I am having problems picking up the T-mobile 3G network with the Lumia 800. The phone works fine on the 2G EDGE network. but data connection is soooo slow! I think the phone may not be compatible with the 3G network.

As far as im aware I don't have anything on mute as I wouldn't even no how to do that. Has anyone else had this problem?? How do I fix it im on pay as you go so it cost my partner alot of money
View 1 Replies View Relatedi was on the phone ealier to 02 customer services earlier to get my emails sorted out and shortly after my phone has stopped picking up the 02 network. i tried the sim in another phone and its working fine and ive tried to reset it and tried to restore network connections but no luck.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.
Anybody else having this problem?
For the last 2 days or so my N8 has not picked up any 3G signals, even when other Nokias nearby are.

I had used the maps app earlier on in the day so don't know if this has anything to do with it. Its not the sim card because I have it working in another phone. I always know the E5 was a phone!

I find it very irritating that the phone has no facility for date and time to be set from the network, particularly as my Lumia 800 did have this facility, as have alll my smartphones for the last few years, including iPhones and various flavours of Android phones, all on the Telstra network. Why does the Lumia 900 not have this facility as it is definitely supported both by the Telstra network and by the previous Lumia 800. It also doesnt help that the Lumia 900 is very inaccurate without this facility. It is beyond belief that the phone does not have what I consider to be basic, taken for granted functionality.

I have tried everything I can think of. I am using a Linksys WAG160N modem router running WEP encryption.
I know the WEP key (because I made it) so I know it is correct, but the phone always says that the password is incorrect.

Also we want them to be somewhat slim and not bulky. I would think a silicon case would be better than a hard case in shock absorption but please correct me if I am wrong. My wife keeps her phone in her purse while I usually have it in my pocket. Are budget for both is $50 shipped. Do hard cases help absorb shock when you drop your phone? once my phone is in to sos mode its not picking up signal even after being back in range...i had set my network mode to 2g.....is that the reason?

I have owned my Razr just over a week and been dismayed at it's inability to pick up a signal . In the building where I work it will not pick up a signal anywhere - not at my desk, in the kitchen, the stairwell .. nowhere.My previous phone, Nokia E63, never had less than 4 bars and oft 5 and picked up a signal anywhere in the building even , and appologies for TMI, when sat on the loo.So is this the norm with the Razr ? Is it not great at picking up signals and should I see if I can swao to a different phone - a colleagues Smasung Galaxy S 2 has no problems getting a signal, or might there be something wrong with the one I have in particular ?

I had upgraded to the 8900 september of 09, and I was just being noisy and pulled out the 8310 well I turned it on and it had the little 'x' in the top right corner, saying there was no service (yes my SIM was inside and placed correctly). So I took it out and put it back into my 8900 and all worked fine. But then the 8310 didn't even say 'SOS' in to top corner and there was no connections at all. I then replaced the antenna thinking that was the problem but apparently its not bc it still won't pick up a signal. Now it restarts every time I touch it.

The last folder that came up was 2011 folder and my 2012 folders for january and february isnot there. if i go to my galery, the images are there but not there when connected to the pc. Done a few resets, flashed stock firmware, but nothing works.
Based in UK and my phone is unbranded on EE.
My phone keeps on picking up old emails. Even if I delete them on my phone the next day I will have 26 new emails which are actually quite old. This happens every day,sometimes a few times.

It's a 2WIRE AT&T router for a DSL line. Do I need to set up something under DHCP or BootP or Static settings?
I no longer have the 3G network and I can get WiFi at all other WiFi spots except when a 2WIRE DSL box (router) is being used.
