I just recieved my Nokia 900 that I pre ordered a few days ago. After messing around with it I have noticed that it does not have any Nokia apps installed like Nokia Drive and Nokia Maps.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk everything was working fine till I inserted the memory card back into my phone after copying a video file.I hear a tone that it has detected the memory card but don't see any notification that it is installing memory card apps as it used to show. All my apps are gone but when I check the apps manager, it lists all the previously installed apps are installed. :s No apps icons visible in the apps folder but memory card detected and can be accessed via file manager.I have already removed and reinserted the card several times and turned the phone on/off.What to do ? Are there any files that can be copied so that the phone autodetects the installed apps?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Microsoft Apps 2.1 via SW update but it is not getting installed. I get an error as "Unfortunately there was a problem getting your updates. You can use your 603 as normal. Please try again later to complete the update". I tried more than 20 times now, but everytime I get the same error.
Is there a problem with Microsoft Apps for 603? I have enough memory on my phone to have this 45 MB application installed. I do not where the downloaded file gets saved. Does anybody know about this.
And how do I uninstall the previous version of Microsoft Apps from my phone, I do not see an option for that on the icon.

I've looked around a bit on the internet, and found out that it may be due to the number of installed apps on the phone being too large. And of course, there are workarounds, but for some functions, like changing the settings of some applications, the list of installed apps is necessary.
Questions:
1. Can the problem be resolved? After all, I didn't pump the thing full of Micro-SD memory for nothing.
2. Does Nokia know about this bug? Is it or has it been taken care of?
3. What's the limit on the number of installed apps for the application management to function correctly?
1. If I want factory setting back ( resetting / formating phone ) does it deletes everything non-factory ? Does it reinstalls games ( factory ) if they are deleted ?
2. Why I cannot update Ovi maps 3.01 to 3.03 ? I openen the file on PC and installed it on the phone but when I try to open the maps it flashes Ovi maps interface for 0.5s and then goes back to the main menu.
E73 running symbian etc. on T-mobile network. Used on an Wireless LAN for calls / web as well as regular cell, as per most people.
I found (looking from both PC-suite and via phone's application manager) that I had new installs of Fr0MA_0x2000E2FC, the Fr0MA_installer, MDM_Client, Media DS Plugin, MMS DS Plugin, PIPS Installer,etc. Never saw them earlier.
These are new to me, but web searches show they can be associated with digital rights. However, given potential power of the Apps from a remote site I was worried.
1. If I remove them is there any risk to phone use (i.e., if needed can I reinstall them).
2. Where are they likely to have recently appeared from (another app's support, malware, T-mobile or Nokia).
i am running low in c drive...Can i delete adobe pdf reader or other pre-installed apps?

I bought an Asha 311 but it didn't come with Social, Chat, free EA Games app installed. I guess it's a Middle East version of the S40 OS I have on it. I've updated it to v3.90 bu t it still didn't appear.

I have restarted both Phone and laptop several times. I did connect successfully to my HTC Radar. I don't even get the "Charging" symbol on my Lumia. Connecting My Lumia to another laptop running Windows 8 works just fine. How can I install the correct driver, and from where to I get it? From recent installed applications a major ones would be Ovi Maps and (today) Java 2.0 from Nokia Beta Labs. I am not sure which one could cause the described problem, but I think it would be Java. Why? Because without memory card present I can enter 'installed apps' without any problem. I have to tell you, that only in my opinion Java causes that, I don't know if any other doesn't. How to manage the problem without a hard reset? I really wouldn't like to install all my stuff once again.

I have Nokia E71, I bought it 2nd hand, it boots very slowly. The Nokia Banner remains intact for atleast 1 whole minute. Rest is fine & there r no startup applications installed .
