Read on another forum about Disable Rich Communications (RCS) but could not find it on S6....
Is there a way to turn that setting off?
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated my phone to CyanogenMod(CM)13.0 which went fine. However when I rebooted the phone a popup came up the entire time telling me that google play services stopped working. In an attempt to fix it, I accidently removed google play services, causing a bunch of trouble at the moment.
I went to the CM Wiki and first I downloaded the "nano" variant of the GAPPS, trying to fix everything in the end. I put the file on my phone and tried to install it via recovery. This message came up however.Insufficnt storage space available in system partition. You may want to use a smaller GAPPS package or consider removing some apps using GAPPS-config ( bla bla) Error code 70. As far as I can see, it is able to mount /system and /data, but the partition does not seem to have enough space left, at least so it says.
After that I tried the same with the "pico" variant, which also gave the same result. Pretty strange for a package that small.So after taking a backup of important files I tried to wipe data/factory reset (was going to reinstall everything), to which I got an error "data wipe failed", which is correct since I can still boot in CM13 after that. So I'm a bit in trouble here. I cannot seem to wipe my phone entirely, nor am I able to reinstall GAPPS due to this error 70. Could this be a permissions problem somehow? Things I have done so far to check what the problem could be:
- I've checked the space left on the /system partition which is 501 MB. Should be enough I guess?
- I've checked the /system partition for errors via adb shell while the phone was in recovery mode, which came out clean.
Whenever I turn off mobile data, I get a popup saying "Unless you connect to a Wi-Fi network, you will not be able to use the Internet...", is there a way to turn this popup feature off?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S6, I've had it for about 3 months. It was randomly restarting itself last month but has since stopped that. But 2 days ago I got a whatsapp message and the notification light was flashing but I couldn't get my phone to respond and the screen stayed black. I rebooted it but it did it again the next time I received a message. It is still doing it every time I get a message (whatsapp or text) if the screen is off. It only responds if I reboot. I've cleared the cache partition and it hasn't made a difference. A few times when I've rebooted it it has shut down again as soon as it comes on and does it a couple of times before staying on. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be doing this! I don't want to do a factory reset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my GS2 from Gingerbread to ICS. This was an OTA upgrade. I simply downloaded the upgrade and clicked "go ahead". All went ok, except for one thing. Every few minutes I get a rather annoying little pop up message which reads:
Software update
Device update succeeded
I've tried resetting the phone and so on, but it keeps popping up every xx minutes.
my samsung galaxy s6 is displaying a 403 forbidden message everytI'm I try and log into my work website to see my rosters, is there anything that I can do to get it to stop displaying that. I don't know why it's displaying this messenger as I have been able to access the website up until this morning.

I've checked on Messages/settings/Notifications that the Popup Display and Preview message are both checked . Also when i get a message and i push the power button there isn't an envelop symbol top left of the screen just the blue led thats flashes .

It does this even with wifi on. It will constantly popup with every app i open, every time. even turning everything on it continues, what should i do?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using the stock MUSIC App/Widget ... I have the phone connected via Bluetooth to a portable speaker. It will play for a while (like 20-30 mins) and suddenly just stop playing. I check the APP on the phone & I press the PLAY button and in continues just fine - almost like STOP was pressed. I don't have any settings for turning it off after a certain time. This seems to happen intermittently on either of the Bluetooth accessories I pair with the phone. (Headphones or Speaker).

I have disabled all the moto actions, but the clock screen is still constantly coming up whenever the phone moves, such as when I'm walking or it is sitting on the passenger seat in my car! I can make it stop by disabling moto display, but since there's no LED to notify me when I get a text or email, I'll never know....
Every day at 5pm, I get an annoying pop up message. The message only says "Featured App" across the top. It appears to be a solicitation for various apps. Everything from budgeting to making messages invisible for a "secret affair." Its neither a text message nor an email, just pops up on the phone. The only option is the download link at the bottom which takes me to App World. If I hit the end button several times, it will sometimes go away.
It appears to have started when I upgraded App World a couple of weeks back.
Since merging Hangouts & Google Voice, when I go to listen to my voicemails, they quit playing. I get the notification in Hangouts that I have a new voicemail, but when I click on the play button, and place the phone to my ear, the message stops playing. Didn't have this issue in the Voice app.

The only problem is that they only display for a few seconds and they usually vanish before I can get to the phone to see what the notification was, and as far as I can tell, there's no way to pull up a list of old notifications. So I'm wondering if there's any way to make these notifications display longer. Right now, they seem to be about five seconds and they're gone. I'd like to extend that to at least ten seconds. And is there any way to pull up a list of old notifications so I can see what I might have missed when I was away from my phone?

Starting today, when I select more than one email, text, etc. to delete, it pops up the delete confirmation prompt. I pulled the battery and tried again. Still, the confirmation dialog pops up.If I delete individual messages, there is no dialog.

View 1 Replies View Related I use my phone now. The recent apps/multiwindow thing keeps popping up, no matter what I'm doing and even if I quit all my running apps. Despite restarts and complete phone drainage, this problem keeps occuring for the past month or 2.
I use my phone to play games a lot (like several hours a day), have active Line group conversations, use Facebook app frequently w/its Messenger app, and I also use Dodol Launcher for my phone too. I really don't want to go to the factory default method of fixing things, especially since it's a major pain to reinstall all the games that I have installed. However, a quick search through google doesn't seem to show any results about this continuous recent apps popup bug.
I have rooted my device and want to stay on stock firmware for a while. I have deleted all knox system files I can see but I'm still getting the annoying popup and notification.
