Nokia Nseries :: Apps In Installed App List In Control Panel?

E73 running symbian etc. on T-mobile network. Used on an Wireless LAN for calls / web as well as regular cell, as per most people.
I found (looking from both PC-suite and via phone's application manager) that I had new installs of Fr0MA_0x2000E2FC, the Fr0MA_installer, MDM_Client, Media DS Plugin, MMS DS Plugin, PIPS Installer,etc. Never saw them earlier.
These are new to me, but web searches show they can be associated with digital rights. However, given potential power of the Apps from a remote site I was worried.
1. If I remove them is there any risk to phone use (i.e., if needed can I reinstall them).
2. Where are they likely to have recently appeared from (another app's support, malware, T-mobile or Nokia).

In the 'application management' menu on my N97 Mini, I'm unable to open the list of installed apps. The system just returns to the 'application management' page. I've looked around a bit on the internet, and found out that it may be due to the number of installed apps on the phone being too large. I do admit, I'm not really restricting myself with regard to that, but I also think I should not have to be. It would be beneficial if the end user could add an application to the list of apps that are accessible from the Control Panel when the iPhone is locked. This application would be a "favorite" or essential application and one that is not an integral application that is supplied by Apple as part of the device.

The designers of the N8 left out a HUGE camera setting, and that is the ability to directly control the shutter speed.
Right now the N8 cannot do things my old Sony Ericsson C905 can do, and that is slow down the shutter speed to take long 1sec+ photos at night.
So, you will never be able to use a tripod and capture tail lights from cars like this effect. I hope this gets address with a software update. Nokia is crippling this Carl Zeiss optics with limitations.

Ok, so after weeks of failed attempts to resolve this problem I am hoping a new support thread may be able to help please? BB Desktop software has been installed on my PC (Windows XP) for a couple of years all working fine. Then one day a few weeks ago it came up with a message 'Unable able to find Blackberry Desktop Software .MSI' and stopped working.There seem to be lots of forums with this problem but have been unable to find one which has eventually resolved the problem (Previous threads on the BB suuport suggest step 1 (below) but this is part of the problem).
1. I tried to remove the BB DT software from the windows control panel ' remove programs'. When the BB DT software is selected it alerts it is unable to remove as it can not locate 'Blackberry Desktop Software .MSI'
2. Run a file search for 'Blackberry Desktop Software .MSI' but no results found.
3. Next step was to try and remove the software using Cleaner without success - same problem as Step 1.
4. Next attempt was to try and overwrite the software downloading a new version from the BB website, all looked good until the final step of installation when it alerted that existing BB software was detected and needed to be removed before the new version could be installed. (Tried steps 1 and 3 again without success).
5. Final attempt was to reload the BB software from the original BB disc - same results as step 3.
I have BB DT on my PC which does not work, will not uninstall and will not upgrade (or overwrite).

I Like to control my Nokia 5230 from my Netbook. So I found the software app Remote Professional. Yes its connects, and then it does nothing enymore. I get a white screen, and see no virtual Nokia Interface. ( I wrote 2 times to Remote Professional since I have a registred version. I did never get an answer))) Is there a decent software application wich provides this functionality without problems. I have an older WM 5 device, and that is more reliable than this Nokia Device, it misses however radio and max SD card space for 2 GB but the virtual PDA on my Netbook was running without problems.

When I connect my 808, N8 or C6-01 (all running Belle) to a Play 360 speaker have noticed an inconsistency in the volume control function.Firstly let me make this easier to explain by pretending that the Belle devices all have 10 volume levels and the Play 360 speaker has 10 volume levels.Secondly I will explain how I expect the volume controls to work and indeed how it does work on my N95 and N97 (yes I've been very thorough with my testing!):When I set my phone (N95 or N97) volume to any number from 1 to 10 the speaker plays at exactly that volume level. If I increase or decrease the volume level on my phone (N95 or N97) then the volume level on the Play 360 speaker increases or decreses to match the phone's level.
When I adjust the volume level using the +/- buttons on the Play 360 speaker the phone (N95 or N97) volume level adjusts to match the change. So, no matter how I change the volume the phone and speaker are always in sync, e.g. 1=1, 2=2, 5=5, 10=10.Now we're getting to the problem...On my Belle devices, 808, N8 and C6-01 the volume levels only sync with the Play 360 when music is not playing. As soon as I play music the levels become independant of one another.For example: While the music is paused I can press the - button on the Play 360 to reduce the volume to level 1. I also do the same on my 808. So now both devices are at level 1. Remember, the music is currently paused. If I increase the volume on the Play 360 I see on the 808 screen that the volume increases there too.Same for decreasing volume too, both stay in sync as long as music is paused.
However, when I start the music playing and press +/- on the Play 360, although the ambient volume changes accordingly, the phone volume level remains the same. This means that even after I've got the Play 360 at max volume, I can then increase it further by using the volume control on the 808.What you end up with is 10 levels of volume on the Belle phone and ten levels of volume on the Play 360. As long as no music is playing they adjust together. When music plays they adjust independantly.

how to reduce volume when playing Bounce in games? This phone does not have a volume rocker and I can't see how to turn the sound down when I am in Bounce. It's very loud. The only thing I've been able to do is to set the phone to silent. Surely there is a way to adjust the volume when in games?

just got my 822 yesterday and am in the process of setting everything up. I activated the "kids corner" app and went to download games. At the start you have to put in your birthdate. I thought it meant my son's but now when I go to buy apps it says the parent permission won't allow it. I went to the site and it says I have to create an account for my son using his emaiI. He is 6 and I do not want to create an email account for him. How do I change the birthdate info so it reflects me not him?

using n8 with hdmi out (have big screen app installed) to use bbc iplayer (basically a web-based real video app, similar to Internet, but allows you to "catch-up" with previously aired bbc tv programmes in the uk).
i've started using my n8 upstairs, on my bedroom tv - so currently have no lan connections, and my n8 is the only way to watch programmes on iplayer around the house (can use my wii console for this purpose in the lounge).connectivity all seems to work ok, and manage to pair a spare wii controller to the phone to control it (big screen app functionality?).
the one thing i'm curious / concerned about is what's on my phone screen whilst watching iplayer on my tv over hdmi. normally you use the break-out / fullscreen option when watching iplayer on tv, so on my phone's screen, all the while i'm watching something, there's a web page in landscape, with a black box (about 1/3 of the screen size) of the video that's playing on the tv.
1. will this cause any damage, "burn-in" or overuse of my phone's screen to watch programmes on my tv for a couple of hours? have to say i'm not that up-to-date with usage best practices or things to avoid with things like amoled screens, just vaguely remember some concerns with plasma or lcd tv displays.
2. is there any way to blank my phone's screen whilst watching this app (bbc iplayer) on my tv? if i use the lock-key, the app stops / pauses.

I'm using Nokia E7 and I've done a complete reset of my phone but since this reset, Ovi Store doesn't know which programs are installed. It keeps telling me that certain programs are installed while they are not or if I want to reinstall them, I get a system error. One that I really want to have fixed is fMobi but I got to my total amount of downloads and I can still not get it back installed onto my phone. Is it possible to clear my download history in the Ovi Store or what else can be done to be able to install these programs again?

Ok everything was working fine till I inserted the memory card back into my phone after copying a video file.I hear a tone that it has detected the memory card but don't see any notification that it is installing memory card apps as it used to show. All my apps are gone but when I check the apps manager, it lists all the previously installed apps are installed. :s No apps icons visible in the apps folder but memory card detected and can be accessed via file manager.I have already removed and reinserted the card several times and turned the phone on/off.What to do ? Are there any files that can be copied so that the phone autodetects the installed apps?

I downloaded the Microsoft Apps 2.1 via SW update but it is not getting installed. I get an error as "Unfortunately there was a problem getting your updates. You can use your 603 as normal. Please try again later to complete the update". I tried more than 20 times now, but everytime I get the same error.
Is there a problem with Microsoft Apps for 603? I have enough memory on my phone to have this 45 MB application installed. I do not where the downloaded file gets saved. Does anybody know about this.
And how do I uninstall the previous version of Microsoft Apps from my phone, I do not see an option for that on the icon.

Id like to format my phone but what actually gets deleted when i format it? will i be able to get the 2 pre installed games back and do allt he settings remain the same? and what about the ringing tones such as nokia tune...? basically is everything deleted but can I get any of it back from the nokia store free of charge if it was already on my phone...?

when ever i do hard format in my symbian belle, i cant see the apps installed in my memory card while when i check the files via 3rd party app like x-plore, i found they r present.The application manager ie- in ''already installed'' also don't show any apps.Thus i always have to re install those apps and due to this some missing apps that r already installed in the card simply uses some amount of free space that is for no use So tell me if there any way to prevent the apps from not showing in menu as well in app manager after hard reset.

Every now and then my Nokia N8 contact list freezes when I try to select a contact fom the list, when starting a call or by accessing the contact list directly. A reboot, factory reset nor firmware reinstalling doesn't solve the problem, it only works temporarily. When the list freezes I am able to swipe through it up and down, though selecting contacts is not possible. I do see a cursor blinking in the lower half of the screen, at the position where the search window normally is. The search window itself is vanished.
