I am using a Nokia E51 and Ovi Suite, both the latest versions, under Windows 7 32 bits.However, some weeks ago, it stopped syncing with Outlook (calendar and contacts). However, it can correctly sync the SMS messages.It starts syncing and stops saying that the phone got disconnected, error 8393f017.The same thing happens with bluetooth and USB cable.

New version will not sync with Outlook 2010,says Outlook is not the default mail client when it is and once you continues it give sync failled message. Also each time I run it I get 250+ error messages in the Windows 7 System event log. Three screen shots of the error and event log entries attached.
View 13 Replies View RelatedLike all I see I also bought a windows 800 on the basis that all our team of 50 would change from Iphones to windows so we could sync with our outlook which is not server based but we each run our own outlook folders but no there is no outlook sync. Yes you can copy to the live account and then use that as your main calendar but who wants to do that?
I asked and was told specifically that it would sync with outlook so the Carephone Warehouse guy either lied or did not know his stuff ( I know what my guess is!) Amazingly my wife's samsung galaxy using Android does sync.
If you can tell me how I can synchronise my windows phone with my Outlook without exporting and importing CSV and ICS files then please do so.

I got the N97 on the basis of the maps and GPS stuff. Problem is I have never managed to download maps. I'm using mao loader 3.0.28.0 and Map version 0.1.23.112 both freshly downloaded and installed. There's 24.2GB free memory and my selcted map is175.5MB. When I try to downlad maps I get one of 3 things. The download hangs at about 30-40% I know my internet connection is fine because I'm browsing. The download completes and I get an unknown error when save to storage medium starts. I get a storage medium disconnected message. I've tried it on a desktop and a laptop pc. I've done a full reset on the phone and started all over again. I've trawled all the boards and blogs that come up in google and no one seems to have an answer. I'm starting to get very hacked off with how much of my time is getting soaked up getting nowhere.

The email sync tick box is also greyed out but the wireless sync work a dream no probs at all but I would like to get my contacts on there along with email folders and such.

Burrowing into Blackberry's on-line support, it seems the most likely cause is BDM - 5.0.1 - trying to connect to an unsupported version of Outlook. (Article ID KB15564).
The result is no contacts or diary on my expensive new smartphone, which is disappointing beyond belief, since Outlook 2007 etc. seems no longer available.

My phone told me i had to update it to new software.So I connected it to my computer (running win7).I started the nokia phone update software, which correctly identified my phone etc. It told me it was normal it could say the phone got disconnected.After a few minutes, it told me my phone was disconnected and I had to unplug it, unplug battery, put everything back in and press power for 1 second to resume updating. That doesn't workHard resetting with shift + space + backspace also doesn't work. The phone vibrates for a second and does nothing. I do see a little red light inside the navi-pad.

I have a Blackbery storm 9530 with software version 5.0.0.328 installed. I am using Windows Vista and trying to sync with Outlook 2007. Prior to a recent upgrade of the DM, I was able to sync my Calendar and Contacts. Now I get Blackberry Desktop Synchronization error "Determining the root configuration of main system" and then a Intellisync error follows displaying "Unknown error reported". I am unable to complete the sync.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe recently upgraded my wife's Blackberry to a Curve 3G 9330. When we try to sync to Outlook (non-Exchange), we encounter an error with the contacts (address book). The Desktop Software simply indicates an "unknown error" - not particularly facilitate. We've narrowed it down to a potentially bad contact record on the Blackberry, but cannot find a way to delete it. The options menu will not come up on the Blackberry for this one record. We've try to sync the device by overwriting the contacts with new data from Outlook, but still get's the same error message. I cannot find any information on erasing/deleting the complete contact list on the Blackberry.

I receive an Intellisync "unknow error" dialog box and the sync completely shuts down. Can't change any of the configuration settings as well. Receive the same "unknown error".
