After succesfull upgrading to Symbian Belle(111.030.0609) my Nokia N8 has started self restarting. It restart more than 20 times a day, even if no application is running and all widgets are closed. I reinstalled Symbian Belle, but nothing changed.With Symbian Anna i haven't noticed that my Nokia N8 has performed self restart.
View 5 RepliesI have bought a new 5800 5 days ago and i have been using it without a sim card. There was no problem. Yesterday i started using it with my sim card and it kept restarting itself. My version is v50 and i have already tried hard and soft reset. Also no problem with memory card. I tried my friends sim on my phone and still same problem.my apps are from ovi store . On offline mode it works fine but when i start to use sim card it reboots in 3 minutes. Any ideas before a nokia care center?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone started restarting automatically after i put thesim cards for my first use, it was restarting for more than 10 times without shutting off. My battery percentage was 28%. I thought it is a charging issue so i charged it until the 100%.
Today (the second day), my phone was very good for all the day until the battery reach the 27% and received a phone call, then the mobile started restarting immediately until i put it on charger.
My Nokia N8 is not working. First I though some issue with low battery, since it was switched off automatically, but I have charged it for 30 min still, when I am trying to switch the power on its not starting up. Charger is fine, I checked with other mobile. What should I do at this moment. Apart from visiting the nokia center.

It really is not.Consider that as I type this text from my n8, the browser has freezed twice, the phone has rebooted once. And I only have apps compatible with belle on my phone.It took 2 minutes to switch from Italian language to English!

View 1 Replies View RelatedAt work we are using a proxy-server. And when I start up ovi.suite ( after the latest update ) it crashes every time. ( see pic. for more info ). under the pink line is says in danish "it was not possible to logon"
Before the update today, i had no problem, and I could sync my N95.
This morning I installede the update, and then after the update, it started crashing every time. I then uninstallede ovi.suite. Installede 2.0x.xx again. No problem. Then I made the update, and the version now was 2.1x.xx. Made one sync before 12.00, no problems.
Now when I try to go into ovi.suite, the crash and error comes.
I can't turn on the phone because the phone stacks in a blank Nokia logo and then turns off. When I try to connect in the PC nothing happens and when I try to put the battery into the device. it turns on by itself and restarting sevaral times. I dont know what kind of problem I am facing.

There is no double entries in the phonebook of any of the contacts, ie there is only 1 contact per number - so it should be able to match it up.
Also, phone freezes every so often when I unlock it.
Recently my nokia 5800 started displaying broken thumb icons in the picture lybrary.The pictures are fine on my memory card but the phone cant display them.Its not the memory card because my music works.Also i think that my phone didint update like it should the last time i tried it because it got kinda slow can i "preinstall it"
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got an e63 and for the most part, it's a great phone and I love it. However, when I am at home.. it constantly freezes while I compose a text and then restarts. That, or it just restarts over and over while I am not even touching it.I keep trying to hard reset it.. so I type in that code and it says "requesting..." and then says "request not complete".It's weird because the ONLY time it acts this way.. is when I'm at home.. any other place, it's perfectly fine. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried a lot of methods to solve this problem (restart, reflash, hard and soft reset, run it without memory card, put papers near the battery, changed some settings..) - anything doesn't work for me. I know that on net are a lot of topics like this one, but i think i tried all recommended solutions to solve it.. I updated my 5800XM to v50 firmware, after it was done, i started it and i enjoyed the KS, music player etc.. But after a while (like 3-4mins) my phone restarts (restart without needed to insert PIN code). I said, it's ok. But now it restarts every 3-4 mins. I found the solution - when the screen is not lighting (sleeping), it wouldn't restart. But i need to work with it, so this is useless.. Any help please?

So after many trials I make 4-key phone memory format so the phone restart and I was too much happy but I lost the contacts as it is stored in the phone memory in addition to all my exchange email and nokia email, so I was having back up so I connect it to PC Suit and I restore the contacts from my nokia back but after finishing it was asking for restart and the crises happened again and same previous, stopping at nokia screen then restart restart restart.So again I make phone memory and I using synchronization between my mobile and outlook to return my contacts and I don't know what will happened if I restart my phone.
I don't know what to do as my phone warranty is one year and nokia care will not accept to check it and I don't think that there is qualified shop can repair such this type of problems.IM too much disappointed from nokia and I feel that these type of mobiles designed to work for one year only and if you ask help from nokia care after one year they will not accept.

Even then it keeps restarting all the time. I am a regular Nokia Mobile phone user for many years with varieties of Nokia Phones, but this phone really made me desperate. When I goto the salesman, he asked me to goto service centre. And it started eating lot of my time running behing this problem between service centre and shop. Service centre says they can't do anything on this restart problem. I paid almost 8000 Indian rupees for this phone. Local chinese mobiles abailable in market are found more reliable atleast for the first fre years.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy n900 restarts everytime it goes to sleep wether it times out or i use the slide lock thing, i have flashed the firmware with the newest and the oldest ones using the NSU and the flasher util, I have also flashed the emmc.The code when using terminal with cat /proc/bootreason is 32wd_to everytime. The only time it doesnt reboot is when I have media player open playing a song in which case it work as it is suppoed to. I can use the device for hours without a reboot aslong as I dont let it go to sleep.

The other bug is that I cannot exit applications through the "open apps" menu (which is accessed by long-pressing the menu button). When I try to exit an application through there the phone crashes.
I did hard reset, soft reset, formatted E drive (each of those several times btw) and none of this helped. I took it to the nokia care center (the only one in Israel BTW!) and they said that they've never heard of those problems and it shouldn't happen, so they reinstalled my firmware. After that didn't work, I came back to them and they tried reinstalling the firmware again (they thought something maybe went wrong last time) and that didn't work either................
I updated my Nokia C7-00 to Belle update on 9th Feb, 2012 and i have been having some damn serous trouble with it, despite of a huge waiting time for it's arrival, it was said that Nokia is trying to make it as flawless as possible, but i don't get the thing that why is my C7-00 re-starting so often, i.e every minute or two, i have FLASHED to original C7-00 4 times, can you imagine 4 times FLASHED.I am damn not happy to what's going on, as soon as i start to open 3-4 apps, phone just gives up and goes back to it's restart and comes back to main home screen.Specially when i open apps like QuickOffice Pro, Adobe Reader etc...
I am at all not happy with what's going on, and want Nokia to address it's restart issues by the end of the Feb atmost, otherwise i have no option other than to trash it. Extra Apps Installed on Device by me Opera Mobile, cuteTue, fMobi, Mr. Applock, Fruit Ninja, Swype And, 1 more thing everytime the device is restarted it loses all it's configuration of the single, contacts image display on the homescreen, single and multiple favourites contacts get lost from the screen, and i have to re-add them manually.
I have a Nokia E6, i installed the Kaspersky mobile anti virus and was using the trial version. After the trial period got over i purchased a new license and uninstalled the trial version. I installed fresh copy of Kaspersky and now my phone keeps restarting within 15 seconds of swichting on. this goes on for about 3-4 times and then the phone just not start.
