Google Nexus 5 :: Menu Orientation Of Phone Changed To Vertical One With A Scroll Bar
Oct 24, 2015I have a Nexus 5, Lollipop 5.1.1. Build LMY48B. Today suddenly the Menu orientation of my phone changed to Vertical one with a scroll bar on right side and the "Search App" bar at the top.
Earlier it was a normal left-right swipe menu. Now it is a vertical up/down scrolling menu. I don't know how it changed. There was no software update or anything.And is there a setting to switch back to the original left/right swipe.

These are basic features that Microsoft forgot to implement because they were all busy with the Smartglass App that just came out and everyone was just super excited! I know that these apps are possible, some apps on marketplace have their own screenshot feature. On developer unlocked phones they can lock screen orientation.

Jun 1, 2011Anyhow, out of the box, whenever he opened something that could have a landscape orientation - web browser, menus, etc - the screen would automatically turn to that orientation and he would have to turn his phone to use it, ie, no matter how he held it, it would *always* change to landscape.Going into the display settings and turning off "Auto-rotate" screen keeps the screen in portait mode, but then lansdcape doesn't work at all.We did a power off and battery removal and now the phone always stays in portrait mode irresepective of what the display setting is set to.
The odd thing is, the NFS game that comes on it plays perfectly?!Just wondering if anyone has had this issue and managed to fix it without having to return the phone? (it came from Amazon, so it's not as simple as walking into a store and swapping it)

Aug 17, 2011I can't get the screen to lock when I press the button on the top of the phone. When pressed, the screen goes off but then half a second later it lights up again and is unlocked. I have acquired a pattern lock to save pressing buttons when the phone is in my pocket but the screen remains lit up and is consequently draining the battery. There isn't any damage to that corner of the phone so I doubt the button is the problem.

Dec 6, 2015New Android user here and new to the LG family. Finally settled on the G4 after comparing a few different Android phones. Got the phone home, let it charge, updated the phone, and set up all my accounts and apps. However, not 10 hours into owning the phone, I've now come across a problem - the whole left side of the screen (50% of the screen in vertical) randomly will freeze, making the phone look like it has had a stroke. Sometimes the freeze lasts for a few seconds, sometimes for several minutes, before it freezes on another screen. The weird thing is that the right side of the screen still works and acts as if nothing is wrong on the left. I plan on returning the phone tomorrow, but I'm seriously concerned as to whether this will happen again if I get another G4.

Apr 9, 2012My I phone 4 has 4 purple stripes taking up the whole of the screen. This has happened before ( around 2 weeks ago ). I tried powering down and resetting. The phone had plenty of charge on each occasion that this fault appeared. When it happened previously I left it at home for a week whilst I was away on holiday and when I returned the battery had completely discharged itself. I plugged in the charger and switched the phone on and the fault disappeared so I'm hoping the same happens again.

Sep 8, 2010For some reason my Torch will unlock by itself when placed in my case. The case was for a 9700 Bold and I tried at the ATT store with a pouch 'designed' for the Torch with the same results. The lock/unlock key is so sensitive that even in my pants pocket it will unlock.All of my old BB's would not unlock until I hit the 2 combo keys which was fine. At least the bold would stay locked in the pouch which was fine.
