View 5 Replies View RelatedSome time ago some of my apps have swapped icons! E.g. Angry birds has now the Sláinte icon, Stopwatch has the Public transport icon etc. See the attached image. The apps start as they normally would and the titles are correct, but with the wrong icons. It's a Nokia N8 with Belle.50 Mb left on C-drive, 2,7 Gb left on E-drive.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've updated my N8 with official Belle software afterwich i found there's a ton new apps and their widgets installed my N8. They appear to be installed by an operator and are all on some language unknown to me, maybe Polish or Czech. I guess that's because my phone's product code is from one of those countries. Examples are: "MTV WebTV", "Postr", "TV2.hu", "AXN", "DunaMobil", "Ozone", etc. Anyway, for me they are junk apps and I don't need or understand them at all, they also take up a lot of space on my C drive. The problem is I can't delete them. When I try to delete any of them the phone immediately says "Removing cancelled".
View 2 Replies View RelatedNo Fring, No Skype, No Oovoo, Not even YM video call, No QIK, so what else is there for Video Call? other features like widgets and icon moving around is not something new feature. If you may have come accross with any Videocall apps for Belle
View 12 Replies View RelatedQuestion in the title really. Will we have to redownload all our apps? What about stuff from betalabs, will Belle be backwards compatible with those products? In particular Nokia Bubbles, which is a very cool little feature.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter updating my nokia n8 to belle refresh i can't install some apps like fmobi & foursquare from the store!! It gives installing error message!

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy E7 has "non" responsive screen after update to Belle. The phone is 1 mon old and with anna it was fine.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have read help files about the default auto-kill option in the task manager. But it does't explicitley specify which apps can be added to the auto-kill list. I would like to way to know which of the stock apps can be added to the list. I have noticed that my battery usage for idle phone in the range of 30-35% (which I believe a bit high). May be the default apps I already have added to auto-kill are required by motoblur and hence started automatically, thus causing a loop.I have installed only 3 apps uptill now so i am sure they arn't causing this problem
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince updating to Belle, I am no longer able to use the dab radio app, which renders my £40 headset obsolete. Hopefully this app will be available again soon??
View 19 Replies View RelatedI want to know if Emails can now be saved in mass memory on N8 with Nokia Belle. Using the limited C: drive space is not an option as it gets full too fast.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI see TomTom has disappeared from the Nokia store...
The Nokia Maps app does pretty good nav but whereas e.g. TT will accept a postcode like CT16 2AB, Nokia Maps (or Drive as it is called; the Drive app shares the same database with the Maps app) accepts only CT162.
Today I tried to drive from Brighton (UK) to Biggin Hill Airport but Drive could not find Biggin Hill, which is weird. So I used an old Pocket/PC PDA with TT6 to get there. The Nokia apps did not show any roads/streets for a large area around the destination and on the way back it was about half an hour before I reached a map showing roads/streets. I deleted and reloaded the UK map (400MB) from Nokia and that fixed that bizzare issue, but having two ways to do the job is obviously desirable. And TT is a better app with a better database.
wen i try to update my n8 trough swupdate it says there's ni update available how can i update my n8 in srilanka

View 3 Replies View RelatedChanged to Belle on my N8 a few days ago and generally found it an improvement on Anna except for one major problem. I downloaded Skype from OVI and it opens properly etc.but does not allow me to enter my password etc. and then reverts to the main screen. I am with Vodafone UK.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a good app to track Belle FP2 phones using GPS? I have Googled around and I can't find anything good and by good I am referring to an app that I can use to track my phone on a website (even when it's turned off, if possible) and it should also prevent uninstalling in case the phone is lost or stolen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI checked the Software upate application in my Nokia N8 and it says N8-00 Device software - Use your PC to update So I downloaded the latest Nokia Suite 3.3 and I checked the updates available there and I did not get anything for Nokia Belle. I also checked my product code 0599330 in the Nokia Belle availability page and it says available.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI own a N8 for 1 and half years and very happy with it. I did not upgrade to Belle because I read lots of people that were not satisfied and wanted to go back to Anna.
Problems I read in the forum in various discussions:1) Camera performance in low light has deteriorated, I love my N8 mainly because of the camera
2) Battery life is worse
3) Applications will be lost and I will need to reinstall them all , plus could never get back the Nokia ones I had free through offers
4) The useful and effective Nokia clock/calendar/profile switcher has been showed the door in favor of a Andoid-style clock
5) Widgets are worse or less effective: the email and music widgets are very big that I don't think I will be very happy wasting lots of space with no alternative.
6) Widgets do not change with theme, I have my nice Anna email/music and other widgets that gets transparent or just adapt to the Theme I choose, I haven't seen that on Belle. That ugly email widget for example is always the same , white on blue.
So basically I feel that I give up lots of useful and efficient features just in order to get a OS that is more fluid , has more homescreens and I can move the widgets and shortcuts around??
I have looked around the forum and there are still people not satisfied but most comments are now old.

View 6 Replies View RelatedJust got my first N8 yesterday and already so miffed with it that I feel like going back to the iPhone 4. Its currently on Anna but want to upgrade to Belle so I install the Nokia suite 3.3.86 which is where my issues started. It takes me 20 minutes just to get to the software update tab due to the constant message of not responding! When I get to the update tab I search for updates and says after 10 minutes cannot connect to server. I tried re-installing but seems to be just as bad.I am running a 64-bit pc with high specs so doubt its my computer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSteps to recreate the defect.
1. Lock the phone.
2. Send a text message to your number (Nokia N8).
3. When the text message is recieved the screen of the N8 displays the work "popUpClock" in the top left corner and the "time, Battery, and signal" icons on the right top corner.
4. The above message disappears in a split second and the screen remains blank for almost 2-3 mins before shutting off again. The best way to check the duration of the blank screen displayed is to keep the phone in dark. This bug could be one of the reasons for the battery draining for some users who recieve loads of text messages in a day.
