i just bought an n900 and waiting for it to be delivered, it's second hand and i gather that some n900s don't accept all 3 sims but there was an update for it so now it does, is that right? if mine isn't accepted how do i update it given that it doesn't work with ovi or pc suite?
View 7 Repliesi realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI currently have a 5800 and am happy with it, but it is also a bit buggy - slow, hangs/freezes, sometimes restarts etc. I have the option of buying a new N97 for $200 and I'm really tempted to buy it and sell the 5800 (I originally wanted the N97 but couldn't afford it). I like the QWERTY and its homescreen but I keep hearing the ram is too small for its capabilities and that it's been very buggy. Can anyone tell me if it has improved with the updates and if I should get it, or just stick to the 5800?

I downloaded about 30 apps, a lot of Nokia and also other populars such as Skype, Facebook, Twitter and so on.I haven't received any app update since I bought my phone and downloaded all those apps. I think it's strange because on my 800, I still receive regular app updates (about two-three times a week I think)So, I think it's abnormal that I don't receive any updates on the 920. it has been widely reported that the routing algorithm has some flaws in choosing the best route. there are many examples in this forum.so i expect that it will be impoved in the future.these improvements will be only for devices running 3.03 and later or will be they be backported also to 3.01?this is quite important because a bad routing algorithm is very bad for a navigation application even if it is "cheap".
I've downloaded the latest firmware and a map for E71 through Ovi Suite. They're pretty big, so I want to back them up before the next Windows reinstall. Is that possible?
View 4 Replies View Relatedusing Nokia C7 and Belle and tried to update maps. First error message said 'if you update you will lose all the other maps data'. OK, I need the latest maps. Using wi-fi I updated just my countries latest maps, so far so good. Then updated Europe OK. That was last night. Today, tried to update all the other maps and Nokia suite says they are already on the phone.The C7 hangs on 'Map Loader' for 10 mins and then quits, tried restarting the C7 and computer - no change. Nokia suite say all maps are on the phone, no idea how they got there or what version they are though.

I watched my Nokia Lumia 920 update three apps tonight. Two of the updates used the phone's cell network. One update used wifi. Is there a setting on that I can set to make the phone only use wifi to download updates?

Some days after I started using the phone I got a notification that there is an update to the access point application. Afterwards it worked. But now I had to reset it because I wasn't able to send and receive SMS anymore. So I again have no data connection, but this time the Store is not offering me the update and I can't search for it or install it via the PC.Microsoft wasn't able to help, neither was my operator nor Nokia. Does anybody have an idea what to do? I'm thinking about either changing the operator (to one that has settings on the SIM card) or give away the phone. Punishing the operator for this doesn't sound right to me though.

It is a paid application so, when I get a message, maximum download attempts reached, it is very upsetting. But I heard Nokia has had problems withe the lennex operating system. I need a phone with a good battery (I am traveling a lot of time), I need connectivity, but also multimedia (video and music), but must of all I need a very good organizer. I can not afford a phone with so much problems and I don't have time to debug it!
So, I have to choose from these models: N900, N97, N97 mini, E72, BB 9700 Bold and IP 3GS. I know that you are not fans of BB and IP, but because I am a lot in the airplane, I need the multimedia and entertainment from 3GS and the office from BB.
My traffic updates have stopped working and I don't know why. They were updating fine until about 4 days ago, and now everytime I click on update traffic info, it does the check, and no traffic info comes through. I'm from the UK, using the 5800 XpressMusic with the latest Ovi Maps App.
