for some reason my Nokia N97 Mini doesnt tell me when I have a new message, nor vibrate. I always have to go to 'Messaging' to see the red star by Inbox to see if one is there. Before I never had this problem but now I do.Is there something I did or a button I accidentally pressed?

View 10 Replies View RelatedThe shortcut notification image at the bottom of the screen for my e71 has disappeared and each time I get a new message it doesn't show up anymore. I have to manually go to the messages at the top of the screen and then go to inbox to see the new message when before I could just click the little shortcut that popped up at the bottom of the home screen which would lead me straight to the new image. I've tried restoring the factory settings on my phone and it didn't set it back to the way it used to be. I'm lost on what to do in order to get it back.

First the alert tone stopped.than the pop new text message stopped and than the little envelope that appears in the right hand corner stopped.Basically I'd be going to my inbox every 5 mins to see if i had any new messages. I called Nokia support and after trying everything else, we ended up reseting the whole phone.That worked...for about 3 days.Than the problem came back.So i called again,tried everything again and nothing. They sent me a new phone and its been doing fine up until yesterday.

I often use Nokia PC Suite for managing my messages. When I read all new messages on E66, notification light automatically changes its self from flashing mode to "breathing". It's fine. But it doesn't work on my E52. When I read all new messages, notification light is still flashing (no "breathing"!) on E52. I read manual and I know that it is necessary to use my phone directly to stop flashing. Why (if all messages has been read)? I think, it correct works on E66. What is the problem? I use latest version of firmware and Nokia PC Suite (not OVI Suite!). I contacted Nokia HelpDesk, but they told me something like "it is not a bug, it is a feature".

View 16 Replies View RelatedEver since I got my Nokia 2320 (which for some unknown reason is not listed on this site) back in December, it ran slow when I turned it on and took a few minutes (up to five) to what I call "recall the messages and remember it could send messages." But lately the time it takes to recall the messaging is longer and longer. A couple days ago it took me 27 hours. This time, its been 30. I read on another site about a guy who had this same message on this same phone and it had been 3 days and the problem had still not corrected itself. I want to know what is happening, why, and how to fix it. I called my carrier customer service and have been on the phone with them on and off for about a month about it. They have NO CLUE what it is.

Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHave tried to set up my pop3 email on my 6700 slide using the same settings I've always used on previous phones/pc and for some reason emails just won't send. However my main problem is that I keep getting a message flash on screen saying 'Unable to send message:[Email address]. As soon as I clear it, it comes back about 2 seconds later and just won't go away. Stops me doing anything on the phone as I have to keep clearing the message every few seconds. I've gone into drafts/outbox, every folder I can find in 'Messaging' and there's no copy of the email to even delete it. I've even gone to my mail server on the web and the message isn't showing. From the mailbox itself on the phone, I've tried to folders under 'More folders' but there's nothing showing - no sent or drafts folders. How can I stop this error message appearing every 2 seconds?

When I receive text messages, it shows the right time (current time) in the inbox but when I try to check the time with message details, Its late by 4 Hours. Following on from my post "Nokia N97 is this the worst phone they have ever made?" I have discovered yet another problem with my USELESS N97. I have always set it to save my message in the Mass Memory but why, and I really don't know, now I get error messages saying the memory is full and when I check the damned thing has reverted back to the default setting of saving them on the phone memory.I HATE THIS BLOODY PHONE !
If anyone has any ideas other than throwing under the wheels of a lorry let me know, I'd be very grateful. Nokia have said that because this is a different problem to the one its being returned for repair AGAIN it can't be done at the same time.Am I missing something here or what? After quite a few attempts the message finally is sent but I dont receive any delivery report even though I have enabled that option. And when I check the sent items or conversations, the recipient is totally someone else! I tried soft reset and the problem solved. But now it came up again. Soft resetting my phone every day is not an option.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia N97 Mini handset and I am facing problem in it with Battery Low error message, when ever I call someone or I receive any call.Battery works fine in case of standby mode, or even when I do SMS chat for whole day. Even if I listen to music for 10 to 12 hrs, the mobile works fine, no issue of battery low. But during that if I receive any call, then suddenly it displays the battery low error message and the mobile is switched off.I try to check everything of it. The mobile functions normal and in good condition in following cases
1. Wife Connectivity
2. Bluetooth data transfer
3. Sms chat for lets say 12 to 14 hrs.
4. Video play for 2 hrs.
5. Music plays for 10 to 12 hrs.
6. Clicking photos or recording Videos.
7. Browsing internet.
But it only falls down in case of Call. Either I receive call or make a call. I don't know how to Rectify this problem. I had once shown to Nokia customer care, but even after that the problem still remains.I even try factory restore settings and hard format of OS. But still no improvements.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a E63 in India. My earlier model was 9500 Communicator. I have transferred all the data from 9500 to E63 and all files etc. are opening properly, except files in the folder 'My Documents' which are 'Word' or 'Excel' files.
Whenever I try to open the file it says "File Format Not Supported".
I'm trying to send text but its keep saying RESEND and when I check memory says messages 14kb to 26 kb even though its empty and after 2 3 times resend it says GENERAL: MEMORY FULL. CLOSE SOME APPLICATION AND TRY AGAIN.But in ma cell its 48mb space free
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I select a WiFi network from the E72 home page, it shows me the option to "Start web browsing".(The other 2 options at this stage are "Search for WLAN" and "Switch WLAN scan off". When I select the option to "Start web browsing", I get a list of bookmarks for the browser. But when I select any of those bookmarks, I get an error message "WLAN: WLAN connection already active. Close it and try again". Has anyone seen this before ? Any clues as to how to solve this?

-Firmware is updated
-soft reset done
-it seems that the app is not installed
-have deleted the cities folder and the qf file
Unfortunately no change maps app does not start. Not sure that this is important but I want to mention this for the sake of completeness.
-the maps did work once
-when I started them the next day and I was at a different location it still showed the location of the
previous evening abnd did not recognize where the phone was
-after some time I could not start the the maps app.
My n97 was working perfect til i installed the latest updates, since then all i get when i try to make a call is "connection error" and a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it, I cant receive phone calls either it goes straight to voice mail...The phone was sent to a repair center where they fixed my charging problems, replaced the camera lens and never bothered with the "connection error". Ive sent several emails to Nokia but no response, the phone is almost 6 months old and is on Vodafone, Ive tied another sim card in it and still no joy...Plz help as £300 is not good value for a 6 month old phone,
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo this is a new problem, never had this before. I often use wireless, but sometimes it has poor signal and is impossible to use so I also use simple mobile internet. Usually the phone using opera mini asks if you want to use mobile internet (not wireless) but now it almost never does, so I get the connection error message as there is no wireless, but I also cannot use my mobile internet. Just today it gave me problems because of that. bassicly, I cannot use internet, unless I have good wireless signal.And I have mobile internet as priority number 1 in my settings. So is there something else to do? This problem is appearing and dissapearing. Thought could be from bad wireless, it kinda locks itself on it or something, but turning off the phone doesn't help.I hope I gave all the neccesary details for someone to understand this
