Everytime i go applications the software update app opens up and says important software. i have started the update but nothing happens. this keeps happening everytime.
View 2 RepliesNokia is really driving me nuts with this, I have one applicaiton in particular that will just not complete the download. It is a paid application so, when I get a message, maximum download attempts reached, it is very upsetting. I have logged feedback request via the built in feature in the application store and you can see clearly Nokia does not care what response they send a person.Upon further research, I find some other applications have this issue too. View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated my phone to CyanogenMod(CM)13.0 which went fine. However when I rebooted the phone a popup came up the entire time telling me that google play services stopped working. In an attempt to fix it, I accidently removed google play services, causing a bunch of trouble at the moment.
I went to the CM Wiki and first I downloaded the "nano" variant of the GAPPS, trying to fix everything in the end. I put the file on my phone and tried to install it via recovery. This message came up however.Insufficnt storage space available in system partition. You may want to use a smaller GAPPS package or consider removing some apps using GAPPS-config ( bla bla) Error code 70. As far as I can see, it is able to mount /system and /data, but the partition does not seem to have enough space left, at least so it says.
After that I tried the same with the "pico" variant, which also gave the same result. Pretty strange for a package that small.So after taking a backup of important files I tried to wipe data/factory reset (was going to reinstall everything), to which I got an error "data wipe failed", which is correct since I can still boot in CM13 after that. So I'm a bit in trouble here. I cannot seem to wipe my phone entirely, nor am I able to reinstall GAPPS due to this error 70. Could this be a permissions problem somehow? Things I have done so far to check what the problem could be:
- I've checked the space left on the /system partition which is 501 MB. Should be enough I guess?
- I've checked the /system partition for errors via adb shell while the phone was in recovery mode, which came out clean.

I love the Toast notifications on my Icon, which has Windows 8.1 through Verizon. The only problem is that they only display for a few seconds and they usually vanish before I can get to the phone to see what the notification was, and as far as I can tell, there's no way to pull up a list of old notifications. So I'm wondering if there's any way to make these notifications display longer. Right now, they seem to be about five seconds and they're gone. I'd like to extend that to at least ten seconds. And is there any way to pull up a list of old notifications so I can see what I might have missed when I was away from my phone?

"Check for updates is not available at this time. Try again later."
There is no problem with my data connection when I am checking for updates.
My Xperia x10 mini pro no longer gets facebook updates/notifications. Timsecape is on, txts and missed calls are there, everything is ticked and it is set up for media but no facebook updates......

Does it matter to the other applications if a different time zone is selected? Can one perhaps download an augmented time zone list?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the lastest Maps from OVI and also the Map Uploader and installed everything ok.I have an Nokia E71.When i access my OVI maps and try to navigate to an address i keep getting a pop up asking me to visit the OVI shop to purchase a licence? Why do I have to purchase a 1 day, 10 day etc etc licence if its apparently all free forever? How do I get all of this for free?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated my 5800 to the long-awaited v40 firmware and so far it's great, but I've got one serious issue with it. In the previous firmware, the contacts on the homescreen used the default number when I pressed the telephone icon, but now in the new firmware when I select a homescreen contact and press the call icon, a popup appears asking me which number I'd like to call. This is slightly strange, seeing as the same contact selected from the Contacts Book correctly uses the default number without asking. I have tried removing the default number settings and setting it again, and also removing contacts from the homescreen and adding them again, but neither worked. It's pretty annoying, because having certain contacts on the homescreen is meant, at least in my opionion, to speed things up, like speed dial, but now it requires an additional click before the call is made... So, anybody know how to make the HS contacts use default numbers?

I haven't had the need to install any new apps for a while, but when I recently tried installing one, it failed. I've updated all software and there's enough space on the phone for the application(s) I wanted to install, yet it doesn't work.When I've purchased an application, it goes to install it, only to stop installing it after about 3-5 seconds without giving any notice or a reason why. It just stops. Updating apps already installed is no problem.

So the problem is - how can i re-install previously purchased applications in ovi store?I thought it will be easy way, however it doesn't. Despite the fact that all of my previously purchased apps appeared in "My Stuff" section in Ovi Store applications, i cant download it, they only offer me to buy it again, I tried to solve this problem using pc, i wanted to download apps to pc from ovi store website and then move to phone. But all i can do - send a link to phone, and there i was offered to buy app again. It's just shocking omission of Ovi Store, that repels future purchases.

But then observed that it is opening only when used with WiFi, but does not open in 2G/3G connection. This is new to me. I was an Android user and use to browse the same news site applications with either wifi or 2G/3G. The news site applications are: Times of India and Ibnlive.
