I've installed v 10.2.0.21 on my n97 mini, and since, when I live home, the phone said "connection WLAN finiched" , it connects one second on GPRS and disconnects !

It finished till step two and after close phone and reconnect and step three update never start. And message pop up having problem preparing the phone for the update? Give it another try by starting over from step 1.

Also, sometimes my pc doesn't crash ( i dont know why) but even then when i connect the mobile to the pc via usb, my pc continusly tries to install it as new hardware instead of detecting it in Pc Suite, and even then it never detects or installs it...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed Nokia EMail Service at my E63 phone. I'm using WiFi to connect to mail server. I expect the following behavior: each 5 minutes (as defined in Settings) this Service should activate WiFi connection, connect to server, get new mail (if any), disconnect from server and (!) deactivate WiFi connection. However, I see that WiFi icon is shown on my main screen instantly - so the WiFi connection is always On and the phone is consuming the battery heavily.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked TELUS Storm playing GSM on a Philippines carrier called Smart. The data connection and call reception quality here has been nothing but horrible. Dropped calls/Calls failed, etc are pretty rampant around here (no matter what part of town you're in)
Anyway, I'd _like_ to think it may be something to do with the fact that the device is not Smart authorized/sold device. However, the backward nature of cellphone networks here could argue me down.
Long story short, now that you know my troubles.. when I'm on a full GPRS/EDGE connection, I pull up the browser. Once I start getting ready to type in a URL, the GPRS/EDGE goes to gprs/edge. It happens about 98% of the time. This same thing happens when I go to URL from an email/sms etc. I can't seem to figure it out. I've been on .328, but upgrading to .419 as we speak. Thoughts would be nice.
I got a Bokia E72 after being fascinated with E71.What shocked me was the big number of disconnections or call drops faced in the middle of calls although the signal is at its best.I am thinking of updating it to the latest firmware hoping that it'd solve the problem.Do you have any further suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone specifically for listening to music, however it has a fatal flaw for me.I plug in the Nokia supplied earphones with or without the remote control, or standard earphones of any kind and the radio picks up stations and MP3's play beautifully.For 30 seconds.
Then the earphones disconnect or the radio stops playing and tells me to connect the wired headset, though it has not been disconnected or even budged on the table.I then stop the MP3 player or radio. Still not unplugging the earphones, and they miraculously reconnect again..I have just tested it and this happens with phone calls as well.I have updated the firmware to 10.01 and everything else works fine, just this disconnecting problem.

My issue is Wifi connects initially but after playing sometime with the XBox games.. the WIFI automatically disconnects giving no reasons but the phone is not hung. Then i have to reboot the phone to get the wifi back...again after 15 mins it disconnects...and this process continues.

The handset pairs fine with the head unit in my c class Merc, I can make and receive calls and text messages, but it continually disconnect the bluetooth as though the phone is powering bluetooth off and then powering it back up and reconnecting. This sometimes happens every 30-40 seconds other days it can be ever 3-5 minutes. The head unit works fine with my blackberry, htc desire and a mates iphone so I know that's not at fault. I've tried deleting the pairing and restoring my phone prior to the update but all to no avail.

For the determination of the location only the internal gps is switched on. I don't want any roaming connection to internet during my stay in Spain.Starting OVI maps pops-up immediately the question for a connection to GPRS which I canceled.It is, if a connection is made to GPS, possible to find my possition but finding a route to a address doesn't work. All I get is the question to connect to GPRS and if I canceled that nothing happens, in other words it was not possible to search for a location / planning a route.Do I something wrong or is this standard behaviour of OVI maps?

I am on monthly contract and have an option where it costs me 30p to use internet if I go onto it, but thats for the entire day. Also, I have the most recent ovi maps and I set it to offline mode, and tried to download some voices. It said, connect to internet? And I pressed yes and it downloaded them. I followed the instructions in Nokia site and took complete backup before upgrading and restored entire stuff after upgrade. Now, though my settings are intact as it was before upgrade and my operator (Airtel) also confirmed that my GPRS subscription is active, I can not connect to Web nor can check my emails. Whenever I attempt to browse, it gives an error message saying 'Connection Not available'! In fact, I checked inserting my CIM card to another Nokia phone and could browse Internet with same GPRS settings as in E71.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I run Internet Radio, I can only select Wi-Fi access points, no 3G or GPRS (in my case: Vodafone Live!). Other apps do show all access points. This is a pitty as the application is rather nice.The app does show settings for the GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi bitrates, so obviously it does support these connections.I've deleted and re-installed, to no avail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've just gotten a nokia N8 and have unlimited music dowloads from Ovi Music for six months with my package. For the past week or so I have been downloading music onto my phone using my home WAN conection. And onto my laptop using my home WAN connection. I also download onto the same laptop using my LAN at work. For the past 3 days now, however, I am unable to download any songs or albums from Ovi Music unless I use the data package on my phone (3G / GPRS).
If I use the WAN or LAN (phone or laptop) I get the error message "download failed - failed to access server". I've changed nothing in my settings - nothing at all. I don't have a problem accessing the internet on my cellphone using the WAN connection, however. It just seems to be a problem with Ovi suddenly. Because I don't want to use my data package to download music and software - It's more economical using the WAN or LAN.
I am not able to browse the net using gprs but its fine with WiFi.

I have got settings from reliance from GPRS, WAP and MMS setting.The problem faced is whenever, I connect to opera mini browser, it connecting for 3 minutes and shows failed to connect to the internet. I thought, it is GPRS setting or network problem. But, after lot of enquiry with Reliance, they forwarded the settings.
