I dropped my phone yesterday. I had just taken the cover off of it a day or two ago. (the cover is back on). Anyway, the phone seems to be stuck in vertical view. I can't switch to landscape/horizontal view. I have a game that you hold the phone vertically, and lean it left and right to move the character. The character now just zooms to the right, like I'm leaning the phone that way hard. I don't get it.
I have done the hard shut downs. I even installed the 4.0 software last night to see if that would resync my settings.
i haven't dropped my phone for this to happen, the lines just appeared on my screen first going horizontal then vertical and they keep switching like that. i let it charge overnight and i restarted it but the lines remain.
My phone will no longer rotate when I turn it from vertical to horizontal. My keyboard stays vertical when I want it horizontal. Also, near the battery % there now shows a lock symbol where it never did before. Obviously, I somehow changed this setting.
i dropped my 4gs and cracked the screen at the top. now, the screen is black and whenever i press the sleep button, all i see is gray. what is wrong with it, and how do i fix it ? please help ):
When i dropped it, the screen went crazy and now I see a whole bunch of random colorful lines on the screen and I am unable to press anything. I want to restore the phone to factory settings, but when I connect to iTunes on my Mac, it is saying that I must enter the passcode, which I cannot do, because of the screen. It also says that I can't restore my iPhone because Find My iPhone is on. In order to turn it off I have to unlock my phone and turn it off through the phone but i can't!!
Whenever I seem to unlock the phone on the side, or whenever i switch it on vertical /horizontal coloured lines appear on screen. I have tried firmware updates but nothing is working. I've bought the phone second hand, and had it a while, and have no recipet for it..
I have a Nexus 5, Lollipop 5.1.1. Build LMY48B. Today suddenly the Menu orientation of my phone changed to Vertical one with a scroll bar on right side and the "Search App" bar at the top.
Earlier it was a normal left-right swipe menu. Now it is a vertical up/down scrolling menu. I don't know how it changed. There was no software update or anything. And is there a setting to switch back to the original left/right swipe.
I've read in the edge subforum, even my s6 flat has some problem when I try to view a photo in the gallery on landscape. It stuck in normal view. In other app (message, browser and others) it works fine? I've try wipe cache and wipe data gallery app but it still doesn't works.
My HTC One m9 got a full charge last night, but when I went to use it and looked into battery history it projects only four hours of battery life. This phone has been getting me more than one day on a full charge.
Just bought a nokia x3, had it for about a week not dropped it or anything, and when i try to turn on all i get is the white screen with nokia logo for about 3 seconds then it turns off and wont let me turn back on (as if battery is flat). When i try to charge it flashes a blank white screen 3 or 4 times (about 2 seconds a time) then goes blank? It does not charge at all.
About a week ago my bb was dropped into a cup of tea (which had sugar and milk in) and I quickly took out the battery and stuck it in a bowl of uncooked rice for a few days. It was working about 2 days ago, except the keyboard was sticky so I turned it off and got some isopropyl alcohol cleaner and followed some instructions on how to open it all up and clean it which I did.
Before I cleaned it, I turned it on and the loading screen came up, only it gets to about 5 or 10 percent then restarts itself which it then proceeds to do over and over. I have looked into this problem and it seems I need to reinstall the os, even though it wont stay on long enough to connect through usb? Is there anything else you guys think I should do? I have read somewhere to dip the whole phone into the alcohol then leave for a few days to dry?
I haven't dropped my phone. Just got it a month ago. I turned it on this morning and my screen was really messed up. You can see pictures of my screen attached with this post. I bought it from Asia when I was on vacation and brought it back to Canada with me. It is not covered under warranty in Canada. I've tried calling SE Canada and the repair facility and they refuse to fix it even though I told them I'm willing to pay for any charges. I know it's covered under warranty in Asia and I'm willing to ship it there to get it fixed but only as a LAST RESORT. Is there anyway I can fix it? Also, does anyone know if it's a software issue or a hardware?
Just bought the lumia 1520 , and im watching the battery life of this phone , it dropped from 100 % to 90 % in 5 hours standby !!! Without touching the phone
I recently dropped my Nokia Lumia 1520, and the top left of the screen is cracked pretty bad, but usually that doesn't stop a phone from working.. When I dropped it the screen froze for about 5 seconds, then randomly shut off.. This is the only phone I have, and insurance is still $200 to replace, and I wouldn't have that for a couple months. I was wondering if there was a way to somehow power it on?
I believe the battery still works, because sometimes when I try to turn it on, the flash blinks, and it gets hot if I leave it on the charger. It doesn't respond when I plug it into the pc, so I doubt it's the display not working...
Dropped my two week old Nexus 5 on the ground... if you look at it, everything looks fine. Apps work, wi-fi works BUT I can no longer pick up a mobile network. It just shows a black signal (black triangle where the signal bars would be). I try to go into Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators to Search Networks or Choose automatically and it just searches but can't find anything. I can't figure it out. Everything seems to be OK but I can't get a mobile network. I took it to a cell repair place but they couldn't figure it out after opening it up.
I just got the S6 Edge for my wife wednesday night. Today she is informing me that she is having multiple dropped calls with the phone. IWe are on Sprint and have never had dropped call issues before.
So the title says it all. I dropped my phone, after which just get LTE,. If I toggle to 3g/2g, it says No Service. I replaced my simcard from tMobile, still no luck.
How do I know what has broken? Will flashing stock Radio only work? Do i need to take a backup of something before flashing radio?
I am currently running 4.4.4 stock with root and xPosed framework. Phone was purchased on its launch, so, its not under warranty anymore...
After recently buying a new Milestone outright I'm looking to protect the hell out of it. I currently have purchased a hard case for the phone itself (seidio innocase) as well as a screen protector. Now the next thing that I am looking for is a good Vertical case/pouch.The thing is that it must be vertical and it must be open at the top (I don't want a cover at all.I want to be able to slide the phone in and out easily). I also must have a belt clip on it.I have found a few online, but for what reviews that I have read stated that they are hard to get the phone in and out of when the phone is naked (no case on it). Since I am planning to have the phone in a hard case at all times that particular case will not work for me. I have seen the pDair case and it looks good, but $28 USD plus shipping (to Canada) I want to make sure that the phone (in a hard case) will fit in it. I havn’t found any reviews on it as of yet either.I know that the iphone & Nexus One are about the same size as the Milestone and wonder if anyone has tried any of those cases with success? As I am sure (especially for the iphone) that there is a wider selection of cases available.
I am new to BB and have had the Torch for 2 weeks.Today, while on the phone, my call has been interrupted by an update. The call is dropped and the phone shuts off to complete an update. Is this normal? Do I need to change some of the options?
last week, I went to the beach with my friends and unfortunately, my dear phone was dropped in the water T.T. I tried to take the battery out immediately. 2 days later, I put the battery back, it seems to work well EXCEPT the middle / main button T.T. I tried to hit that button hard but it's not working.
I was just lying in my bed playing a game on my phone when all of the sudden my phone appeared to have these weird looking lines on it. I did absolutely nothing in order to have these appear. I tried to restart my phone but it only made it worse. I cant do anything but it keeps making noises when I get notifications and stuff like that still.
I have purchased a brand new iphone 4s of 16 gb and when i just took out of the packed box and switched on , it had black and whitevertical lines on the display.
Sometimes lines are light and sometimes dark , depending upon the background.
I Have a brand new iPhone with current update. I am not able to turn my phone horizontal and have the picture rotate with the phone. I understand this is a setting lock but how do I fix it with this version. I had a 4s model and it had the same issue that I never resolved. Can this be fixed stil?
it's been happening to me a bit recently, eventually the vertical stripes go away but for now they've been coming on. if i take a photo that looks like it has vertical stripes, it doesnt come out when the photograph is taken. Anybody else? is this just a flaw with 4.0, 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 or is something hardware related?
Either way, using my phone unlocked in Austria so it will have to wait before I replace it if it's hardware. Just curious though, don't remember this happening before.
My I phone 4 has 4 purple stripes taking up the whole of the screen. This has happened before ( around 2 weeks ago ). I tried powering down and resetting. The phone had plenty of charge on each occasion that this fault appeared. When it happened previously I left it at home for a week whilst I was away on holiday and when I returned the battery had completely discharged itself. I plugged in the charger and switched the phone on and the fault disappeared so I'm hoping the same happens again.
