consider releasing a Screen Orientation Lock and Screenshot App?
These are basic features that Microsoft forgot to implement because they were all busy with the Smartglass App that just came out and everyone was just super excited! I know that these apps are possible, some apps on marketplace have their own screenshot feature. On developer unlocked phones they can lock screen orientation.
Can I lock my Torch in Vertical Orientation? If so how?

I have previously succeeded with adding an artist image to an Mp3 file and transferring it to my Lumia 920. The image of the artist shows up in the Music+Videos section.
The problem now is when I go to Settings and Lock Screen options and choose to Show artist when playing music the artist image isn't showing up at locked screen! The screen turns in default grey color.
All my other live tiles:Exchange (main inbox)HotmailLinked Inbox (8 services, including other GMail accounts)SMSAre reporting new messages on the lock screen, but a live tile for another single GMail account is not. Any clue as to why that 's the case? I already tried removing and re-adding the account.

Because of this problem I cant turn my device off when i want, mute calls or lock it. I tried resetting my iPhone, every setting goes to default but my lock button keeps making screenshots. My lock button and my home button work perfectly its just the fact that the lock button doesnt perform his job, it screenshots as my home button is pressed but im not touching it at all. A hypotesis can be that my home button is actually pressed all the time but when i use it to exit apps, it works normally. Â

Have problems with the orientation the photos come out from the Lumia 1020? I would always hold the phone horizontal and use the camera button to take photos. Sometimes the photos come in one orientation and other times they need to be rotated 90 degrees. When viewing the photos in camera roll, holding the phone vertical again I get full screen photos and swipe left/right for next/prev. View 4 Replies View Relatedmy screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyhow, out of the box, whenever he opened something that could have a landscape orientation - web browser, menus, etc - the screen would automatically turn to that orientation and he would have to turn his phone to use it, ie, no matter how he held it, it would *always* change to landscape.Going into the display settings and turning off "Auto-rotate" screen keeps the screen in portait mode, but then lansdcape doesn't work at all.We did a power off and battery removal and now the phone always stays in portrait mode irresepective of what the display setting is set to.
The odd thing is, the NFS game that comes on it plays perfectly?!Just wondering if anyone has had this issue and managed to fix it without having to return the phone? (it came from Amazon, so it's not as simple as walking into a store and swapping it)
I have a Lumia 950 and there is no longer an option to Never show the lock screen. The only reason I want to temporarily disable the Lock screen is because Groove is so stupid that it only adds music to its library while the screen is on. If you have a large music collection it can take hours so it would be nice to just let it start at night and let it get it done rather than have to babysit it and touch the screen every 5 minutes. Obviosuly there is no standard way to turn off the lock screen.. I'm just hoping maybe there is an app out there or something that is capable of preventing it from coming on.

For example here it's -12 Celsius right now and it shoes that as 88. That's not what I want

Is this normal? Below is a picture of it mid-swipe. Neither the weather information (nor image) has moved, but the time, date and notification icons have.
I have purchased a x 10 mini pro couple of days ago.I have noticed that the screen orientation is not changing from portrait to landscape mode when i turn the mobile.it works when i slide out the keypad.this happened after the upgrade to 2.1. Currently when i use the HDMI cable the screen turns such that the cable goes in from the bottom which if the XOOM is on my lap is awkward. It would bebetter if the HDMI port was at the top.
When I bought my Icon, I noticed how there is no 'Never' option for when your screen times out. That option was on my 920 and it's a nice feature to have. Does 8.1 have the 'Never' time out option, or is it just the way it is on Icons, regardless of software version?
