Apr 6, 2012I am using lumia 800 and updated my cellular to 12070 yesterday.But unfortunately the battery was still poor, it consumed all the batteries from 100% to the statebthat phone not being able to turn on by 6-7 hours.So i resetted all data and settings and I solved the battery problem.However another problem occured.i couldn't use nokia maps and network setting app after the reset.When i try to install the programme, the error occurs and I couldn't find "nokia collection"I consulted this problem with Microsoft store in Budapest and two nokia care centres and all of them couldn't solve my problem so I asked the phone seller to send it to the other center because the phone is made for Italy and Hungarian nokia centres told me that I have to pay money for it, even though it is brand new

Nov 15, 2012I am having a problem while playing music that is stored on the device in my collection (not streaming). I try to play a song and it says "opening". Then the song comes in and out sporadically for a couple of seconds. Then it stops for about two minutes and then plays again for a few seconds. Sometimes it plays fine, but I notice that when I am at the health club, the problem always occurs. Could it be a connection issue even if the music is stored locally and not being streamed?

May 1, 2012I am using E6 Anna. I was earlier using a Blackberry. In the Blackberry there was a search box or you could simply type the name of the song and it would be automatically searched. However, in this phone, when you are in the songs list in the mucic player, there is no option to search by typing in the keywords of a song...atleast thats what i think.. Am I right? this is because I dont want to be scrolling down the whole list just to listen to a specific song. My music library is not perfect meaning I dont have songs with all details perfectly filled in. Is there any way to get over this..except updating to Belle..

Jan 26, 2010I bought my nokia n900 around 10 days back, works absolutely fantastic, gives me atleast 14-15hrs or battery life. yesterday i installed a couple of applications like MYMENU and MYTUBE. i checked it then and there and did not find it very good. so i uninstalled it. after that i cannot find 'MORE' option which is at the right bottom of the menu screen. dont know what to do know. even if i tap on the empty space at the right bottom it comes up to my dashboard.

The MMS send functionality seem to be limited to pictures.The old Nokia N95 had this beautiful functionality that it somehow compressed HD videos, so you could send them within the MMS size limit. This functionality were removed on the later Nokia Symbian phones, but it was still possible to send videos if you recorded them with low quality.

My question has to do with uninstalling an app, and since I know nothing about programming for WP, Along with many other users, I had to uninstall the MS Solitaire Collection because it drained my battery very quickly and the phone got very warm. However, after the uninstall, my battery still seems to run down quicker than it did before. This brings to mind, in general, a question about how thoroughly an app gets uninstalled. Jan 19, 2012I was generally a bit ticked-off with my E7, particularly because its USB port had gone extremely dodgy. sorted by my service provider by simply swapping the handset. The new one, however, has come with a completely different set of software loaded. Most of which is fine, but the Location App, with GPS data has dissappeared, and it's one of the items I used a lot.
I've looked at other GPS apps, but they don't have the functionality of the "location" app, mainly the ability to set a destination (via longitude and lattitude) and have it direct you there. This app has been on Nokia phones for years and years, and yet suddlenly this phone doesn't have it. Most odd.
Is it available for download from anywhere? I've looked for it on OVI for quite some time, but to no avail.
Nokia Nseries :: N8 Missing Some Apps After Optional Upgrade
Mar 23, 2012I got optional update from my N8-00 and I dont know what happened but it seems that it corrupted my phone because it doesn't pass through the loading page luckily I was able to get a fix on that. But the main problem is I've been missing some of Nokia Apps including Maps, Ovi store, quick office and also the pre-downloaded games that came with Symbian belle. I believe those are Need for Speed, Golf and I forgot the other one. How can I have those apps back? I've been doing factory reset every now and then but still programs are missing. And also those missing programs have widgets on my homescreen and an error which is "Error occurred. Widgets removed" will pop up on my screen.

Nokia Lumia :: 800 Email Sync Scheduling Missing?
Mar 30, 2012There seem to be no functionality to schedule the e-mail sync to be turned off at night, like you could with the old Symbian phones, for example between 23:00 and 7:00, or in weekends.
On the Lumia, you have to turn it off manually every night, alternatively turn off the sound every night. An effect of this is that the phone consumes so much battery at night that the alarm clock in the morning seldom works, as the battery is empty.

Dec 1, 2012Nokia,been using Maps on a Lumia 820 for two weeks now, and while the touch interface is of course a huge step forward from my previous E52, there are several (I believe essential) features that are strangely and desperately missing:The basic map view is fixed to "north up" and doesn't show any indicator of the direction the device is pointing to. The E52 had both a compass indicator and an option to rotate the map according to the device's orientation. I find map orientation essential in "pedestrian mode", especially when you're in an unknown place. While we're at map indicators: when zooming, either with the pinch and zoom gestures or with the optional +/- buttons, the map does not show a scale or ruler which the E52 also did.Both offline maps and microSD card support are unique characteristics of Nokia Maps and the Lumia 820. However, storing downloaded maps (probably the biggest data chunks on your phone) on the microSD card is not supported. You really have to the store your offline maps the phone's internal memory?When you open your list of placemarks (or favourites), that list is sorted alphabetically. With more than a few placemarks (I have well over 500, collected over many years) that's almost useless, because you see named locations scattered all over the world when you're really looking for the name of that restaurant you visited somewhere nearby some time ago. On the E52 the favorites list was of course sorted by the distance from the currently displayed map area (or the current location), which is so much more useful.
