Icons in the menu were displayed in 2 pages earlier. But all of a sudden it changed to List View. I think some buttons were pressed when it is in my pocket.

I thought by clicking on the "star" icon while reviewing the pic would sort through them by distinguishing the starred pictures from the rest but the star does not show up in the list or grid view so I don't know which pictures to delete and which to save. Exactly what is the "star" icon for?

I used to use the Nova launcher b/c you could customize the heck out of it, but with the Nexus 5 I'm really happy with the stock Launcher and it's integration with Google Now. I can change the shortcut from the menu fast enough, but can't change the icons under. Any body know the settings for it in the phone ? I tried to look in the profile etc.... can't see it.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with my bb bold 9780. the folders in the main manu keep changing their names from german to english (my selected language is german). e.g. the games and the application folder, the rest has still its german name. and also there appear new icons, some with a question mark in it (but on top it says sounds), some i don't know. it seems to me, that my bb kind of splits folders and than some of the icons show up in the main menu.
this started yesterday and so i updated my bb. after this everything was fine again. i deleted some of the apps that were installed with the update (Internet, myspace, ...) and after the restart there was the same problem again. i installed some new apps (slide lock, games, themes and password lock) before and some time after the problem started. i don't know if this has any to do with it.
My boy got hold of the phone and managed to change the settings?
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen browsing for photo/videos in photo app, only about 20% videos are showing up correctly, but others are just showing up blank (as attached). All videos can be played normally, and they are all on the same SD card. There are huge videos files that are showing up correctly, so I don't think it is the SD card speed issue (I'm using Sandisk extreme, 80Mbps)

I placed it on charge and when taking it off I went back into the app menu for something and noticed that I had a search bar at the top and had to scroll up and down. Its also seems to have kept my last 4 used apps in a separate drawer at the top.

One thing that I miss from CyanogenMod is the ability to add things to the quick settings menu. Is there an app available that will allow you to modify the quick settings menu on stock Android? My phone is rooted so but otherwise it's stock. I don't miss the instability of CyanogenMod, just that one feature, so I don't want to install a custom ROM, I just want to add a couple of things to the quick settings menu.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIn short, after installing the 5.1.1 update, my phone seemed to lag a little on menus and such, so I did a factory reset. Everything was fine, except now after the reset, for some strange reason I can't change the screen grid size in the TouchWiz panel customization menu. The button that says "screen grid" is there, but it's now greyed out and I can't access it. I did some Googling and found that the newest version of TouchWiz (that is stock installed on S6's) is TouchWiz Nature UX 5.0; I checked "TouchWiz Home" app info under my applications manager and it says "Version 4.0".
Could it be that I am running and older version of TouchWiz (because I know the screen grid customization is a feature of the new TouchWiz) -- I don't understand that though, how could a factory reset revert to an older version of TouchWiz than what was stock installed in the first place? I know I could just install a different launcher but I am completely fine with TouchWiz, I just want to be able to change the grid size like I could before the factory reset.
BTW I have a Sprint 32GB S6 with everything unaltered -- non-rooted and everything stock. I would post a screenshot but I can't figure out how to upload an image from file.

How to modify the recents app view, I want it to be Horizontal and Full size app Cards (just like iOS 9 :P ). So, I have done this in the past, kitkat , jb etc, but not in lollipop or marshmallow.... I've decompiled the systemUI.apk and I don't see any way to do it. I really want to do this !!

Just one little niggle. When in settings then into "about phone" and then into "status", it shows your phone number. Can some one tell me why its not my phone number. Did not think much of it until I started filling out info on my google stuff and it auto entered some info incuding the phone number, which was of course, wrong.
Simple questions really.
1. where has this number come from.
2. why is it not my number.
3. how do i change it.
after Christmas "until next alarm" option disappeared from "Do Not Disturb" menu and then magically reappeared on January 1st. Now again it has disappeared. I'm running the latest stock android MMB29S.

I copied all the data back to my phone after, but when I open the downsloads folder there are no files in there. On the phone itself it shows 229MB of data there, but I cannot see it on my phone. The only problem is, I don't know how to view an entire group together and use it in any useful way. My intention is to be able to view an entire group at once as a list so I can see who is all in there and be able to notice if someone is missing. Also for my business I have a customers group which would be useful to see how many people I have in the list and view everyone to make sure my daily tasks are not leaving anyone out.

I have a Nexus 5, Lollipop 5.1.1. Build LMY48B. Today suddenly the Menu orientation of my phone changed to Vertical one with a scroll bar on right side and the "Search App" bar at the top.
Earlier it was a normal left-right swipe menu. Now it is a vertical up/down scrolling menu. I don't know how it changed. There was no software update or anything.And is there a setting to switch back to the original left/right swipe.
