red rectangular box (indicating improper focus?) and the photo seems to be blurred. Macro mode photos seems to be good. Even if I put camera settings to 'Auto' I am getting red rectangular box most of the times instead of green. Software or hardware fault?
