Why only USB cable CA-157 is using in certain phones? I want my C6-00 also able to use the smiliar function. And WHY this cable is proprietary? NOT microUSB as most of the new phones use?

I have a nokia C75 cable ( TV out cable whih I used with Nokia N 79). however the cable is not working with my Nokia E6 . secondly the E6 shows two ways of TV out i.e NTSC & PAL What is the meaning of it & how to go into Auto mode?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a CK-100 car kit and trying to find a replacement/upgrade charge cable (CA-134) with a USB micro B connector instead of the 2mm that is fitted. The user/installation guide mentions that an alternative USB cable may be supplied but all searches have failed to find one. The alternative is to make up a cable RJ45 at the CK end, I can buzz it out but does anyone have the pin out for the RJ45? I've tried the CA-146 adapter and to be honest it's naff - it runs hot and the output is reduced to the point that whilst running my satnav app the phone will discharge faster than it can be charged, I've also tried the adapter on a standard car charger with the same results.
View 7 Replies View RelatedA longer cable can be gotten separately. But why make the users pay for yet another accessory that would be useless once they get their next non-Nokia phone? The cable supplied with the phone is too short to be useful for anybody using a desktop tower instead of a laptop. Sometimes I wonder how they come up with such brilliant ideas like this tiny cable when no other brands have been able to do such things yet. Then I replace 'how' with 'why' and keep wondering.

That allows you to charge the Razr V3 while using the USB data cable? In other words, such a cable would have to have a 'Y' configuration with two inputs and one output to the phone. The two inputs need to accept the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the charger and the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the data cable

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been looking for a very particular tethering solution and so far been unable to find anything: I would like to use my phone's wifi connection on my laptop via the USB cable (I have a 5530 XpressMusic).
Using Ovi Suite, I can use the phone as a modem (i.e. use its 3G connection), but that's not what I am looking for. My laptop's WiFi module is broken, but my phone's wifi is working just fine. So my idea was to tether with the phone to share the connection with the laptop.
I am due to get a Nokia e51 next week but it does not come with a wall charger. As far as I understand it the E51 cannot be charged through the mini USB data cable is that right? - So I might have a spare nokia wall charger for a nokia 6500 Slide phone or a Nokia xpress music phone, will that charger be OK to use on a E51 do you reckon? - I.E. right connecter, voltage and amperage?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently got my Nokia E72, and am trying out the USB Data Cable Charging "feature" - it just does not work for me. I wonder if am doing something wrong? The process of inserting the Data Cable is quite straight forward, the phone presents a menu of options "PC Suite..." which I promptly cancel. I then get a message "Charging", and about 15 seconds later I get a message about disconnecting the charger?
The battery/ phone are now in power save mode ie battery almost completely drained - right. So, why will it not charge through the data cable - it refuses. I have searched on the interweb, but seen to be the only one with this problem. The Nokia E72 manual mentions that charing is possible through the use of the Data Cable. I am directly connected to the computer (MacBook Pro 2009 Model). Mac OSX correctly detects the Nokia E72. Do I have to be in Windows XP?

I decided to start a new thread in the hope more people would see this. I have the connectivity error when i try install pc suite ( i was having problems with it so i uninstalled it, had further problems and went through the registry and deleted anything with nokia in it), i tried all the steps here (pc suite cleaner crashes at 7 %) revo uninstaller found no trace of nokia anywhere on my system but yet i still get the connectivity cable driver error.Any help?
View 13 Replies View Relatedi have a n95 8gb, which i'm using as a modem to connect to the internet. actually i'm using it right now. he problem is, that when i add a usb extension cable (3m) to extend the cable that came with the phone, the internet connection breaks after a (short) while. especially when downloading large amounts of data, such as when viewing Internet videos. it works for a while, then stops. if i disconnect and reconnect, it works again. for a while.
i am using windows 7 64bit, home premium edition. i have installed the latest drivers and pc suite. the latest ovi suite as well, but i'm not using it and it is not running. i doubt it is a software problem since the problem only seems to occur when i add an extension cable. the reason i add the cable is that i get a much better signal a few metres away from my computer, and thus much higher internet speed. could it be that the higher speed is a problem? that is the only non-hardware problem i can seem to think of at the moment............
Can somebody please let me know why I am unable to connect my phone to the pc for file transfers? My pc is Dell Dimension 5000.
