Yesterday evening I had a weather forcast icon and something like a "look at more"-icon in my map menu.This morning I have updated the Denmark map.Now the abovementioned two icons are gone.What can I do at least to get back the weather forecast icon?
View 1 RepliesI just bought a Tour used. I havent activated it yet but through my laptop I installed all my info (contacts etc..) through the desktop manager. The service provider is Sprint. I have noticed that there are some apps/icons missing from the menu. Most importantly there is no web/internet icon/app and no BlackBerry app world icon/app. There are also others missing, Pandora, Sprint Nav, Sprint TV and a few others. These I am pretty sure I can download for free, but what about the web and app world? Why are they missing? Is it because the phone is not activated yet?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am change the menu to my phone to a left hand side bar, which I found very usefull, especially it gave me an extra icon than when the icon bar is on the top. I can change the shortcut from the menu fast enough, but can't change the icons under. Any body know the settings for it in the phone ? I tried to look in the profile etc.... can't see it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI received a N97 today(from out my country). I put my sim in, i can recive or make calls, however many of the phones menu options are missing. There is no wifi menu, when i tried to connect via Suite, phone didn't show me suite, in mass storage usb it shows me total memory is less than 1 mega, and when i try to enter other applications like "My Nokia" i get "Not allowed now" message. Is the phone locked or something? Can i fix it or should i take it to a service?
View 8 Replies View Related've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had two 5230s for various reasons on two different networks. On my current one (t-mobile, uk) I seem to be missing the shortcut to the GPS data application. I've only just noticed this as I had issues with my GPS when abroad and I wanted to check which satellites were or weren't being seen.
I discovered that the application is in fact installed as if I go into the voice commands I can say "GPS data" and the application is displayed. But I seem to have no way to start the app without using the voice command. I know I could try a hard or soft reset, but I'd like to avoid that option at the moment, and it may not even work. Any way to get the "shortcut" re-applied?
After recent update of ovi maps on my mobile a strange problem occurs: when I choose one of my favourite destinations the following error appears: 'no route found'. I found out (more than a year ago) that Egypt map lacks a big city, it's called "Melawi", its name is just on the road: "Bany Sewaif-Dairot street" BUT NO STREET NAMES!!I waited for map updates, and every time I update the map data, I see nothing changed!My map version 0.2.46.103 By the way, when Nokia releases new map versions, please include change log / release notes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThat being the case, I downloaded the map files for Alberta onto my 5800XM and checked that Banff and Calgary map info was present.No problem with Banff road details and POI's but although the name 'Calgary' is shown on the map, the main roads stop short of the city and absolutely no roads are shown going into the city and no POI's are pesent for Calgary.

It's possible to complete in online mode missing information, but found errors in France, Germany, Czech ( between Prague and Olomouc). Also my country Estonia is missing much detailed area data. Is it only N9 problem or are getting maps updated soon?
View 3 Replies View RelatedNokia,been using Maps on a Lumia 820 for two weeks now, and while the touch interface is of course a huge step forward from my previous E52, there are several (I believe essential) features that are strangely and desperately missing:The basic map view is fixed to "north up" and doesn't show any indicator of the direction the device is pointing to. The E52 had both a compass indicator and an option to rotate the map according to the device's orientation. I find map orientation essential in "pedestrian mode", especially when you're in an unknown place. While we're at map indicators: when zooming, either with the pinch and zoom gestures or with the optional +/- buttons, the map does not show a scale or ruler which the E52 also did.Both offline maps and microSD card support are unique characteristics of Nokia Maps and the Lumia 820. However, storing downloaded maps (probably the biggest data chunks on your phone) on the microSD card is not supported. You really have to the store your offline maps the phone's internal memory?When you open your list of placemarks (or favourites), that list is sorted alphabetically. With more than a few placemarks (I have well over 500, collected over many years) that's almost useless, because you see named locations scattered all over the world when you're really looking for the name of that restaurant you visited somewhere nearby some time ago. On the E52 the favorites list was of course sorted by the distance from the currently displayed map area (or the current location), which is so much more useful.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst off when I take my phone out of lock or wake up it from sleeping the icons are missing till i wipe my finger across the screen.. its weird to explain but its kinda like i have to swipe the whole screen for the icons to be visable the same thing happens when my phone goes to sleep and the keyboard is open.. any ideas?

I've been downloading many apps from Android Market and there are so many good ones, but also some others pretty awful. The thing is that unninstalling some apps from the phone leaves me gaps in the menu... I've got pages of the downer menu with only six icons, when the space allows 9. How can i re-arrange the icons to put them in order?? Is there an option in the phone as it comes, or do I have to download an app from the market?

Some icons are ALWAYS listed under this "quick menu" whether they are closed or not, such as BB messenger, Browser etc. Is there any way I can add or remove icons in this quick menu?

When I got it the main menu was there and I was able to switch between personal and professional Modi.Then I restored contacts etc from a backup from when it ran 071.014.Now it is impossible to switch btw. pers. and prof. modi. Even when I click the prof. modi it stays "personal".furthermore, the icons on the first page has disappeared, and it is no longer possible to add any in the modi menu, (there is no "data window" in the Program shorcuts entry, so there is no way to add entries).

View 12 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with my bb bold 9780. the folders in the main manu keep changing their names from german to english (my selected language is german). e.g. the games and the application folder, the rest has still its german name. and also there appear new icons, some with a question mark in it (but on top it says sounds), some i don't know. it seems to me, that my bb kind of splits folders and than some of the icons show up in the main menu.
this started yesterday and so i updated my bb. after this everything was fine again. i deleted some of the apps that were installed with the update (Internet, myspace, ...) and after the restart there was the same problem again. i installed some new apps (slide lock, games, themes and password lock) before and some time after the problem started. i don't know if this has any to do with it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI replaced a Torch, 9800, with a replacement unit. All seems to work except the icons on the bottom of the bbm screen. They are normally "send", view contact info" etc. However, I just show a single star in the middle bottom where the icons should be.
