I got my phone in April - a few tiny problems, such as frozen screens etc, but I turned a blind eye to it, hoping they're one offs! And then today - well, the phone basically is turnin itself on and off all day, going in a cycle - and what is so weird is like there is a ghost in the system, because it is bringing up the profiles screen and selecting profiles too Unfortunately, cannot even keep phone on long enough to carry out a master reset - have done he battery, SIM out for an hour etc Short of throwing this out the window, does anyone know what the solution is, or has anyone ever experienced these issues themselves?
Yesterday i installed an app from Dictionary.com called Dictionary. i already had it installed but wanted to perform an update cause u cannot copy and paste the corectly spelled word directly into wherever u originally mispelled it. Anyway i performed an update, Bold asked me to reboot, now the phone boots half way, then restarts.over and over and over and over. Im back down to my Pearl. Is there any way to salvage this situation without me having to erase and reinstall everything from scratch? Is there a"safe mode" i can boot into on the phone and manually remove the app cause i have a feeling thats what's causing the reboots.
I was just using my nokia lumia 800 normally and then it suddenly shut off. I've tried everything to get it working, soft reset, hard reset, taking the sim out, letting the battery go flat then plugging it in, but nothing worked. This has happened once before but it turned back on after 5 mins. It has been 2 days now and it is stil continually vibrating. What should I do?
i tried to update my curve but now it keeps rebooting and then saying linking java and the rebooting again. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop software but i cant because it keeps rebooting.
I have an issue with my Blackberry Bold. My son sent me a video that he make on his phone and once I clicked on it, it started continually turning off and back on by itself. I tried to go back and delete the video, but I get a message that it is currently running.
My bb bold keeps continually reloading and closing down and has been doing this for the last 4 hours. I have tried taking out the battery but this makes no difference.
I was asked to update ID verification, via screen message, ok'ed, required reboot as per normal screen, now the system continually reboots but will not start, went to Rim site and completed suggested process aka removing battery sim card and memory card
I was half way through writing a text message the other night and my screen had what could only be reffered to as a brown screen of death. I force restarted the phone and the Sony logo would start up before it went straight to a black screen. I could tell there was a back light behind it though. Eventually after turning it off and on about four times it started normally and I didn't have any further problems... for 24hrs.  When my alarm went off this morning I had the same screen of death and was only able to turn off my alarm by force restarting my phone. Now when i restart my phone I can usually get it to turn all the way on but then it randomly 'blanks out' after a few seconds. When this happens I can continually press the power button to get me back to my lock screen. Sometimes the screen will stay active long enough for me to unlock the phone, occassionally long enough to even read or write a message, but always, whether it be after 1 second or 20, it eventually blanks out where I can eventually start from the unlock screen after continually pressing the power button.  In a word, it's infuriating. I have already had to deal with two broken screens with this phone (both whilst just sitting in my pocket) that have cost about $350 each to fix and now this. I am definitely never going to buy Sony again however I need this phone to last until the end of my contract.
So, I've had this phone for almost 3 months now. I'm barely able to text one of the few people that I talk to. Most of the time, they do not receive my texts until a week later, sometimes longer. I used to have the galaxy s5 with sprint and this happened with them too. I now have t-mobile and i have talked to them several times about this. After a lot of persistence, they put in a trouble ticket for me and that corrected it for about a week, then it started up again. Now they closed it and are telling me that it could be sprint's fault. I don't know what could be. I know that at one point I was accidentally blocked by the person, but it seemed to start after I ported my number over to a new carrier. I just want an end to this. I'm tired of contacting t-mobile every week.
I recently bought the Galaxy S2 and slowly getting to grips with everything. But I'm having an issue when it comes to receiving incoming calls. The phone always reads out the contacts name out loud, I've already deselected driving mode but it still keeps reading out all incoming calls which is really annoying.
I'm on the Three network in the UK and upgraded to ICS yesterday. Since then the S2 continually crashes and restarts every few minutes. I took a backup before I upgraded although I didn't backup my photos. Because of the constant crashing I can't use the phone long enough to do much of anything. When I try and run apps, like Google Play the S2 becomes unresponsive. Not sure if my problems are caused by an app, but at one point I did manage to get a list of all the apps that were running:
My iphone 4 turned itself off after someone called me and has been continually vibrating for the past 3 hours and hasnt turned on ive tried holding the home button and off switch but nothings working, what do i do?
I've just had my iPhone 4 replaced by Apple, as the sleep/wake button was continually becoming stuck in a rigid position.Â
Unfortunately, after the phone was replaced (and the data on the old handset deleted), I realised that - for some reason - my iCloud contacts were not up-to-date (I reckon I'm about 100 short). I'm missing key contacts from my phonebook.Â
However, when writing a text message on the new handset, I can click on the "To" field and start typing the name of contacts who were in the phonebook on my last handset (but not in the phonebook on the new one) and their name appears.Â
For example, the contact "Louise Thomson" is not in the Contacts app on the new handset, but was in there on the old one. However, when I start typing "Louise Thomson" into the "To" field of a text message, her contact details bizarrely appear, and I can send her a text.Â
Firstly, why is this happening? How are the details making their way onto the new handset, if they are not updated on iCloud? And, why are they not appearing in phonebook?Â
Secondly, and more importantly, how I can add all the contacts (IE the ones available to text) with a single click?Â
This week I have been having problems with the above phone, when I try to charge (using the charger supplied with the phone) it is fine for about 1 hour then I get a messgae that their is a charging error. I have checked my phone has the most up to date software, and tried phone repair using PC suite, which also fails. Am currently only able to charge via USB, which takes ages. Have only had the phone for a year - and still have 6 months to go on my contract.
My nokia N8 keeps rebooting over and over again unless used in offline mode or without a sim card....I have tried replacing the sim card, but it still keeps rebooting...it's frustrating..
I've just attempted to update my E72 to the latest firmware using the OTA feature. In fact I made the upgrade via my WIFI connection. The downlod succeeded, then the E72 updated the firmware and rebooted. The problem is that my E72 isn't rebooting at all. After it switched off (for the reboot cycle) it could not start anymore. When I'm powering it on, the display shows some background activities, then there is a line and finally it switches off.It seems that the firmware update broke the OS. Has anyone encountered a similar behavior ?
I've read through many posts on this forum of users reporting that their phone keeps rebooting after an update and although mine keeps rebooting, it's not because of an update.I've been happily using my N900 since 11 Jan 2010 and have been applying updates as they've come. The last time I manually checked for an update was on 24 March 2010. On my way in to work this morning (31 March 2010, with a full battery) my phone started its rebooting fits. To be clear, when I say it reboots I mean the dashboard comes up (wallpaper + widgets and all), as if the phone loads fully, and I can slide to the other 3 dashboards for about 10 seconds, but then it all just suddenly reboots. On my Fedora 12 i686 PC I downloaded and flashed the RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin firmware which went successfully by following the guide at https://wiki.maemo.org/ Updating_the_tablet _firmware. The phone booted up and the screen came up asking for my region and country and all that jazz, I was able to input those details in OK and the home screen came up with the default wallpaper and widgets and stuff.. and then it starts it reboot fits again. I live in Melbourne, Australia and purchased the phone from Amazon.com and sent it via the forwarding service myus.com. I use the phone on the Optus network. Is there anything else I can try on the phone to bring it out of its rebooting fits? Or should I return it to Amazon.com... and if so, how can I do that being that I'm in Australia and "cheated the rules" bringing it out of the USA?
I just obtained a 6700 slide, and it seems to be rebooting all the time. Example: launch the browser, close it, run the camera, take a picture, delete it, and hop, it reboots. The firmware update software does not offer an upgrade, and the formatting of the device does not change anything (*#7370#)Is that a known issue, or can it be my device that has a problem ?
My N82 randomly decided to keep rebooting. After loading the standby screen the phone resets itselft after about 3 seconds. I have a new phone (E72) as the N82 was in pretty bad condition anyway but I need to recover my contacts (preferably messages as well).I have tried taking the memory card out, taking the battery out etc.
Is there a safe mode for the N82? I suspect the problem is caused by one of the programs loading automatically when the phone starts up.
Iv been using this phone for like 2 years and its working allright but since today i tried installing NetQin mobile guard on my phone but my phone got stuck and rebooted itself, after that it kept on turning on and rebooting itself. i tried every method, hard reset, soft reset, taking out the sim card and memory then turning it on but no use! somthing must have gone wrong with the firmware but i cannot reinstall it because when ever i connect my phone with my pc and nokia pc suite, the phone doesnt stop rebooting so everytime the connection also fails.i dont understand that what should i do with my phone,i cannot find any solution to it.
