Is there a way to add/personalise message tones with the Lumia 610.So far I've found no way to do this.If this is the case is there an App from windows to download to correct this or am I just wasting my time.

I have new ringtones i can download, but i want to have them in the "messaging" tones as well. why are they not populating in both and why cant i set people up to have certain Message tones? it only lets me do ring tones.

My s5 has been giving me non stop message tones when nothing is there at all. No new notifications. No new anything. I turned the sound off completey and it will still vibrate.

I have gotten my custom mp3 files assigned to different contacts but the default notification sound overrides them so they all sound the same. I know there has to be a way to have each contact have a different tone because it was added as far back as s3 which I also currently still own as well and would like to have my contacts all have different tones so I know who's texting me.

There are classes of SMS alerting that I am getting, and being able to change the tone according to family/friends, spam (yes, spam) and automated alerting would help filter (audibly) who is originating the message.

I have two questions:
1) I can't seem to figure out how to set text message tones for each individual contact for my 8520? Is this possible? (I have the T-mobile 8520 Curve if that makes a difference?)
2) How do I update my operating system for my 8520, from the T-mobile network?
When I edit a contact to assign it a ringtone or text tone, I get a different list than the sounds in the Notification center. It shows far fewer ringtones, and it doesn't even show me any text tones.

The two lists are different! Why I can't pick the same sounds for contacts?

The issue is that I have more than 100 SMSes of which some are from service providers whose number is not stored in my contacts obviously. And everytime I need some information from a particular SMS, there is no way to search for it other than scroll through each SMS till I find it. This way, I have accidently deleted important SMSes that I needed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried every combniation of settings I can think of, but I am not able to get my phone (920, developer version from BUILD) to vibrate when I receive a text message.
Currently it vibrates, but plays no ringtonw when I get a call. This is what I want. Howver, when I get a text message it simply shows a toast noification, but no vibration or sound.I have compared every setting I could find to my previous HTC WP7 handset, which does vibrate on SMS.
I have gone in the ringtones Setting screen and turned off the ringer and turned on vibration. How do I make this work? I feel like it must be something staring me in the face that I am not seeing.

So I have contacts that have two numbers with *31# and without.... But when sending txt message it tries to use this *31# number and text messages don't go anywhere... View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a really weird and annoying problem with my Lumia 800.Pretty much it starts with this:The phone totally random powers off, it wont start until i put the charger in (even if the battery really is at 40% or more).After that whenever I receive a text message (sms and mms) it won't be listed in the messaging conversation. I only see the last sms I sent/got after the phone powered off, new messages is listed in the notification window, but only there. Sending new messages works, but they won't either be listed..So I can't really read my new texts other than in the notification window that pops up when I get a new one.Deleting all my messages doesn't solve it, restarting the phone doesn't either.
