These are basic features that Microsoft forgot to implement because they were all busy with the Smartglass App that just came out and everyone was just super excited! I know that these apps are possible, some apps on marketplace have their own screenshot feature. On developer unlocked phones they can lock screen orientation.
I need a solution for showing the Artist Image of an Mp3 file on the lock screen!
I have previously succeeded with adding an artist image to an Mp3 file and transferring it to my Lumia 920. The image of the artist shows up in the Music+Videos section.
The problem now is when I go to Settings and Lock Screen options and choose to Show artist when playing music the artist image isn't showing up at locked screen! The screen turns in default grey color.
All my other live tiles:Exchange (main inbox)HotmailLinked Inbox (8 services, including other GMail accounts)SMSAre reporting new messages on the lock screen, but a live tile for another single GMail account is not. Any clue as to why that 's the case? I already tried removing and re-adding the account.

However, when I make/recieve a phone call, even when the volume is turned up to the max, it's still too low compared to my iPhone when paired with the same headset. Is this a problem or is it me being used to the iPhone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got Lumia 710 2 days ago, and upgraded it in Zune to the latest, and now I notice when I call from iphone 4s, it does not show the caller's number. However if I call from other cell phone or primus voip, it's fine.I have tried to swap the sim cards between Lumia 710 and iphone 4s, I still have the exact the same issue, so I am sure it's something to do with the phone not carrier.

I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 950 and there is no longer an option to Never show the lock screen. The only reason I want to temporarily disable the Lock screen is because Groove is so stupid that it only adds music to its library while the screen is on. If you have a large music collection it can take hours so it would be nice to just let it start at night and let it get it done rather than have to babysit it and touch the screen every 5 minutes. Obviosuly there is no standard way to turn off the lock screen.. I'm just hoping maybe there is an app out there or something that is capable of preventing it from coming on.

For example here it's -12 Celsius right now and it shoes that as 88. That's not what I want

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a Lumia 950, and I noticed the the lock screen swipe animation works differently than in WP 8.1. The whole image does not scroll, just the time, date, and notification icons.
Is this normal? Below is a picture of it mid-swipe. Neither the weather information (nor image) has moved, but the time, date and notification icons have.
I just received my N8 from repair and they changed the main chip for it with the newest software. Now it gives me black screen when calling / receiving calls. It also does this when clock has alert on.I can turn the screen on with the "unlocking slide" but this in general is extremely annoying and pointless. I was thinking to take it back to repair shop, but wanted to ask about this first here.

The themes are pretty good but I am facing a peculiar problem every time I download and install a theme. After sometime, whenever I unlock the screen, rather than The home screen popping up, The calling screen pops up i.e.. The screen which is displayed when I am on a call. The right and left selection keys show dialer and options respectively and the screen itself is blank instead of The home screen defaults and The widgets...I am facing this problem only with The downloaded themes and not the preinstalled nokia themes.Can someone please help me resolving this problem because its quite annoying?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running the latest Dev preview so I have Cyan. I had an event on my calendar for last night. It starting showing the day before, awesome, but today it won't go away. I even restarted the phone, no dice. Deleted yesterdays event from my calendar, still there.
Having issues with the lock screen and calendar events with Cyan? I did a hard reset after doing the Cyan update and I did not restore from a backup. Also my calendar item in question was one I put into my phones calendar and does not come from my sync'd email account calendar or anything.
I am new to windows phone although i have been watching it for a while now, and i am very excited and pleased with my new lumia 1020. one question i have is, is there any way to make artist cover art be your lock screen while music is playing? I can't seem to make this feature happen.
