i haven't dropped my phone for this to happen, the lines just appeared on my screen first going horizontal then vertical and they keep switching like that. i let it charge overnight and i restarted it but the lines remain.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone yesterday. I had just taken the cover off of it a day or two ago. (the cover is back on). Anyway, the phone seems to be stuck in vertical view. I can't switch to landscape/horizontal view. I have a game that you hold the phone vertically, and lean it left and right to move the character. The character now just zooms to the right, like I'm leaning the phone that way hard. I don't get it.
I have done the hard shut downs. I even installed the 4.0 software last night to see if that would resync my settings.
When I take a vertical photo and publishe it on Facebook, the photo is published horizontal. Also when I open the photo in a photo-app, it's horizontal.

The phone had plenty of charge on each occasion that this fault appeared. When it happened previously I left it at home for a week whilst I was away on holiday and when I returned the battery had completely discharged itself. I plugged in the charger and switched the phone on and the fault disappeared so I'm hoping the same happens again.

my iphone 5c fell in the toilet. When I got home, I put it in rice and left it on the charger. After about an hour it turned on. I looked up things online and it said to take the back off of my phone so I did, and my screen had a red line going through the middle. But my phone still worked perfectly fine, besides the fact that the screen had red around it. Now today, when I was walking through the halls my phone fell and when I picked it up my phone was black. It was working this morning before I went to school, so then I just left my phone alone all day at school hoping it would work once I got home and put it in rice and I was getting my notifications, and hearing sounds throughout the day.. SO right when I got home I dropped it in rice. I put it on the charger and it wont stop vibrating every 2 minutes. Also, I tried holding the home screen button and lock button no luck.

Got the phone home, let it charge, updated the phone, and set up all my accounts and apps. However, not 10 hours into owning the phone, I've now come across a problem - the whole left side of the screen (50% of the screen in vertical) randomly will freeze, making the phone look like it has had a stroke. Sometimes the freeze lasts for a few seconds, sometimes for several minutes, before it freezes on another screen. The weird thing is that the right side of the screen still works and acts as if nothing is wrong on the left. I plan on returning the phone tomorrow, but I'm seriously concerned as to whether this will happen again if I get another G4.

Last night I dropped my iPhone 3GS, and the screen was black and wouldn't respond to anything. I left it on the charger all night, and nothing happened still. I connected it to iTunes and it recognized the iPhone, but in protection mode. I tried restoring it, the screen turned white and it wouldn't restore. It says unknown error occured. Then after awhile the screen turns back to solid black.
