I have a Nokia 6350, which has a 2.5'' headset outlet on the side. I tried to find out which headsets are compatible with this model, but the Nokia website only lists Bluetooth ones. But of course this model support wired headsets too, otherwise it would not have an headset outlet in the first place? recommend me an headset which is compatible with my phone? I bought a Nokia HS-47 one, but I can only get sound on one side, and I would like to avoid wasting money in other products which are not compatible...

I first have to put my headset into the 3,5 mm AV connector before being recognized, and even then the headset may stop working after a few minutes. Once the headphone is working I still cannot make use of the (music)buttons on the headset (louder, softer, next, previous, etc.) I am using the headphones every day.

This is DESPITE the nokia site saying it is compatible.Does anyone know how to make it work or if it or any other nokia headset does (although I don't see why I should need to buy a new one). I am pretty sure it violates some consumer law to say something is compatible and will work, and then for it not to work..... I desperately need bluetooth as I take calls while driving for business LOTS.

I don't want another pair of them, I'm looking for an alternative set of in-ear earphones with a mic. Can anyone suggest something that has been tested with an N900? I bought a pair of Klipsch S2m earphones which had been suggested, but they don't work, they make a strange and loud clicking noise, so it seems the N900 is sensitive about which earphones/headsets work.Ideally I'm after earphones that have a cable, so I can use them on an aeroplane. Don't mind if they are Bluetooth too, as long as wired use is possible. I don't mind if special buttons don't work, as long as the audio and mic work correctly.Can anyone suggest anything that has been proven to work in practice?
View 5 Replies View RelatedGot my n900 last week. and it cant recognize my sim card.im using a pay as you go sm card with CBB. danish provider which is under telenor.i have been researching around with this sim card errors, and i found out that the problem is with new sim cards.the chip design is different from the old ones.
and i have tried with the old design of same provider, ( my fathers sim card) and that worked fine in my n900.i called my provider and they can only provide the new designed chip.
so i really hope nokia comes with an update very soon, coz i cant use this phone for jack now.i took a pic of the 2 different chipset design i have.the left one is the new design which doesnt work, the right one is the old design which works
My N900 can't recognize or see memory card. is this part of the big failure or peculiar to mine. Worst still, I cant use check my credit balance using the code *556#, load credit. It doesnt with pc suite, nor with the ovi suite, map updater, map loader! is this a fraud or what?

I have a headset for my N95 8GB and it works fine, but the media buttons on the headset won't work with my new phone. Is there a way to make them work or is there a headset with those buttons that will work with N900? My second question is about zip-programs. What is the best program available for N900 for zipping/unzipping files with my phone? I am not so familiar with linux/maemo so I plugged my N900 into my pc and unzipped them with PC.Otherwise I have been very happy with my new phone.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?

I don't use my handsfree so much, but it was working before without any problem. today when I tried to connect the headset I saw a message: "accessory not supported" and I found out that the button and mic were not working.I searched the forum but didn't find similar topics with original SE headset which came with my phone.I guess it is because of my latest update (from .42 to .62 baseband) cause I didn't do any thing special with my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been experiencing a funny problem when charging my N97. I bought my phone in August last year. It had been working fine till now and still is. I really have no complaints when it is concerned to performance and usablity. Initial issues were promptly solved with the firmware updates.
Yesterday night, I found out that I had this problem. When I hooked up my phone with my charger, it did not show any light. I tried to use the charger on another mobile(SAMSUNG) which sports the same USB port as my N97 and it worked ! I also used the samsung charger (though its only 700mA) on my N97 and the charging indicator glowed ! To my surprise, the charger adapter pin that ships with the N97 allowing us to charge the phone with older chargers also allowed me to charge my phone. In short, everything charged my phone(including USB) except the provided charger.
Secondly, of lately the headset has become dogdy. Earlier, even if I ran while having hooked up, the connection was good. Now, even if I move the slightest, the phone looses the connection with the headset and the headset icon disappears. Then I need to plug it out and the plug it in again for about 2-3 times to get the icon to reappear. Now if anyone can explain to me why this is happening and the solution to it, I would be really happy.
the headset icon stays even if i remove the headset. I tried to restart and restore my phone but if i plug in the headset again and removed,the head icon stays again.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

The 6233 wasnt a music phone but it still its perfect for music, why would someone need a loud phone? Of course for listening to music.
So i was wondering maybe Nokia should make their XpressMusic real, i mean really for music and they defininately need to be loud as 6233.

It fails to work properly with this head unit for A2DP.I've paired the two up, the head unit and phone show as connected, but when I go to play a music file on the phone, I hear audio for a few seconds and then it stops coming out of the speakers. The phone carries on playing it, and if I switch off the head unit so that the blue tooth disconnects, then the sound is heard through the phone speakers.I seem to recall that the N95 I have worked to play MP3. The only other significant difference I can think of here is that the music I'm playing is M4A.Any ideas why this doesn't work properly?
