i have the above kit fitted and the button has been left off (missing).when the ignition is
off my phone will connect via blue tooth no problem.. as soon as the ignition is turned on it disconnects and the kit disappears.yet when turned off again it connects then if i dont connect the kit just bleeps every minute or so for a while.
all can anyone tell me if there is a screen protector allready fitted to the phone out of the box. As it looks like there is on an it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy touch screen has been playing up for several weeks nowWhen I try to touch the main screen it will select an area to the right of where I am touching, i.e. clicking the dial pad button will actually select the contacts button, clicking 'answer' on the keypad will put the caller on hold etc etc. Other times the scren will not respon at all.
The funny thing is, when I remove the phone's plastic casing, the touch screen works fine! Similarly, if i push the top part of the case to the sides (so it is not in contact with the digitiser) the touch screen will work again until my phone goes on lock and then when I unlock it the touch screen is stuffed again.
I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem. On one hand its as if the plastic casing of the phone is rubbing (putting pressure on) against the side of the touchscreen and causing it to not work (hardware) while on the other hand it could be software in that the problem keeps happening everytime the screen goes to sleep (it's not initialising right).The other problem which started at the exact same time is that the green button is not working sometimes when I try to answer calls or turn off my alarm.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try? I've already done a hard reset. The next step is to buy a new digitizer/plastic case and see if that solves the problem.

My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.

When browsing trough one of my favourite news sites, I noticed when pressing the return button, it does the same as the recent apps button. It brings up the list of all my recently used apps.
I have tried a bunch of things like clearing the cache, getting a third party app to get a return button on the screen, even a full factory reset.
My phone came up with a message asking if i wanted to update to the new software so clicked ok, it seemed to be taking ages and then suddenly went off. Now when holding down the power button and the home button it is still not working and wont restore?

On my Lumia 950, it will reset when I hold down the power button for 10 seconds but this should only happen when holding down both the volume down button and the power button at the same time. My Lumia 920, which is also running build 10.0.10586.29, can have just the power button held down and once I swipe away the power off prompt, it works normally and stays on just like I want.I would like to use my Qi enabled car mount but it needs to push down on the power button, causing it to constantly restart.

I't a bit annoying. I seem to remember the same behaviour on the N97 I once had. I seriously, 100% and completely agree with you. I really believe in the touch screen. I love it for everything I do on there. I don't think physical keyboards are easier like some people keep crowing, but GOD, the on-screen camera button is SO EFFING TERRIBLE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! It makes it so awkward to hold the phone and push the button. There is a level of deep-rooted frustration that pops up when using any piece of technology other than my iphone. The only time that frustrated feeling takes over with the iphone is when I have to use that on-screen button to take a picture. It's a pain in the ass, taking multiple pictures sucks, taking pictures quickly sucks, being unaware of my surrounding while i'm concentrating on threading the needle that is making sure i hit the button correctly sucks. It takes the fun out of photography, it takes the spontaneity away and negates the whole advantage of having a camera with you at all times.
Please somebody beg, borrow, or kidnap steve into making the Perfectly positioned to be a shutter button in a comfortable and funny way that just works. Volume button into a camera shutter / video start stop button when the camera button is open.or at least give me the option. I did some looking and the Camera Zoom 2 app has this as an option. Anybody know of any others? I don't like being stuck using a 3rd party camera app as I'd rather use the one that apple designed to work best with their camera. Maybe I'm just paranoid about other camera apps taking longer, and taking worse pictures, but I really want apple to make this an option.
I cannot find the equivalent of the enter button on the on-screen keyboard. Where is it? I always have to slide the physical keyboard open to press enter. It gets kind of annoying.

some of us want a phone that has clear conversations, others want seamless bluetooth integration, even others want powerful web browsing and in my case, i want nokia to restore the music player interface regarding the back button to be restored to the way it was pre-v20.
as far as i can gather from the short time i've been on howardforums, it seems like this is as good a place to express frustrations about such items as these, wouldn't you say?
now, i do appreciate the input of those who suggested that this may have to do with having the mp widget on the main screen. i tried it and it definitely still happens even if i remove the mp widget and go from the music player icon.
So now the sequence is:
1. start music player -> get to music menu
2. choose music library
3. select artists (as an example)
4. scroll to the chose artist - so if you have 50 artists and looking for rick astley you have to kinetic a few times up and down before finding him
5. now you have to choose an album -- out of the 15 you may have of him -- more scrolling
6. now you have to scroll through the songs
7. pick song #12 let's say
So far so good, you're rick rolling yourself away to Never Gonna Give You Up and get out to the main menu somehow so you can do other things.
Now you decide that that was awesome but you want to hear Together Forever on his same Greatest Hits album. You'd think that going to the Now Playing screen, you could somehow just back out and get to the last list of songs -- Like on any other mp3 player I know. I've never used an iPhone but I bet you that's what you get on an iPhone.
Nope, Nokia decided that what you want is to browse your entire catalog again. So you have a choice from the Now Playing screen: either you get the menu and choose Go To Music Library and start from step #3 above or you have to start from #1 just to get to the same fricking list you *are* already on.
N97 v12 did not do this, the N95 did not do this, the N82 did not do this, the N900 does not do this (actually the N900 has the song list on the now playing screen which is nice) so who the f*ck at Nokia decided this was a great "improvement" that they needed to put in and then needed to keep?
So I understand that to some of you guys this is not a big deal. Good on you. It does not mean that it's not a problem so please spare us the give me a breaks and the what's the big deal. Some of the issues you find incredibly important might not resonate with others. It certainly does not mean it's not important to you does it?
