I've installed the Ovi Maps 3.03 on my E52. During navigation when I answer an incoming call, the navigation doesn't mute, it remains loud and clear so i almost cannot hear the partner.I couldn't find any option in the settings menu to change this behavior.
I'm using Nokia Maps on my E6-00 smartphone. If I make or answer a call during the navigation, my phone will only show me the details of the call (phone number, duration, picture of person called and so on) but not the map. Audio information is reduced to some "beep" in the background which is quite okay for me. But not being able to see the map and the next turns is annoying me.how to make "Nokia Maps" show the map instead of information about the call?
In general, I'm satisfied with my phone and I had no big problems except this one. The problem started a while ago. Sometimes, when someone is calling and I answer, there's no sound, I mean - they can hear me, but I can't hear them. If I try to call back, I still don't get any incoming sound. After I restart mobile phone or turn it offline and then back online, then everything is alright, at least for some time. The problem is definitely in my phone, not in others. This have occured when I have been called from different phones. This bug is unpredictable. I mean, it can happan like a several times a day or few times a month. Right now, it's happaning quite often .I have updated firmware and, I think, I have now latest firmware. What could be the problem? Can it be fix with some software or I have to take it back to the shop and ask them to change it?
Dont know that this is application BUG or bad software design that Silent option is not available on display screen during incoming call if phone is locked. Even is not allowing to answer the call from touchscreen.Anyone has info that is is software bug or handset issue?
I have recently purchased an N97 in Australia, when I have incoming calls from my contacts, most do not display names. If SIM contacts are selected, the contacts are displayed but when copied to phone and editted ie; ring tones to contact, additional details, etc and then selecting phone memory as default the contacts are not displayed to most of incoming calls.By reverting to SIM contacts as default, you lose all the additional features of the so called "smart phone".There seems to be no rhym or reason to why some contacts are displaye and most are not! Can anyone help with this frustrating problem?
Sometime the touch screen freezes and does not respond when there is an incoming call. None of the buttons also work. Once the call gets disconnected from the other end, the phone goes back to normal and a missed call indication appears in the call tile.
When i receive an Incoming call i press the slide up and then both the Answer and Ignore buttons do not work. And there is no touch response on these button, they are simple greyed out.
Lumia 710 OS Version: 7.10.8773.98 Firmware Version : 1600.3031.8773.12121 Zune Software Version : 4.8.2345.0
When I recieve calls the phone will only make around 4 rings before going off, I'd like it to be longer so I have more time to answer the call.it is a phone after all.
I'm currently using E72-1, V 031.023. A lot of times, when I get an incoming calls, my phone freezes once I click the accept button, it freezes for like 20 seconds, then either accepts the call, or hangs up. Also, when I dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number I press to display on the screen. I tried soft resetting, hard resetting, both fixes the issue for the 1st few hours, then both issues happen again!
Maybe somebody knows if it's possible to set any Lumia phone to show name of person and company name when receiving incoming call. This is important if contacts are synchronized with MS Outlook and there are tens of Johns but working in different companies. If there is a field with a company name in it, suppose this would be a must to have an option to choose how to display contact when incoming call, i.e. just name or name with a company name.

How do I reject an incoming call when the touch screen on the 5530 is locked? If I use the right slider switch to unlock touch screen, the call gets answered.
Our office recently bought a handful of the Nokia Lumia 880 phones for our "out of office" staff. These phones have all been updated to the latest versions of the software/firmware using Zune on a desktop.
There still appears to be a problem with incoming calls showing the incorrect contact. It appears to be ignoring the first 4 digits of the phone number and only matches the last part. We live in Australia and have to mobile syntax of 04 XXXX XXXX. Numbers saved in the phone are saved without spaces like: 0401234567
Here's an example of how to repeat the bug.
Say this is a friends number: 0450100200 and you have that saved in your phone as Friend 1
If you have a second friend with a similar number on a different network like: 0417100200 and Friend 2 calls you, the contact name for Friend 1 will appear on the call screen.
We tested this theory by adding my number into the phone as a brand new contact, but we changed the first few digits of the number. My phone number was not originally in the phone, but when I called, my name appeared on the screen, even though the number saved was different to my actual number.
I don't know whether anyone else has this issue, but I would like to get it resolved. It seems sloppy design for the numbers to be loosly matched like this.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM (RM-428 v31.2.101.263.04) and would like to enable auto-unlock touchscreen during incoming call. It is quite annoying to have to use touchscreen unlock slider on the side and then press "Answer" to answer any incoming call.
I UPDATED MY NOKIA 5800 to v40.--.--. SINCE THEN I HAVE ENCOUNTERED WEIRD PROBS AS BELOW.BEFORE UPDATNG THE PHONE WAS WORKING PERFECT.
1) WHEN SOMEONE CALLS, THE SCREEN SHOWS TWO ON-SCREEN BUTTONS, 'UNLOCK' AND 'ANSWER' BUTTON.THESE BUTTONS ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL ON TOUCH.I ATTENDED CALL WITH 'RECIEVE CALL' BUTTON MANUALLY.
2) ALSO,WHEN THE ALARM RINGS IT SHOWS SAME KINDA SCREEN AS ABOVE BUT WITH TWO ON-SCREEN BUTTONS OF 'STOP' N 'SNOOZE'.THESE ON-SCREEN BUTTONS ARE NON FUNCTIONAL.I HAVE TO STOP ALARM BY 'END CALL' BUTTON MANUALLY.
3) SOMETIMES THE SCREEN GOES WEIRD KINDA BLUR.TO GET IT BACK I HAVE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK SCREEN
4) THE MUSIC PLAYER WORKS FINE BUT IT HALTS SOMETIMES.AND I HAVE TO RESTART MY PHONE SO THAT I MUSIC APPLICATION WORKS PROPERLY
YESTERDAY I REFORMATTED THE PHONE REMOVING MEMORY CARD AND I NOTICED THAT I GOT THE ALRAM SCREEN ALL RIGHT AS IT WAS NORMALLY.BUT THEN AFTER A FEW HOURS I PLACED IN THE MEMORY CARD AND THEN TODAY THE ALARM SCREEN WAS THE SAME AS IN PROBLEM 1.
I have recently got a Nokia 6301 and put all my contact is. However when someone rings me neither their name or number comes up on the screen - just "call". What I have I done wrong? I have put the contact name in and phone number under "general".
My N8's display always turns totally black when there is an incoming call, or even when thealarm rings. Before can see the caller's name and answer the call, I have to disable the screen's "keylock".I tried to find a point in the phone settings wher I can avoid this, but didn't find any.
i have nokia lumia 610 and it doesnt show remaing balance after call ended my old was able to show this old phone was nokia 500and also i not able to get incoming call even when i have full network signal and my call are getting disconnect after sometime i am out of home network i told service provide company this problem
Recenty i noticed incoming call, outgoing calls & miss call are not listed in the directory history , this came after i tried to update my phone through inetrnet but version update failed.
Was just wondering if its possible to mute the incoming call ring without rejecting the call? I have seen that feature in some htc phones and tried on my phone but it didnt work.
I was facing the problem of contacts & call log after updating the 2.1(multitouch update). My call log doesn't record the incoming, outgoing and missed call. Sometimes it records and sometimes it doesn't.
after hard reset,3.0 map version changed to 2.0 map version.I tried to download maps 3.0 via maps updater but it appears on screen: cannot get enough information about the phone, unspecified error. Please help me solve this problem.
Yesterday I installed the new free Ovi Maps and managed to download some maps and voice guidance files onto it as well. Yay for the free new gadget. But somehow my compass doesn't seem to work anymore. Or rather, it stays white and I don't see the map tilt. With the previous version I would just move the phone along all axis for a few seconds and it would turn from white to yellow to green (as described in the manual). Here, nothing happens, no matter how long or how often I turn and twist the thing. Is there a different way to do it in the new Ovi Maps? Am I doing something wrong? Is it a bug? If so, am I the only one with it?
Today I decided to install the latest maps available in ovi suite. When I install them I get an error "disc C full", it wants me to remove files to make space available. The thing is, that I now have 20.9MB of free memory there, so I doubt that it can really be insufficient. I think it's rather a bug. I would normally deinstall previous version and install the new one, but since I need this navigation, I can't risk that after deinstalling old one new program won't install anyways. So, any suggestions on what to do? There's nothing left to remove from phone memory.
I came across a weird problem with online connection. I use a Nokia X6 (16GB) + external bluetooth GPS receiver for faster and more accurate positioning. When I open MAPS and I have bluetooth GPS ON it's impossible to connect to online services like weather, michelin, OVI placemarks sync.It seems the app can't handle a BT and WiFi connection at the same time. Most of the time it can't connect and some times ti crashes. If I turn BT GPS OFF then connection is normal.
It used to work this way Each time you start Ovi maps the phone makes a connection using GPRS/3G access point and made Sent ~2kb Received ~6kb transfer Now, on regular bases (every 1 minute) the phone connects to supl.nokia.com - Positioning Server and trasfers data which is not admissible Note I had this test while not having GPS lock (indoors). I will do the test outside as soon as possible! Anyone else experience this problem? Message Edited by leon_plovdiv on 28-Jan-2010 11:10 AM
I have a 6110 Navigator and when I try to update ovi maps, I get a certificate error. This is the first time I've used Ovi, and I managed to update to the latest phone software version. When checking for updates, it lists maps but is impossible to install. Is this being fixed?
