I recently updated the software on my N86 8MP and since then my display includes (where the memo's usually appear) the icon for Ovi Chat and the Activate Service prompt. It's driving me mad as it has cut down the number of memo's I can have on display to just 2, and I have no intention of using the chat service. Can I get rid of this?

I hate the prompt that asks whether you want to delete messages on mailbox and handheld. I don't use BES so the message is just a hassle.I had no problem figuring out how to remove the prompt on the 9000 - messages>options>email reconciliation. For some reason I can't find this anywhere on the 9700. Has anyone figured out how to remove the prompt
View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery now and then, my X6 would ask "Allow application to use network to send or receive data?". When I click Yes, it will bring me to Email Setup.
How do I stop this whole procedure from happening again and again? I have seen the same question posted for other Nokia phones, but the specific instruction does not apply to the X6.
Every now and then, a prompt pops up asking whether which option do I want to use to connect to the internet. After I select an option usually my email gets uppated, so I'm assuming the email is asking for internet. Isn't there a way Nokia messaging would update itself on its own without my having to choose an option every time?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a BH 217 bluetooth headset. I did hear the voice prompts on the first day. Now it seems to have disappeared and i simply cannot get it back. The user guide says you have to press the multifunction key for 5 seconds and then again for 2 seconds (when the device is switched off) I have tried that, but every time i press it for 5 seconds it comes on, and thats all that happens.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am getting a "Select connection" prompt quite frequently (atleast once a minute) on my 5800. This has started happening in the last week or so. Yes - I have searched the forums and googled. I have not altered my network drive settings (solution in one thread) and the internet connection test is set to "Never run" in the Wireless LAN settings.
I do sync my GMail account - and I do not want to disable automatic sync. Everything was working fine until last week. I think once we set a destination (Internet) for the email sync then it should not keep prompting again and again to select connection.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded to the Bold 9700 with 5.0 software. My issue (albeit rather small) is that my SMSs appear in my BBM chat screen. I followed advice posted previously and removed the contacts link and yes, the SMSs popped back into my SMS inbox. So you would think problem sorted. But here comes the interesting part : my husband has exactly the same bb, exactly the same software, his BBM contacts are linked to contacts, and his SMSs does not go to his BBM but only his SMS inbox. Confusing or what? Has anyone found a way of solving the issue without removing the contacts link in BBM? Alternatively, if this is the only way, how can I put a display picture in for a BBM contact after I removed the link?
First post ever but I've been following this site for blackberry advice for a while, but this time I can't seem to find an answer to my dilemma, I've seen on most posts regarding the black screen blinking red light issue but the problem stemmed from installing the OS. Thats not the issue I have, while at work I was chatting with my friend on blackberry messenger but a customer came by so I holstered my blackberry, by the time I finished and took out my blackberry the screen was black and won't turn on, I naturally assumed that my phone died although it was awkward for it to die at like 45% battery life so I ignored it until I got home. I placed my blackberry on my cradle to see if it'll charge but the screen remained black and the LED light blinks twice then stops, then blinks twice again and so forth. Should I do what the posters suggested? Run that program and reinstall an OS hoping it will save my blackberry?

View 2 Replies View RelatedTwo moths ago, there was an update to nokia chat. I've installed it, but afer that nokia chat ceased to function. When I entered it, it just said "Service temporarily unavailable.lease try later". Same thing happened with Social. I hoped that this would get solved with symbian anna, but it didn't. Now, when i enter the app, only the loading screen appears, the one with welcome to ovi, an then nothing. It just exits the app. Note that I uninstalled and reinstalled these apps many, many times, but still, they do not work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got this Iphone 4 from my sister and her husband got the Iphone, got home noticed that they formatted the phone then connected via WiFi to only find out that my sisters husband had the Find my Iphone feature ON! No she didn't split from him and take his phone, he upgraded lol. I wish the problem could be as easily solved as giving it back to them and having them hook it up to their PC but they DON'T have one? WoW! and whats worse even is the fact that apparently every time they got a new Iphone hes used a NEW EMAIL address for his Apple ID! So they dont remember the Email address let alone the password. My sister said shes called the ATT and they'll send her an Email, but that doesnt sound right can ATT have access to Find My Iphone feature? And If not what is the proper steps in getting this resolved! I use these iphones as media devices, NOT phones I listen to podcasts and watch movies thru them nothing more.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Chat (or Nokia Messenger for IM) version 2.0.10 installed on my E72. I used to be able to use it for Gtalk and MSN chatting. But now I can not log in anymore. I even tried the ovi chat and i got the same problem. It says "Authorization failed" with a NOKIA banner on top. I wonder if it is the problem of NOKIA server or just my phone?
