Nokia :: 5800 / Paired With JVC KD-BT11 Car Stereo
Jan 27, 2010
I've found something I don't like about my 5800.. It fails to work properly with this head unit for A2DP.I've paired the two up, the head unit and phone show as connected, but when I go to play a music file on the phone, I hear audio for a few seconds and then it stops coming out of the speakers. The phone carries on playing it, and if I switch off the head unit so that the blue tooth disconnects, then the sound is heard through the phone speakers.I seem to recall that the N95 I have worked to play MP3. The only other significant difference I can think of here is that the music I'm playing is M4A.Any ideas why this doesn't work properly?
I successfully pair my iphone 4s with my car stereo. However, the audio form calls and music is not being transferred. I´ve already tried with two different car stereos.
Since Nokia maps became free to use for driving with spoken directions, I've decided to use it again on my 5800 rather than another piece of Nav software that I had. Whilst it seems to work great, my only problem seems to be that it announces the directions over Bluetooth. As my phone is connected to my car via a built in Bluetooth kit (parrot), whenever I activate routing with spoken directions, the phone takes over the audio and mutes the stereo (with "PHONE" displayed on my factory head unit). The stereo is then muted for the whole journey or until I exit from Nokia maps. So it seems my only options are driving without music, or mute the 5800 and route without spoken directions ?
I have an iPhone 4 and want to use it to hook up to an aftermarket Pioneer stereo via USB. I was wondering if anyone has already done this and if anyone has had any issues. I don't have the stereo yet because I am a little wary of incompatibility because I have heard that iOS 4 has some issues with car stereos. Let me know if you have done this or if you have gotten it to work.
I'm trying to pair my E51 with my BH-503 headphones but I can't find the paired devices tab. I've gone in to the bluetooth menu via the settings->connection->bluetooth as well as settings-> phone-> and scrolling to the connection tab but I still can't find it.
I paired my bh-905 headphones with my iPhone 4 and then with my PC as the second paired device. To do this I turned off the iPhone, held the multifunction button on the phone down until the phones entered discovery mode (blinking blue light), and then they are seen at the PC, no problem. Both ways they work well with great sound, and with the iPhone calls ring in and the music continues when done with the call. I usually use them at work, connected to the iPhone, but sometimes at home I want to use them with the PC. To connect to the PC, I first turn off the iPhone bluetooth, but then I can't get the phones to connect to the PC again unless I remove their bluetooth entry from the PC and re-pair as a new device. It's a small quibble, but other bluetooth sets I own will find the other active devices to which they're paired. Is there a procedue to switch the blutetooth connection from one already paired device to another without re-pairing the phones each time?
I have recently installed a CK-300 kit which I chose because I love Nokia phones. I have paired it to my 2730 and the performance is dreadful. Callers complain of a huge echo and background noise, even when the vehicle is stationary. To further test the car kit, I fitted my sim to my old 6230i. Perfect. Even at motorway speeds the sound and clarity is great. Other posts on this forum have advised updating the phone software to 9.41 which I have done and re-done just to be sure but this doesn't cure the problem. I don't feel happy about changing handsets each time I drive, but that's my only option to stay legal unless one of you experts can help me fix the 2730.
Every time I try to connect my iPad to the Play 360, the first several times the iPad states "connected" but the Play 360 suddenly powers off. I hold the power button to reboot the speaker, put it into pairing mode, and it happens again. I have "forgotton this device" on the iPad, but that didn't solve the problem. After between four and twelve cycles of the above, the Play 360 and iPad connect, and it functions well. The iPad is with the latest software. The problem occurs whether the Play 360 is connected to a power source or not.
I have an E71 and I am having bluetooth issues. This happened firstly using my Navman handsfree and now my handsfree through my Sony car stereo. It all connects up fine works great and then after about two weeks stops connecting when I get in the car. I can't get it to connect at all tried deleting the devices on everything and re pairing but it will no longer pair. I have paired another phone to the car stereo so it must be the phone. Is there anything i can do settings wise or does. It sound like a repair is needed to the phone.
My bluetooth device BH_103 was and still in red mode since the last time i drained it about 2 days ago. ive tried charging it for several hours now yet the red light doesnt wear off nor show sign of improvement.it doesn't connect to my phone nor produce sound or light when i press the mutlifunction key. upon testing the charger on my e90, the charger was perfectly fine.
Being a sound engineer and involved in different aspects of music production, one of the features that made me purchasing the 5800 was the 'Digital stereo microphone' mentioned in the specifications... (quote):
I didn't find any trace of such digital mic, be it analogue or digital... the in-built mic is of course not stereo, and the mic in the remote isn't also, leave apart being 'digital'
I'd love using my mobile to capture musical ideas on the fly, or outdoor ambiences, but all attempts using the included recorder app are far from acceptable quality, no matter the file resolution or using inbuilt or remote mic...user ' grschinon' states in the thread /t5/Nseries-Devices-and-S60/5800-mic-or-line-level-input-for-recording-audio/m-p/479174 that an external mic can be plugged in it... could anybody please explain how?
I have a Nokia 6350, which has a 2.5'' headset outlet on the side. I tried to find out which headsets are compatible with this model, but the Nokia website only lists Bluetooth ones. But of course this model support wired headsets too, otherwise it would not have an headset outlet in the first place? recommend me an headset which is compatible with my phone? I bought a Nokia HS-47 one, but I can only get sound on one side, and I would like to avoid wasting money in other products which are not compatible...
Is there a high quality stereo audio recorder available for N8? The in-built app can only record at highest of 64kbps.I'm looking for one with at least stereo 128kbps capability.
Where is failure (software/hardware)?my N900 do recognize: all stereo headphones, TV-out cable, mono headset with microphone HS-40,but DONT recognize stereo headsets with microphone (like original WH-205)i think that is a software problem - why mono headset works, why stereo dont? all connectors must be OK - if wouldnt - mono headset and tv out cable wouldnt work at all...
I couldn't get Nokia Stereo Headset WH-205 buttons working in Music player. Anyone know how to enable the buttons on the headset. I want to use the play/stop/FW/BW buttons on the headset
I'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.
I have a Nokia 2680 and I fully charged my bluetooth earpieces. On my phone, I set the Bluetooth on, gave my phone a name and selected phone's visibility to all. When I try to add a paired device to add the bluetooth, it gives me a message saying no device found. The bluetooth earpiece is right next to the phone. Can anyone help?
I just bought Nokia 5800 in America. I'm originally from the middle east and I need to write in Arabic when I chat or send messages. the problem here is that the phone reads Arabic but I can't write in Arabic. my question is "Could I use firmware of Nokia 5800 (RM-356) on Nokia 5800 (RM-428)?
If not, could anyone help me and get me the firmware that support writing in Arabic?
I have C7 with Anna SW in it (022.014). What I noticed was that when other devices are trying to pair with the C7 it automatically fails. BT is visible to all and the are now block connections. The other devices can find my C7 but somehow C7 rejects the the other devices immediately and won't even prompt the safety word (or security code?).
But when I initialize the pairing from the C7 everything goes fine. The security number is prompt and pairing is finalized.
I have not tested this whit other phone (5800) and PC BT software.
It is a problem because Nokia Suite (3.2.100) needs to do the BT pairing. And it won't accept even if the C7 and PC has already paired.
Does anybody know if I can tether a Blackberry Torch 9810 to a ThinkPad Tablet. When I try in Bluetooth on my Tablet I can get them paired but I get this message "Paired but not connected".Has anybody had any luck in doing this?
I have wireless Bluetooth DELL BH200 Headset. When I paired this headset with playbook, it says No Services available and can not play audio on headset.
Is it the case that Playbook is not compatible with buetooth headset?
I just got a new blackberry bold an dwould like to know I can transfer all my contacts from the old blackberry to the new one? I cant seem to get the bluetooth paired?
My Blackberry 8900 will pair successfully with the bluetooth system on a 2010 Jaguar XJ but will only autoconnect if I switch off the phone and then restart it. It used to connect automatically.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8900, Windows XP SP2, Desktop Manager 4.7 and a 3com PCMIA Bluetooth Card. Using the card I have successfully paired my computer with my Blackberry. All the services on the blackberry are enabled and the Bluetooth software shows that the serial port service is available using COM4. When I open Desktop Manager and open Connection Options, the 'use bluetooth' option is grayed out, so I cannot connect my Blackberry. Does anyone know what to do?
Whenever I try to get the files from my other phone I just cant use bluetooth. It just say paired but not connected and when I try to connect it will not work..
I have an LG G4 and have been enjoying Quick Charging using multiple Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 chargers I bought since I got it. Have noticed recently though that it doesn't charge as fast as it used to. Though the G4 doesn't really post a notification on screen that it is fast charging, usually by an hour our charging I'm at full capacity and ready to take it to work (don't charge overnight, just charge an hour after I wake up then by the time I leave, i'm good to go).
Now after an hour, it's still below 40% charging! I'm now wondering if it has something to do with my new smartwatch which I paired to my G4. Bought a gorgeous Huawei Watch last week and it's paired to my G4. I'm thinking if it being paired--meaning it constantly getting information from the watch even when charging--is causing the phone to constantly wake up and stop fast charging?
I just tested this theory a few minutes ago. Turned off bluetooth in my G4 and it seems fast charging went back coz phone charging ended faster. Do Smartwatch paired phones keep the phone from Quick Charging?
My Xprt was able to connect to my Bluetooth (Q Ant 2) without any issue. Over the past two days it cannot connect. I have removed battery from the phone, Shutdown/rebooted, made it scan for devices, cried/screamed etc. and to no avail. I get an audio prompt from my headset that states ( "Unable to connect") On my Xprt in the Bluetooth section I get "connecting...." then it will sate "paired but unable to connect".
