Lumia 950 :: File Not Adding To Phone - Get A (file Too Big) Error On The PC
Jan 6, 2016
Took a nice 45-minute video on Xmas day with my 950. It uploaded to the PC but I can't put it on removable media. It's 5.8GB, too big for a DVD. Tried to transfer it to a new 16GB USB thumb drive but I get a "file too big" error on the PC. Tried another blank thumb drive; same thing. PC is running the latest version of Win 10. I'm stumped.
Take a picture, get error message that states: File system error. A screen pop up and wants me to save to another file? But even when I change the file name error message comes back. I have no pictures saved on the phone and can not find in options how to fix where the picture will be saved.
What should I do to access word files in my media card? my Doc to go displays an error message saying "this file cannot be opened because its an RTF file"
Just bought the 920 on Friday and I can not transfer any files to it. I have tried Windows explorer as well as the Windows Desktop App. I can see my phone in explorer and I an click to open the Music folder. When I try to copy/paste to there it just hangs and then I get an error message to stop or skip copying? I am using Windows 7 SP1. This is a deal breaker if I can't get music and photos on here.
Im able to access my phone folders via buluetooth its a Motorola Entice W766. I seen a folder in there that says ringtones. What type of file do I need to ad to get the ringtones, meaning is it a .midi , .wav file or etc?anywhere I can download a couple free ones just to try it out?
How can I share a PDF file that is stored in my Phone? The existing Adobe has no Share functionality and it is literally impossible to attach a pdf file stored in the phone while composing a mail. I urge Nokia team to come up with an app as Adobe seems to be least bothered about Win Phone.
I dont find a way to transfer video files from Lumia 1020 to PC or to anywere else.
I shot video with an app named Video Camera Pro - it puts the files in some hidden forder , not in camera roll. The app says that the way to upload the files is by wi-fi and they provide a link to download a server software but its broken.
Seems like it should be a simple task, but is a hoop jumping nightmare on the 1020. I simply want to email a photo to my printer (Epson Artisan 730), which only prints pdf attachments (jpgs do not print with epson email connect). I've downloaded several apps that promise to be able to create a pdf from a jpg image file and then mail it, but none seem to deliver on that promise.
EDIT: Now have jpeg printing working via email. Problem was paper source and size. Unfortunately can only use 4x6 default size for photos. Still need pdf printing from the main paper cassette to get larger prints.
Wher is one of the best and the most handy SE options - adding songs to playlist in audio player stright from their destination folder? I just want to add some songs which location I know. searchin for one bl**dy song between 2000 other tittles is just ridiculous. Options provided by SE vivaz pro symbian software are just useless. Its easier to remember name of folder containing 100 songs than to learn by heart 100 tittles with artists names. I got used to listening to one huge set of e.g. house shared on 10 parts but in some way vivaz pro player spreadet them on the begining , midlle and end of ALL bout 2500 songs list. Is it possible to create some software update fixing this ridiculous mistake? maby there already is sth like that?
is there any way of selecting the file type that camera image files and video files are saved as? I know that the SGS2 supports various file formats, but I can't find anywhere that actually lets you select the format type. I've checked through the manual, Googled and searched various forums without luck.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM. I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery. But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. It says Un supported files. Say for instance, I am trying to receive a docx (Microsoft Word) file, then I face this problem. Is there any way to save the file directly to any folder in memory without trying to open the received message?Had it been some protected files like .SIS or .SISX then I would agree, but It's bad if I am not able to receive general files.
Using the stock File Manager app I can see audio files on my Maxx HD's internal storage and also on the SD card. I happen to be looking at ringtone files. If I tap on the filename to play the ringtone, Amazon Cloudplayer pops up and shows all the music files on my SD card. No ringtones can be found. If I back out of Amazon Cloudplayer and use the file manager to try finding and playing ANY audio file on EITHER my SD card or the internal storage I get sent to Amazon Cloudplayer. I then have to use the back button to get back to the file manager icon in the App drawer. Same thing happens if I try to play audio files on my SD card. Amazon Cloud Player pops up. I don't want to use Amazon Cloud Player to play an audio file in SD storage.
If I connect my phone to my PC and navigate to the ringtones on internal storage and click on them they play as per usual (Windows media player). If I use my PC to play audio files on the SD card they play as usual. Why does my phone default to Amazon Cloud Player when I tap on an audio file in File Manager? What is the stock audio file player on the Maxx HD? Why can't I browse to an audio file with the file manager and tap on it and have it play? How do I fix this?
Why is there no File no standardized file manager or explorer concept where you can manage your data on your Micro SD card. Select lots of files and move them into a folder. Rotate mulitple pictures and email mulitiple file easily? Why is this not standardized on all blackberrys
i have just brought a second hand nokia 6700 classic on vodafone. i have been using it 4 or 5 days and i keep receiving a file called "file.ext". i get it 10 to 15 times a day, i just delete it each time. should i just restore the phone and update it with the lastest softwere?

I recorded my niece's wedding on my phone. When I got home, I tried to transfer it to my computer. It transferred but it contains a .rem file extension. I am unable to view it. How can I convert the .rem file into a different file for viewing?

My blackberry is faulty and I am in need of drawing out all the contacts from my backup file (.IPD) into Microsoft Outlook. I know that Outlook reads .CSV but I am not sure how I can get the IPD file converted to another format.
I try running a sis file on my 5730XM( for installing maps 3.01) downloaded from (official Nokia site): http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download?intc=ncomsup...
I try to install it with ovi suite. I run that file while Ovi suite is running and my phone connected with usb(phone is up to date and suite too), and after few steps it says, that my phone doesn't support sis files. Any ideas why this is caused?
Tried opening a pdf file while using Continuum but the pdf apps like Adobe Acrobat and Xodo aren't supported. Maybe I'm missing something...you would think a fundamental file format that has been around for 50 bazillion years would be supported.
I've installed an application from bb appl world, it contains audio files which to listen to. When I try to open the audio file it gives me the following error: IOException: java.io.IOException: HTTP response code: 302
Recently I encountered a problem when trying to take a pic/video. I have an 8 gig media card (as well as plenty of memory on the device) but when I take a pic it says: File System Out of Resources. It says the same thing when I try to save to device or media card.
