Galaxy S5 :: Non Stop Message Tones When Nothing Is There At All
Dec 16, 2015
So I just installed the newest update as of 12/14/15 not sure when it was released. But anyway. Since then. My s5 has been giving me non stop message tones when nothing is there at all. No new notifications. No new anything. I turned the sound off completey and it will still vibrate.
I have gotten my custom mp3 files assigned to different contacts but the default notification sound overrides them so they all sound the same. I know there has to be a way to have each contact have a different tone because it was added as far back as s3 which I also currently still own as well and would like to have my contacts all have different tones so I know who's texting me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6, I've had it for about 3 months. It was randomly restarting itself last month but has since stopped that. But 2 days ago I got a whatsapp message and the notification light was flashing but I couldn't get my phone to respond and the screen stayed black. I rebooted it but it did it again the next time I received a message. It is still doing it every time I get a message (whatsapp or text) if the screen is off. It only responds if I reboot. I've cleared the cache partition and it hasn't made a difference. A few times when I've rebooted it it has shut down again as soon as it comes on and does it a couple of times before staying on. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be doing this! I don't want to do a factory reset.
my samsung galaxy s6 is displaying a 403 forbidden message everytI'm I try and log into my work website to see my rosters, is there anything that I can do to get it to stop displaying that. I don't know why it's displaying this messenger as I have been able to access the website up until this morning.
Since merging Hangouts & Google Voice, when I go to listen to my voicemails, they quit playing. I get the notification in Hangouts that I have a new voicemail, but when I click on the play button, and place the phone to my ear, the message stops playing. Didn't have this issue in the Voice app.
I remember before the 3gs came out the only way to get custom sms tones is to make it the same name as an original sms tone but they had to be short because you cant stop them no matter what buttons you press.my question today is has anyone found a way to make longer sms tones that can be longer than a couple seconds...i guess im just used to hearing my favorite songs play when i get a text so if there is away please feel free to let me know.
About 4 weeks ago I purchased three .99cent alert tones (R2D2: Happy, Chewbacca: Roar, and Lightsaber: Power Up). However once I synced my 4s with my macbook the tones vanished from the phone, and no matter what I do (resets, de-selecting sync tones then reselecting it, manually dragging it over to the phone) these 3 tones will not get onto the phone. All of my $1.29 tones still work however.I re-purchased them (hey Apple - how about not making people pay multiple times for tones), and again, the tones worked until my Iphone synced with my macbook, then the same vanishing act occured.
I haven't seen much anymore in the forums about being able to set your own tone for a received message; am I the only one wishing that Apple would add this?
I have checked all the text message tone settings and notification settings but NOTHING is coming up at all spent bout 40 mins on this with no luck ...
Is there a way to add/personalise message tones with the Lumia 610.So far I've found no way to do this.If this is the case is there an App from windows to download to correct this or am I just wasting my time.
I just bought this phone a few days ago. I am very excited and start playing with the camera. after a few shots and a few mode change, the phone freeze and restart. then i open the camera app again it shows only black screen and a camera failed message
i tried using other camera app but it's no use. the phone has no warranty in my country so i could not have a replacement.
been to the samsung service center also but still no luck.
I have a Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to stop the notification of receiving an e-mail without stopping the notification of text messages. Is there a way to differentiate? I was able to do this on older phones.
can anyone tell me if the new iphone has got any good ringtones and have they changed the message tones? also why wont apple let us change them every other phone i have had you can
Is there anything in the iPhone SMS tones that allows the tone to change according to the sender or the message content? There are classes of SMS alerting that I am getting, and being able to change the tone according to family/friends, spam (yes, spam) and automated alerting would help filter (audibly) who is originating the message.
my phone constantly is on vibrate. no incoming call ring tones or text message notifications. turned it on and off and no, it's not on the vibrate option
1) I can't seem to figure out how to set text message tones for each individual contact for my 8520? Is this possible? (I have the T-mobile 8520 Curve if that makes a difference?)
2) How do I update my operating system for my 8520, from the T-mobile network?
I have a SGS5 on Verizon wireless with the most recent software update from last week. This morning I changed my phone's battery and my custom ringtones--for Gmail and stock messaging apps--are no longer working and no longer appear as options in the settings for both apps. The custom ringtone files are still on the phone.I've tried re adding them, and copying them to different folders; I also tried searching for any of the existing stock sounds but nothing comes up with I search for "Postman" "harp" or "dew drops."
I have created a folder called media/audio/notifications on my sd card put an mp3 10second track on it, this appears in settings/sounds/ notifications along with the standard ones, it will play if i test it there (pressing the round button) click ok and the original ta da sound plays when i get a text. if i open settings/sounds/ notifications my new track is still highlighted. i got this phone cos i don't distinguish sounds too well and this is urgently needed.
How do I turn on the key tones on the dialer during a call on the 920F? It is enabled in the sound settings but while on a call/speakerphone it key tones do not sound.
When making a call the S6 makes a connection tone and a disconnection tone at the end of the call. You could turn this off on the S5 I cannot find where to turn it off on the S6.
Is there a way to add personalized tones for the stock messanger? I know how to do ring tones but they do not work for texts. If there is no way is there a different app to use?
just getting to grips with my new android phone ( dragging myself into the 21st century as my daughter informs me ) so using the functions is still new to me. However one thing I have found is that, unlike my old Samsung Monte, I can't assign individual test alert tones on a contact basis so that all have the same alert. Looking through forums it seems the way to go is to use a separate app that will do that and seems that there are three mainly recommended - chomp sms, handcent sms and Go SMS Pro. So I have two questions, firstly does anyone have recommendations as to which may be the better to go for of the three or have a better sugegstions. Secondly anything I need to do when installing an app on an android phone, probably a dumb quetion to some but I'd like to have use of my phone for more than a week before managing to blow it up
I heard that it can be deleted automatically when there is little memory space, but I'm keeping an eye on the memory left!
Built-in Media Storage:
otal Free: 61% 3.7 GBTotal Used: 39% 2.5 GBI'm using blackberry for business, so I also receive important SMS. How can they get deleted so conveniently?
I replied to a MMS using a normal text message the other day and now this same message keeps getting resent over and over non-stop. At first only a few a day, now its more than 6 every day.How can I stop this. The message was also deleted and the battery pulled out and phone completely restarted.
