Feb 10, 2010I've downloaded a couple of Apps from BB App World. JavaJazz and PayPal. The download was OK & I looked through JavaJazz after downloading but now I can't find an icon for either so can't open them. I was expecting to find icons on the home page or in the Applications folder. I'm sure it's very simple but I just can't find them.

Jan 25, 2010One step forward 2 steps back! I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary.
Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??

I can't seem to get that to happen with my 8530 Curve. Battery pull did not fix the issue.
I've had my Curve BB for over a month with little to no problems (it stopped 'pushing' to my custom email a couple weeks ago, but I researched and resent the service books, etc. and it worked fine after that). Now, however, it has dropped/removed my two custom email icons. Poof. Gone. One minute they were there, the next, gone. I've already checked to make sure they weren't hidden. They're not. I went into email setting again and it no longer even showed them as having been set up - one of them being my home email that is pushed to my BB and the second being my BB email itself.

Jan 23, 2010I am change the menu to my phone to a left hand side bar, which I found very usefull, especially it gave me an extra icon than when the icon bar is on the top. I can change the shortcut from the menu fast enough, but can't change the icons under. Any body know the settings for it in the phone ? I tried to look in the profile etc.... can't see it.

The thing is that unninstalling some apps from the phone leaves me gaps in the menu... I've got pages of the downer menu with only six icons, when the space allows 9. How can i re-arrange the icons to put them in order?? Is there an option in the phone as it comes, or do I have to download an app from the market?

Jul 17, 2010I just bought a Tour used. I havent activated it yet but through my laptop I installed all my info (contacts etc..) through the desktop manager. The service provider is Sprint. I have noticed that there are some apps/icons missing from the menu. Most importantly there is no web/internet icon/app and no BlackBerry app world icon/app. There are also others missing, Pandora, Sprint Nav, Sprint TV and a few others. These I am pretty sure I can download for free, but what about the web and app world? Why are they missing? Is it because the phone is not activated yet?

When I got it the main menu was there and I was able to switch between personal and professional Modi.Then I restored contacts etc from a backup from when it ran 071.014.Now it is impossible to switch btw. pers. and prof. modi. Even when I click the prof. modi it stays "personal".furthermore, the icons on the first page has disappeared, and it is no longer possible to add any in the modi menu, (there is no "data window" in the Program shorcuts entry, so there is no way to add entries).

Apr 17, 2012i have a problem with my bb bold 9780. the folders in the main manu keep changing their names from german to english (my selected language is german). e.g. the games and the application folder, the rest has still its german name. and also there appear new icons, some with a question mark in it (but on top it says sounds), some i don't know. it seems to me, that my bb kind of splits folders and than some of the icons show up in the main menu.
this started yesterday and so i updated my bb. after this everything was fine again. i deleted some of the apps that were installed with the update (Internet, myspace, ...) and after the restart there was the same problem again. i installed some new apps (slide lock, games, themes and password lock) before and some time after the problem started. i don't know if this has any to do with it.

I have deleted it from the applications list and do not see it in the modules list but the icon still shows.I also have icons that have the "Hide" checked but are not really hidden. Nokia :: 3120 Classic - How To Restore Display Menu
May 7, 2010I was recently personalizing my Nokia 3120 classic and was trying to see what I preferred regarding the display (essentially the home screen). When I pressed the 'up' navigation button and then 'options' to changes what was displayed, I set all parts of the display to empty (when I first bought it, it was populated with a line of application/function icons - left to right in the top-most row, the date and time in the second row and 'notes' in the third row).
Now I can't get anything back, and none of the Menu functions allow me to make any changes to this part of the display. Restoring factory settings does not restore this either. There is no intuitive way for this to work on the 'home' screen as the options function doesn't exist any more (emptying the rows has removed the function altogether).

Jun 10, 2010Well I spent two hours in Gimp (Like Photoshop) Making this mock up, I wanted to see what a folder Icon would look like. (Hey I haven't used Gimp in ages) I Tried to make it accurate pixel for pixel what it may look like on the retina display. Please don't laugh at my wi-fi symbol, that was near impossible to make, (With my gimp abilities atleast).
EDIT: You have to understand that actual size looks huge on your computer screen, because this is representing a 326 ppi screen.

BB Curve 8500 :: After Update Unable To Download Apps On 8520 Curve
Aug 21, 2010I recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.
