When I try to connect to facebook trough Ovi's social network I keep getting up that I cant connect to gateway! This happends after I have stated my name and password and it trys to log in.. I can use the web both by wlan and regular, no problem there. I have tried different settings but apparently I haven't found the right one yet..

My Xoom post upgrade to 4G is now assigning the IP address of 192.168.20.1 to the device usb1 everytime it is rebooted. This apparently hardwired configuration conflicts with my homenetwork's default gateway.Is there anyway to change this with out rooting the device? I would rather not have to re-IP my home network or not be able to connect to any network via Wifi who uses that IP address as a default gateway.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm connected at home to a Netgear router with a laptop also connected no problems, the problem is when I try to browse the web on my E63 I get "no gateway reply". I've added the MAC address of the E63 to my list of attached devices. I've deleted and added the access point so many times and now I'm getting fed up with it. I've tried the turning off the power in the advanced settings but still no luck.

It did with the N96, the only thing that's changed is the phone. In the wlan conn manager it shows as connected but when i start the browser it comes up "no gateway reply". I think I may have to start from fresh and re-enter the security settings but I can't find them.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently own a Xpressmusic 5530, and I can't surf the web on my college wifi network. I was able to for several months until 2 days ago when the error appeared. Now the college wifi network is a public network and requires a webpage login. Before the error appeared, i would connect to the Wifi and then log in through the webpage perfectly with the wifi.
I already tried resetting to hardware settings, reinstalling the firmware, disenabling/enabling the power saving, and setting up the ip4v address like my wifi on laptop. Nothing worked. This is my first Nokia phone and i'm really disappointed that i can't use my wifi anymore. I didn't change any settings and it just stopped working. I even went to the tech people in my college and the network specialist didn't know what was wrong.
This is my first time here and I have a problem in my 5800 express music and that problem is: Every time I want to use internet via WLAN or 3G I got this message (no gateway reply).

However, the phone connects to the wifi network, and Skype for instance always works via wifi, but normally, you cannot go to any webpage or use other programs needing the internet.Surprisingly,sometimes it does connect (10 % of attempts), while nothing was changed in the router or anything. It does happen with any wifi network.

When I connect to a wireless its says nothing and the icon shows that it is connected, but in Truth its connected to none. View 2 Replies View RelatedI often use wireless, but sometimes it has poor signal and is impossible to use so I also use simple mobile internet. Usually the phone using opera mini asks if you want to use mobile internet (not wireless) but now it almost never does, so I get the connection error message as there is no wireless, but I also cannot use my mobile internet. Just today it gave me problems because of that. So bassicly, I cannot use internet, unless I have good wireless signal. And I have mobile internet as priority number 1 in my settings. So is there something else to do? This problem is appearing and dissapearing. Thought could be from bad wireless, it kinda locks itself on it or something, but turning off the phone doesn't help.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had the 808 since the initial release in India, i.e since August 13. Got it replaced once for the purple tint issue. Though the replacement set has some issues with touchscreen response, but I've learned to live with it. And everything else was working fine, till about a week ago.But now my 808 cannot connect to Wifi, randomly (quite often, actually). If I enable the wifi and go to the Wifi main page, I can see my home network being detected and shown as "Known". I tap on it to connect, it says "Connecting" for about a second or even less than that and then says "Known" again. I've tried tapping on it many times, but it just doesn't connect. Tried different connections of wifi, i.e. joikuspot from my N8, cannot even connect to that. Disabling and re-enabling the Wifi don't work either.
To make Wifi work again, I have to reboot the phone every time the problem arises. It's really annoying, since I use a lot a Wifi.Sincerely,SabbyjHit the kudos button if I was of any help to you. And don't forget to mark the solution if I get one.
I got some data package and all set up went fine. Nokia store and web browser are connecting just fine as well as some apps such as "QuickBeer", "News", "NokiaGoal", "Maps and Drive". However other apps, which I like to check quite often, such as "Bloomberg" and "Allaboutsymbian" do not connect while mobile data is ON. (they do only in WiFi)
Regarding software settings:
WAP services is my default connection.
Allow mobile data usage: Home country
Admin settings --> Mobile data connection: when needed
High speed packet access: Enable.
So everything works just fine but the mentioned apps above.
And regarding phone and OS info: Nokia 700
