sometimes i started a game buy using xbox live it is so difficult to close when i press the back button (to close the game/apps)it straight pop out the multitasking screen (which should only appear only when holding the Back button) and i choose the app i wish to close agianbut same thing happensometime even worst when i only open one game/appit cannot be close and cannot go back to home screenbecause when i press the Home button (when the game/apps running) the window Tellme pop out ........
Nokia :: How To Terminate / Cancel / Abort / Kill Application
Jan 29, 2010I have withnessed applications in loops and did not find any other means to terminate them than to re-power the handset.The last time I was listening to a wma -music file loaded from the coms-with-music library when the player checked (and checked and checked) for the rights to use the music. It just kept playing but the checking never ended and locked the player. I'm sure that there must be some trick to terminate such an application without having to shutdown the phone.

Apr 18, 2012SInce the latest update 12070, if my phone is plugged into the mains charging when the power / wake up button is pressed, the touch screen is notally non responsive, and you cannot use the phone. If however, you reove the mains lead BEFORE pressing the power/wakeup button, everything works fine.Rolled back to previous update, everything worked fine - mains power or not, put the update back on, and the problem returned!

Dec 16, 2015Not sure if I have a hardware or software issue. I just updated my 1520 to Windows 10 (build 10586.29).
The touch screen will randomly stop working. I'll be trying to scroll, open an app, etc. Nothing. I have to reboot the entire phone. I also get random ghost touch issues.
None of this was happening on Windows 8.1. However, I have only had the phone for two days. Used 8.1 for one day and have been using 10 today. That is why I am unsure if this is an OS issue or a hardware defect.

Jan 29, 2014Got my phone two days back, and I've realized the back button isn't always responsive. Sometimes I feel like its maybe due to the fact I have another finger on screen, but then even when I remove the finger it may not work. After a few taps it comes back to life. Is it a known issue with Lumia/WP8 devices? I did a Google search but that turned up nothing!

Plugged it in via USB to try and do a Windows Phone recovery and the computer isn't even recognizing it. Aug 27, 2014There is a lag when trying to wake the phone up. I will press the power button and it will take almost 4 seconds for the phone to wake up. This doesn't happen often, but often enough that I have to do a soft reset several times to correct the problem. Even then, it's still not 100% responsive. Nov 27, 2012basically what happened was she setup a new live account at the AT&T store on the phone, and accidently did a birthday of 10/16/2012 not 10/16/1980 so the phone automatically went into My Family mode and won't allow any apps to be downloaded. We've tried to log in to live.com and change the birthdate but it wont let you. We've called AT&T who then called Nokia, but nobody knows. Basically it's giving an error of "My Family setup needed - my family must be setup before you can buy this item. Ask your parent to setup My Family settings on windowsphone.com" when you download an app.

Sep 28, 2014Yesterday I did the most recent developers update on my ATT Nokia Lumia 1020. I have had absolutely zero problems with the phone at all since day one. Today while checking emails my phone screen flickered and then went to something that appears to be the "snow" that you see on televisions when they had no signal. In the "snow" there are 4 lighter bars and 4 darker ones running vertically.
I also am unable to do a hard reset or soft reset.
I found others who have the same screen issue, but they have been able to fix it with either a soft or hard reset. I unfortunately cannot do that, as the buttons seem to have also become unresponsive. After about 2 minutes the screen will go black, and then after about 2 seconds come back on by itself with the same issue present.

Nov 22, 2015I am having an issue with the 950s screen responsiveness and hoping a few other ow red could confirm if they are also so I know if it's a bad screen or something else.
When the phone is laying flat on a hard surface the screen is completely unresponsive. As soon as a pick it up everything is fine.
The other issue is in regards to the keyboard which seems to be hit or miss on recognizing input near the edges of the screen.
I suspect it could be the tempered glass screen protector but I don't want to remove it if others have the issue if there is a known software issue.

I will be traveling to Canada where I will have a voice and txt mssg plan, but I don't want to use data. When I de-select Background Data, it warns me that some apps still may use data!As far as I can tell, de-selecting Data Enabled and Background data should prevent any data transmission, but still allow for voice and txt. Am I understanding that correctly?

Motorola Photon 4G :: Kill Music App Background Process?
Dec 1, 2011Whenever I take a look at my battery usage on my Photon, I always see Music and Media rather high in the list. In fact when I checked just now Media was at 12% and Music was at 11%, 3rd and 4th in the list. (The phone's only been on for about 90 minutes.) Since both of these apps suck, I have other apps that I use for photos (QuickPic) and music (MixZing) and don't bother using the built in apps. It's bad enough that I can't remove these apps, but the fact that they're adding extra drain on the battery adds injury to insult. When I inspect the running apps, for Music I found AmgSyncService running which appears to be part of MotoBlur. Searching the web the only thing I was able to find was a similar question posted on the xdaDevelopers forum. I suspect there is a similar process running for photos as well, but it hasn't shown up in my list of running processes.
Other than manually killing the AmgSyncService process everytime I start the phone, is there any way to disable this process to prevent it from starting up?

My C drive is almost 50 MB free and E (Mass Memory) is 9 GB free. Its a seven month old device. such as log files, which softwares I installed (I only download apps and songs from nokia ovi) etc.
