I tried the appealing Bluetooth option, but unfortunately it didn't work. The pairing of the devices seemed to go OK.But after starting "contacts transfer" with some dots running over the screen of Lumia for a few second, I got "unable to complete the connection etc.".So apparently N95 is not supported or something.

May 8, 2012I have around 450 contacts in my address book (names, address, phone nos) on N9 and around 400 on Windows Lives account (combination of Gmail, Facebook and LinkedIn) on my Lumia 800.So, I tried using the Contacts Transfer app to move the contacts from N9 to Lumia via Bluetooth. What happened was that it transferred around 60-70 contacts and then failed.I tried repeating it several times, each time having to pair with the N9 again on Bluetooth and each time failing the transfer after moving around 60-70 or so contacts.I then decided to give up and look into PeopleHub and under the contacts, I found hundreds of entries labelled <Unnamed>, with empty contents in them.Now, how can I get rid of them and why failing to complete the transfer resulted in these blank entries being generated?I also logged into my Windows Live account and indeed, it is saying I have over 900 contacts but these <Unnamed> contacts are not listed anywhere in the ALL, 123, A, B, C, D, E, etc. groups. So, I'm unable to bulk delete them on the web.

Nov 28, 2012I've been able to transfer video from my 920 to laptop fine via bluetooth. Filesize range from 28mb to 40mb. Those are like 10-15 second 1080p recording.Yesterday, I captured a video for almost 5 mins. I am not sure how big the file is but bluetooth just quits and doesn't even initiate the connection. I've been looking for a free ftp client but I can't any. I created an html form but when I visited the form, the browse window doesn't popup.

I know zune is out of the question because there is no zune for lumia 920 (I think they should bring that back in and update).I tried a lot of advice from many posts already, and non of them work. It is 100MB !!With other phones, you just need to plug in the phone USB and the PC sees the phone as a drive.Why do I need 100MB ? I don't want 100MB. I am not interested in what Zune can supposedly do for me - I already have other programs which do all I want done, without messing up my PC with a vast amount of software I do not want.

I have my lumia 920 which is the best phone to currently hit the american market, but i am unable to use it in its current state. There is solutions to transfer your contacts, calendar, pictures, video, and music along with playlist and album covers. But i'm stump that there isnt a way to transfer my text and mms from my iphone. i have important messages and would like to be able to utilize only one device if i need to reference anything. with all the work you have put into migration i'm surprise text wasn't first on the list. i have my phone but havent activated it yet and probably won't if i cant bring over my past text history from my iphone 4s. i dont understand how it was presented that migration from an iphone would be seamless when migrating a big piece of important content was left out and as of now no announce to develop a solution. as much as i dont want to but i may have no option but to return and abandon nokia and windows phone altogether, because that is a big deal breaker for me and i'm sure many others. i did not know during my anticipation of this wondeful device, that, i would have this as an issue.

Mar 30, 2012I had purchased a NL710 two months ago and it is very different from others, especially s60v5 ( Nokia 5800 xpressmusic ) which i was using previously.The only thing that Gives me a shame is when my friends ask me to capture their images with my Smartphone and SEND IT TO THEM VIA BLUETOOTH. I can't because my SMARTPHONE does not have BTF. They start laughing at me. **bleep**.I don't know that if MS will add it later but i was unable to get any rumours of BTF IN WP8. In Developing Countries Specially mine i.e. India there are daily 4-5 Files transferred with Bluetooth among us. So it's a big pain after paying for getting the full experience out of a NOKIA.I Think Nokia should Add it to their Lumia's by adding it directly to WP or Release a Software for sending files...If Yes then please make a comment on my Topic and if No please let us know why..

Dec 4, 2012I've had the Lumia 920 for about a week and a half now without any problems, and after the complimentary wireless charger came in, I used it. But now some of my phone's basic apps will not start. When I tap them, it shifts to a black screen (time still visible at the top right), and after a couple of seconds of nothing happening, the phone brings itself back to the start screen. Apps that still work are one's I've downloaded myself from the store and Music+Videos, but just to name a couple, apps like Messaging, Camera, Calculator, Calendar, Contacts, Settings, Mail, Internet Explorer, all give me the problem I've described.
I've tried turning the phone off and on several times, including a soft reset, but no luck.
I have not tried a hard reset yet as I was hoping there might be a solution without having to resort to that.
