Eseries / Communicators :: How To Set SMS Editor Language Permanently
Jun 16, 2011I use Nokia E52. Since some time I cannot write SMS messages, because strange letters appear in SMS editor. Options -> Text language show me that Cestina language ist set. This is the first from the choice. When I set any other language like English or my Polish press OK and return to the editor I can write one letter and after it the editor switches back to Cestina language. How can I set the proper language permanently ? Alternatively how to reset the E52 to the factory state completely?

Mar 3, 2011cannot edit photos using the inbuilt e5 photo editor this happened after i installed camera application? from ovi store i have removed this one however ven i open photos for editing and xselect apply effects nothing happens 2 shud i reinstall the phone software .... i want to avoid that coz it took hours to update the filmware from nokia server which is very slow also does anyone know a good mp3 player that can be installed on e5
i have read on net about symtorrent a torrent application for symbian devices ....is such a application safe

Jun 9, 2011How do you create an email folder on the E7? When I try to save a received email, the only folder offered is the Inbox and obviously there is no point in saving it where it is already. There seems to be no way to create another folder (for example, one called Archive). Or where to find the existing folders through the phone browser on a pc?

Jan 10, 2011I'm trying to copy all of my text message inbox (SMS messages) to my pc. I've tried to use Nokia PC Suite, but it only detects 66 messages but there is over 300 in my inbox!?I have tried to save the messages on the memory card, but it still only detects 66 messages Maybe someone know where on the memory card the messages are stored? I can't seem to find the right folder?

Eseries / Communicators :: E71 Updated To V510 - Battery Draining Fast When Connected To WiFi
Jun 20, 2011Since updating my E71 to v500, and then to v510 just recently, I have been suffering from terrible battery life when the phone is connected to a WiFi access point. I'm sure it's not a hardware problem, as I noticed it as soon as I first updated to v500. If I leave the E71 connected to WiFi, my battery will be flat in just a couple of hours and the phone is noticeably hot to the touch. I initially thought it may be the battery being a problem, so I bought a new one but still exactly the same.
On another point, the Podcasting application is now terribly slow. I wish I would have never updated from V300, which was fine. I've tried reinstalling the F/W a few times, and not restoring from a backup, but still the same problem. I also read in another thread that someone deleted the Lotus Notes application, and it fixed this problem, but alas, has not done so for me.

I tried to map the WebDav address and provided the login details. The icon does show me the n/w drive. But when I connect, nothing happens. Can you help me? Jul 3, 2011i am an e7 user. I was recently downloading a couple of videos at the same time when my phone hanged and had to be restarted. When it did restart, most of the files had to be redownloaded. All except one. The downloads list claims that the file has been saved. The video plays bt isnt completely downloaded.The problem now is that i cant delete the video through the file manager. The error msg says web:already in use.. When i tried deleting the file from the downloads list of the web browser, there was a similar msg.

Mar 9, 2012I have a small AVI video file (3.5MB) converted to mobile format (output profile reading "Mobile Phone MPEG-4 Movie..mp4") using Any Video Converter. With a view to copying the file to my E71 phone, I connected the phone to PC (Dell Studio 1558 system running W7 HP) via the USB (using the PC Siute mode in the first attempt and then the Mass Storage mode in my next attempt). I then proceeded to open the video file's shortcut menu and, in the Send To destinations, hit my phone's link that was being displayed as the E71 icon. But PC Suite reported inability to "copy the file". In the case of Mass Storage option too, the result was similar. Strangely, in several instances of my effort PC Suite was even found reporting that the "device has stopped responding or disconnected from PC" even though Suite's Home Page was showing my phone's icon as being in sync. s shortcut menu and, in the Send To destinations, hit my phone
