Mar 30, 2012I had purchased a NL710 two months ago and it is very different from others, especially s60v5 ( Nokia 5800 xpressmusic ) which i was using previously.The only thing that Gives me a shame is when my friends ask me to capture their images with my Smartphone and SEND IT TO THEM VIA BLUETOOTH. I can't because my SMARTPHONE does not have BTF. They start laughing at me. **bleep**.I don't know that if MS will add it later but i was unable to get any rumours of BTF IN WP8. In Developing Countries Specially mine i.e. India there are daily 4-5 Files transferred with Bluetooth among us. So it's a big pain after paying for getting the full experience out of a NOKIA.I Think Nokia should Add it to their Lumia's by adding it directly to WP or Release a Software for sending files...If Yes then please make a comment on my Topic and if No please let us know why..

I shot video with an app named Video Camera Pro - it puts the files in some hidden forder , not in camera roll.
The app says that the way to upload the files is by wi-fi and they provide a link to download a server software but its broken.

May 1, 2015I'm trying to transfer videos and music to and from my 1520.
I plug the phone into the USB cable, the phone software launches, select explorer, navigate to my sd card, wait for it to refresh, goto the camera folder and wait forever for thumbnails to draw. When I start to scroll through all the photos and videos, I barely get to the videos I want to transfer on to my pc.
Most of the time I give up and upload them to onedrive and download them, which is just stupid way to transfer files.
Lumia 1020 :: Camera Grip - File Transfer Locking Up
Jun 16, 2014I recently noticed an issue with my Lumia 1020. Not sure if the 8.1 preview caused the problem or not, but anytime I have the Camera Grip attached, the file transfers through usb locks up in Windows. The minute I take the grip off it functions properly again.
Why this is happening? It's rather inconvenient to take off the grip every time I want to connect to my PC.

Jan 6, 2016Took a nice 45-minute video on Xmas day with my 950. It uploaded to the PC but I can't put it on removable media. It's 5.8GB, too big for a DVD. Tried to transfer it to a new 16GB USB thumb drive but I get a "file too big" error on the PC. Tried another blank thumb drive; same thing. PC is running the latest version of Win 10. I'm stumped.

Aug 8, 2012I just got my new phone (Lumia 900) today and so far I love it! I transferred my music via Zune but when my old phone an N900 died I copied my contacts list onto my laptop. I have a folder of vCard files which I want to put on my new phone. I have connected via the USB cord but the phone doesn't appear on the list of drives etc. in windows explorer. For some reason it appears in devices and drivers, but I can't drag an drop into it. What I need is a similar thing to the sync option in Zune. To be clear this is my list of phone contact numbers only, not email etc.

May 8, 2012I have around 450 contacts in my address book (names, address, phone nos) on N9 and around 400 on Windows Lives account (combination of Gmail, Facebook and LinkedIn) on my Lumia 800.So, I tried using the Contacts Transfer app to move the contacts from N9 to Lumia via Bluetooth. What happened was that it transferred around 60-70 contacts and then failed.I tried repeating it several times, each time having to pair with the N9 again on Bluetooth and each time failing the transfer after moving around 60-70 or so contacts.I then decided to give up and look into PeopleHub and under the contacts, I found hundreds of entries labelled <Unnamed>, with empty contents in them.Now, how can I get rid of them and why failing to complete the transfer resulted in these blank entries being generated?I also logged into my Windows Live account and indeed, it is saying I have over 900 contacts but these <Unnamed> contacts are not listed anywhere in the ALL, 123, A, B, C, D, E, etc. groups. So, I'm unable to bulk delete them on the web.

I have tried Windows explorer as well as the Windows Desktop App. I can see my phone in explorer and I an click to open the Music folder. When I try to copy/paste to there it just hangs and then I get an error message to stop or skip copying? I am using Windows 7 SP1. This is a deal breaker if I can't get music and photos on here.

Nov 30, 2013Twice recently it has happened to me that I have completely lost pictures when reframing with the Nokia Camera app.The following has happened:
I opened a photo from the camera roll in Nokia Camera, reframed it, clicked save. As usual, the progress bar indicates that the app is working, but then an error message appears, saying nothing except "an error occured. Please try again later", and then the photo is gone.
When looking at the camera roll folder on the computer, one sees that the 5MP photo file has a size of 0 bytes, and the highres file has vanished completely from the phone.

Those are like 10-15 second 1080p recording.Yesterday, I captured a video for almost 5 mins. I am not sure how big the file is but bluetooth just quits and doesn't even initiate the connection. I know zune is out of the question because there is no zune for lumia 920 (I think they should bring that back in and update).I tried a lot of advice from many posts already, and non of them work. It is 100MB !!With other phones, you just need to plug in the phone USB and the PC sees the phone as a drive.Why do I need 100MB ? I don't want 100MB.
