IPhone :: 4 Had 30% Battery Then 10mins Later Dead Flat
Jun 20, 2012My mums iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1 had 30% battery left this morning then 10mins later I tried calling her and it rang out and went to voicemail.. 5mins later she noticed phone was unresponsive and had a black screen and pressing buttons wouldn't do anything oh and she didn't feel the phone vibrate or ring when i was calling... so after pressing both unlock circle and top button and putting on charge it appeared the phone had lost all battery power.
So the phone went from 30% to 0% in a matter of 15mins? We think the phone may still be under apple 1yr warrant but not sure. But any else experienced this issue and is there any I can do or should it be taken back to apple to look at?

Sep 11, 2010I'd really like to be able to watch movies in my dorm, and I just got a new Vizio TV from walmart. If I have the netflix app on my iphone, how would I go about connecting the iphone to the TV, to take advantage of the unlimited movies? What exactly do I need to buy, and would the output be high quality and worth it?
Oh, and I'm not considering doing it through my computer because my internet usage is somewhat monitored,and my university will bill me if I go over. I have 5 bars anyways so it's not that big of a deal.

Jun 30, 2014I've just had my iPhone 4 replaced by Apple, as the sleep/wake button was continually becoming stuck in a rigid position.Â
Unfortunately, after the phone was replaced (and the data on the old handset deleted), I realised that - for some reason - my iCloud contacts were not up-to-date (I reckon I'm about 100 short). I'm missing key contacts from my phonebook.Â
However, when writing a text message on the new handset, I can click on the "To" field and start typing the name of contacts who were in the phonebook on my last handset (but not in the phonebook on the new one) and their name appears.Â
For example, the contact "Louise Thomson" is not in the Contacts app on the new handset, but was in there on the old one. However, when I start typing "Louise Thomson" into the "To" field of a text message, her contact details bizarrely appear, and I can send her a text.Â
Firstly, why is this happening? How are the details making their way onto the new handset, if they are not updated on iCloud? And, why are they not appearing in phonebook?Â
Secondly, and more importantly, how I can add all the contacts (IE the ones available to text) with a single click?Â

Sep 20, 2010When I try to charge it using my PC's USB port, the PC will try and identify it as a flash drive, but it will then bomb out - this is an endless cycle (the sound Windows makes when adding USB Flash drive and then removing it). Using different USB ports has the same result. I am not sure whether charging occurs, but after 10min or so I am still unable to switch the phone on.So I went to the device manager and I can see it reloading each time the N97 tries to register as a USB device. Then I went and looked at which port the N97 is connected to (open each USB root hub and look at the Power tab - ie refresh each time the new device found sound is played from Windows - the USB hub that will be connected to the phone will be indicated by "nokia usb flashing parent"). By disabling the applicable hub, the phone actually showed the Nokia logo on a white screen with the battery life indicator (non charging)when I then re-enabled the USB Root Hub, the display remained on the phone and it started charging.Without disabling the hub the phone would just continue to endlessly find and then discard the "flash drive".I was using Windows XP SP3.Nokia OVIsuite 2.2.0.241 I did manually terminate any Nokia processes prior to disabling the USB Root Hub (not sure how many tried to rerun again)finally it is charging again. Wasn't too keen on what happened, because I don't carry the charger with me when traveling abroad.

Mar 31, 2010I have a BB Torch, which I bought new about a month ago. It works fine except that the battery has now started running out quickly (after about 16hrs from a full charge) , even when the phone is switched off overnight.
I have removed two new apps that I thought might be the problem (Add Contact and Data monitor app), but it has not really made any difference. I have since followed the advice on this Forum to dim the screen and reduce the timeout.

Apr 23, 2015I was half way through writing a text message the other night and my screen had what could only be reffered to as a brown screen of death. I force restarted the phone and the Sony logo would start up before it went straight to a black screen. I could tell there was a back light behind it though. Eventually after turning it off and on about four times it started normally and I didn't have any further problems... for 24hrs.

When my alarm went off this morning I had the same screen of death and was only able to turn off my alarm by force restarting my phone. Now when i restart my phone I can usually get it to turn all the way on but then it randomly 'blanks out' after a few seconds. When this happens I can continually press the power button to get me back to my lock screen. Sometimes the screen will stay active long enough for me to unlock the phone, occassionally long enough to even read or write a message, but always, whether it be after 1 second or 20, it eventually blanks out where I can eventually start from the unlock screen after continually pressing the power button.

In a word, it's infuriating. I have already had to deal with two broken screens with this phone (both whilst just sitting in my pocket) that have cost about $350 each to fix and now this. I am definitely never going to buy Sony again however I need this phone to last until the end of my contract.
Galaxy S6 :: Why Do Continually Not Receive Texts From One Person
Jul 19, 2015So, I've had this phone for almost 3 months now. I'm barely able to text one of the few people that I talk to. Most of the time, they do not receive my texts until a week later, sometimes longer. I used to have the galaxy s5 with sprint and this happened with them too. I now have t-mobile and i have talked to them several times about this. After a lot of persistence, they put in a trouble ticket for me and that corrected it for about a week, then it started up again. Now they closed it and are telling me that it could be sprint's fault. I don't know what could be. I know that at one point I was accidentally blocked by the person, but it seemed to start after I ported my number over to a new carrier. I just want an end to this. I'm tired of contacting t-mobile every week.
