Eseries / Communicators :: File Deleted From File Manager?
Jul 4, 2011
By mistake I deleted a file from phone memory in the file manager. Is to important to have all the orgianal files in the file manager or do I reload the software. What do I do. i have a E 7.
I am using Nokia E7. I found this deature where in you can map a remore WEBDAV address drive to your Nokia File manager. I have accounts with skydrive, box, drivehq ets. I tried to map the WebDav address and provided the login details. The icon does show me the n/w drive. But when I connect, nothing happens. Can you help me? Is there a step by step document/guide which shows us how this can be done? The user manual provided with E7 does not have all these details!!
E75 I deleted a file Menu>office>file mgr.>nokia>download> some file (dont remember the name may be "download.")I but it was the file used to download any files in the phone. how can i recover this system file.
Using the stock File Manager app I can see audio files on my Maxx HD's internal storage and also on the SD card. I happen to be looking at ringtone files. If I tap on the filename to play the ringtone, Amazon Cloudplayer pops up and shows all the music files on my SD card. No ringtones can be found. If I back out of Amazon Cloudplayer and use the file manager to try finding and playing ANY audio file on EITHER my SD card or the internal storage I get sent to Amazon Cloudplayer. I then have to use the back button to get back to the file manager icon in the App drawer. Same thing happens if I try to play audio files on my SD card. Amazon Cloud Player pops up. I don't want to use Amazon Cloud Player to play an audio file in SD storage.
If I connect my phone to my PC and navigate to the ringtones on internal storage and click on them they play as per usual (Windows media player). If I use my PC to play audio files on the SD card they play as usual. Why does my phone default to Amazon Cloud Player when I tap on an audio file in File Manager? What is the stock audio file player on the Maxx HD? Why can't I browse to an audio file with the file manager and tap on it and have it play? How do I fix this?
Why is there no File no standardized file manager or explorer concept where you can manage your data on your Micro SD card. Select lots of files and move them into a folder. Rotate mulitple pictures and email mulitiple file easily? Why is this not standardized on all blackberrys
i am using nokia E5 . I have problem in the contact. I can save my contact. But if i again open to view the contact i will come's like "file corrupted".
I want to know, how can I locate the downloaded files from the internet(eg-PDFs, quick office etc.) in my E63.This is because after downloading a file I am unable to find it (in the phone memory or the card).
I'm using an E71 and I'm having a problem installing apps, every time I try installing apps is says "file corrupt" but I know that the file is not corrupt. It does this for 'sis' apps only.
I have E71,I used to see the foldersand files in my memory card using file manager, but due to some virus, i took backup of memory card formatted it. the backup folder on my desktop was subjected to virus removal, and then again i restored the clean files to my memory card. but now i can not see the folder in my meory card using nokia e71 file manager but can see the files and folders using Mass Storage mode. please hlep me in resolving this issue, as I extensively use email and need to send lot of mobile files as attachment to my customers any time any where .
I was not able to open password protected pdf attachment delivered via email to my E72 phone. When I try opening, it momentarily opens Adobe and then I see this message: "Unable to open password protected file". Is there no way to open such attachments in E72?
When I open an Excel file on my E7 it is to big shows only a few large boxes. I need to reduce the screen like in Word Doc. Where you can read an entire Doc on screen. How do I reduce the Excel File size on screen?
i am an e7 user. I was recently downloading a couple of videos at the same time when my phone hanged and had to be restarted. When it did restart, most of the files had to be redownloaded. All except one. The downloads list claims that the file has been saved. The video plays bt isnt completely downloaded. The problem now is that i cant delete the video through the file manager. The error msg says web:already in use.. When i tried deleting the file from the downloads list of the web browser, there was a similar msg.
I am delete Mail for exchange from my Nokia e5-00, but I need it's again where I can download that? I try [URL]but all version give error when install on ovi store write "Sorry, this item is not available for the Nokia E5-00."when I change model to e72, e71, e63 and other I get "not available"
I have a small AVI video file (3.5MB) converted to mobile format (output profile reading "Mobile Phone MPEG-4 Movie..mp4") using Any Video Converter. With a view to copying the file to my E71 phone, I connected the phone to PC (Dell Studio 1558 system running W7 HP) via the USB (using the PC Siute mode in the first attempt and then the Mass Storage mode in my next attempt). I then proceeded to open the video file's shortcut menu and, in the Send To destinations, hit my phone's link that was being displayed as the E71 icon. But PC Suite reported inability to "copy the file". In the case of Mass Storage option too, the result was similar. Strangely, in several instances of my effort PC Suite was even found reporting that the "device has stopped responding or disconnected from PC" even though Suite's Home Page was showing my phone's icon as being in sync. s shortcut menu and, in the Send To destinations, hit my phone
I have this phone and it's a good phone, but the WiFi is not working. I go to WLAN Wizard > Options > Refresh > Selecting a WiFi connection and when I type something or go to web feeds, bookmarks this error I get:"Web: Unable to execute the file for security reasons".
When in Contacts I try to go to options and a message comes up "File Corrupted" so cannot go into a contact to retrieve or edit. Same with Facebook App, when selected, try to enter and same message. Have reset to factory settings - no good. Have replaced sim card - no good.
I deleted the backup file while trying to update to 5.1.1. My phone wouldn't update and I read that I needed to delete the previous backup (bad idea). Well after I updated OS I can't backup to get my previous files and contacts. This is horrible and I am lost at this point on what to do. And I haven't been using iCloud.
When I open an image in file manager it does not open. An image viewer opens but does not display the image. Then I've to restart the phone to get rid of image viewer from open apps.
Need to occasionally refer to about 500 Microsoft Word documents and now that I have the Storm 2, is there a good app at the Crackberry store that can organize the document files for easy selection?
Presently using Documents to Go but if anyone can suggest another app on the Crackberry store that can do better, I would like to know. I don't need to edit, just need to be able to read the documents easily.
in my PC i found some error and i want to uninstall BlackBerry Device Manager 6.0, but i can because uninstallation need "BlackBerryDevice Manager_ENG.msi" (version 6).
I used to use ES file manager to manage my files on my xperia SP. Now I had xperia Z2, but I can't use ES file manager the way I used to. I mean : if I want to move for example a picture from my internal phone memory to the External SD card , message pops up telling that the task failed.
Then I press on Task Details and a Hint pops up saying: Your system forbidsES from writing on external SD card(check [URL] .....), so ES can only write on it after rooted. I tried to enter this url but couldn't, an error occured saying :
Your client does not have permission to get URL /p/android/issues/detail from this server.
after installing oi file manager on my phone, what will happen next, what do i have to expect and can i immediately access games downloaded from my pc and not from android market.
