View 1 RepliesI got a Nokia Lumia 800 that keeps on rebooting I tried soft and hard reset and i have have updated into the latest OS
View 1 RepliesActually, I never experienced ANY problems w/ my Lumia 920 before the update.
I installed the latest update a day ago, and now my phone has rebooted twice on its own today.
For all you EE customers out there here is what I did and how I got it working on 2G and 3G but not 4G.
1. Get a phone that can take your 3G SIM. I found my Nokia Lumia 800 for carphone warehouse worked.
2. Put your SIM in and let it register 2G.
3. On your 920 with no SIM in, go to Settings -> mobile network and TURN DATA OFF
4. Get your now registered SIM from your old/other phone and put it in your 920 and boot it up.
5. The phone should now boot and not crash.
6. Go to Setings -> Mobile Network and change "Highest Connection Speed" to 3G and then turn the "data connection" back on.
7. Life should be pretty good now (unless you live in a 4G area).
After I press the on/off button or after the screen times out, I've noticed that after some amount of time the phone will have turned back on by itself. I then noticed that it was actually rebooting. I think it may have started doing this after I installed the VLCPlayer app.

View 6 Replies View RelatedJust today (16 days after I received my Lumia 1520), my phone now reboots/restarts continuously. I've tried the soft reset but no luck. I have not tried the hard reset - yet. I search online and this appears to have occurred on other Lumia devices and as far as I can tell, there is not fix for this.
View 24 Replies View RelatedDevice getting hot when charging? or randomly rebooting? I have done power downs, reboots, I am now trying a full phone reset to see if that fixes the issue.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI am an owner of a Nokia Lumia 1020 running on Cyan software update. Unfortunately, I've been facing many problems with a phone I loved, one of them is that whenever I reboot my phone the date and time are resetted. The phone starts with a different time and different date, and I have to organize them correctly again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhile I love the Hardware , Windows 8.1 and apps still make using the 1520 problematical, I've had it for about 9 months but will probably go back to IOS or Android when I hit my upgradability, about 4 times yesterday when I was at an event where I need to take pictures the phone using kept rebooting on me, it may have been the cold it was about 32 degrees, but it really makes it difficult to use the phone in meaningful ways when apps and the OS do not behave, and it's little things like the phone freezing, rebooting or becoming unstable that make it hard to stay with the 1520 no matter how much I love the HW.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust started doing this like 2 days ago while I was in the middle of updates.
I'm already expecting that someone will tell me to restore, but I'd rather actually fix it. Is there even any way to find out why this is happening?
I bought a used Lumia 1520 from Amazon a few days ago...been using WP8.1, no problems, so I went ahead and installed the latest Windows 10 Mobile preview last night.
Everything worked fine for about 6 hours, and then the phone started going into endless rebooting loops. About 3 hours ago, it finally booted up, and there was a message on the screen that said "This phone has been locked for security reasons. Please connect to a power source for 2 hours and try restarting".
So I've had it plugged in for the last 3 hours, and now it refuses to boot up at all. When I do the soft reset button combo, the phone vibrates like it's restarting, but then...nothing.
So, I guess I've got two questions:
1. Did Windows 10 Mobile brick my phone, or is it more likely that there was something wrong with the phone from the get go?
2. What additional things I might try for recovery? I have downloaded the Windows Phone Recovery Tool, but without the device powering on, it's basically bupkis.
i tried to update my curve but now it keeps rebooting and then saying linking java and the rebooting again. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop software but i cant because it keeps rebooting.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my phone in April - a few tiny problems, such as frozen screens etc, but I turned a blind eye to it, hoping they're one offs! And then today - well, the phone basically is turnin itself on and off all day, going in a cycle - and what is so weird is like there is a ghost in the system, because it is bringing up the profiles screen and selecting profiles too Unfortunately, cannot even keep phone on long enough to carry out a master reset - have done he battery, SIM out for an hour etc Short of throwing this out the window, does anyone know what the solution is, or has anyone ever experienced these issues themselves?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just attempted to update my E72 to the latest firmware using the OTA feature. In fact I made the upgrade via my WIFI connection. The downlod succeeded, then the E72 updated the firmware and rebooted. The problem is that my E72 isn't rebooting at all. After it switched off (for the reboot cycle) it could not start anymore. When I'm powering it on, the display shows some background activities, then there is a line and finally it switches off.It seems that the firmware update broke the OS. Has anyone encountered a similar behavior ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've read through many posts on this forum of users reporting that their phone keeps rebooting after an update and although mine keeps rebooting, it's not because of an update.I've been happily using my N900 since 11 Jan 2010 and have been applying updates as they've come. The last time I manually checked for an update was on 24 March 2010. On my way in to work this morning (31 March 2010, with a full battery) my phone started its rebooting fits. To be clear, when I say it reboots I mean the dashboard comes up (wallpaper + widgets and all), as if the phone loads fully, and I can slide to the other 3 dashboards for about 10 seconds, but then it all just suddenly reboots. On my Fedora 12 i686 PC I downloaded and flashed the RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin firmware which went successfully by following the guide at https://wiki.maemo.org/ Updating_the_tablet _firmware. The phone booted up and the screen came up asking for my region and country and all that jazz, I was able to input those details in OK and the home screen came up with the default wallpaper and widgets and stuff.. and then it starts it reboot fits again. I live in Melbourne, Australia and purchased the phone from Amazon.com and sent it via the forwarding service myus.com. I use the phone on the Optus network. Is there anything else I can try on the phone to bring it out of its rebooting fits? Or should I return it to Amazon.com... and if so, how can I do that being that I'm in Australia and "cheated the rules" bringing it out of the USA?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just obtained a 6700 slide, and it seems to be rebooting all the time. Example: launch the browser, close it, run the camera, take a picture, delete it, and hop, it reboots. The firmware update software does not offer an upgrade, and the formatting of the device does not change anything (*#7370#)Is that a known issue, or can it be my device that has a problem ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy N82 randomly decided to keep rebooting. After loading the standby screen the phone resets itselft after about 3 seconds. I have a new phone (E72) as the N82 was in pretty bad condition anyway but I need to recover my contacts (preferably messages as well).I have tried taking the memory card out, taking the battery out etc.
Is there a safe mode for the N82? I suspect the problem is caused by one of the programs loading automatically when the phone starts up.
Iv been using this phone for like 2 years and its working allright but since today i tried installing NetQin mobile guard on my phone but my phone got stuck and rebooted itself, after that it kept on turning on and rebooting itself.
i tried every method, hard reset, soft reset, taking out the sim card and memory then turning it on but no use! somthing must have gone wrong with the firmware but i cannot reinstall it because when ever i connect my phone with my pc and nokia pc suite, the phone doesnt stop rebooting so everytime the connection also fails.i dont understand that what should i do with my phone,i cannot find any solution to it.
I recently bought a Nokia 5230 on T-Mobile and I'm experiencing problems with it freezing and rebooting several times a day.
I have checked to make sure I have the latest software version. I also ensure that I do not have lots of applications open at the same time. There is no particular function that makes the phone do this, ii even does it by itself when I'm not even using it.
Someone told me this was due to T-Mobile putting their own software but is there anything else that could be causing this?
I've had my Nokia x6 for a while now and lately it's really starting to act up. Every now and then it just reboots itself. The menu (that appears when you press the on/off button) pops up real quick and automatically chooses the "turn off"-option. This happens more than 10 times a day. But it won't shut down if the lock button is activated, the display just lights up (which is REALLY annoying too). I've tried to do a soft reset and a hard reset (although the hard reset didn't delete my songs) and the problem persists! Should I try to format the the discs (or whatever they're called) or is this undoubtedly a problem that needs to be solved by my local Nokia Care Center?
View 6 Replies View Relatedso I put in it almost 600 photos leaving them on my microsd sandisk (32Gb). They are stored in folders but when I open the gallery I see that they are all together. I can create albums and reorganize the whole stuff...Done! But now...surprise! After rebooting albums are still there but they are empty. I upgraded N8 with Anna (last version from nokia suite of 31/12/2012) and I think the problem is related to this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently purchased a Nokia E72 phone for business use and after about three days of trouble-free operation it has suddenly run out of space on the phone system drive C:. This is very surprising as I am not aware of installing any apps or generating any content on C: since the last time I verified the available space exceeding 120 MB.I keep on getting a message "Memory full. Delete or move some data from C: Phone memory.", am unable to enter the menu and the phone keeps on rebooting.I've read a couple of posts from others experiencing this problem on various places on the Internet but no signs of a solution.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've got a Nokia E6-00. Sending messages and calling works fine. Receiving messages is a problem. When I ask someone to send me a text message, it doesn't come in either until I reboot my phone or until I open "sim messages". I've removed F-secure, rebooted several times and tried other sim cards from other providers. The problem is always present, regardless of simcard, provider or message length. I have enough memory left on the phone and the sim card.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've done a search and read some previous posts, and cannot work out why my N900 is randomly rebooting.I have manually restarted my phone and checked the boot count is reset to 0
I have attempted doing a nokia software updater firmware update and it confirms i'm on the latest firmware (10.2010.19.1) and i've used the app updater and updated all apps. It has happened before i enabled the extras-devel repository, so I doubt the fault lies there.
Since i restarted the device prior to running "cat /proc/bootreason" i can't find out the reason why it rebooted, but i will update this post as soon as it does it again.
I recieved this phone from Optus Australia, and is running a number of apps from both the ovi store and the app manager. The only apps i have installed from the extras-devel repository are unrar and unzip apps, although i did note that it updated a few other apps at the same time, like flashlight.
Since I can't reboot with memory card, my main screen is completely wrong, I can't see my four shortcut icons (I can see only hover icon), green (last calls) and red buttons doesn't work, two bottom icons (num keyboard and contacts) doesn't work too. So if I want to insert hard reset code, I canīt. Restart without memory card and SIM card, shut down-power up and restore factory settings canīt solve my problem.
View 7 Replies View RelatedCant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.
