This will be our official thread to capture all issues related to the Android (Honeycomb) 3.2 update. While this update has only rolled out to the WiFi-only population thus far, we will use this thread for issues on ANY Xoom device going forward. That way we can keep redundant threads to a minimum and share issues where everyone can help verify and find alternate solutions (if possible). This will also allow Motorola to review issues have surfaced, look for potential hardware conflicts and pass along common systemic problems to Google.

I was playing Words with Friends yesterday in the country with little 3G and no wi fi coverage. The Word wouldn't send. Hours later at home it still wouldn't send and then the Xoom wouldn't turn off until I pushed the volume up button as well as the turn off/on button. The it just wouldn't turn on again. It's frozen on the M Dual Core Technology opening screen. I let it run out of battery, but it has made no difference. I hate the idea of a factory re-set- all that data lost.
"Honeycomb isn't actually built from the ground up and that it is just a shell running on top of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Every now and again, I miss an email in the non-gmail inbox. As well, I usually notice that I've gotten a duplicate alert for an already seen email. Example: Today I had a fedex confirmation from 10:30 come through at 3, for which I had already read two emails newer. The fedex email was not at the top of the stack, it was unread in the third slot.
I have been copying data over to a 32GB SanDisk MicroSDHC (Class 4) card via the Android File Transfer app via USB. I am noticing that the file sizes do not match between the local HDD directory on my mac and the AFT app. Here are two examples: 1> a text document shows as 2.2MB within Finder, but in the AFT it shows as 2.1MB; 2> a Video file shows as 132.6MB in Finder and in AFT it shows as 126.4MB. I have confirmed that I can open the text file and play the video, so I'm not sure why the file sizes are off. I am also seeing AFT not displaying directories which are indeed present on the SDCard. These directories are not empty. I can access them via both ES Explorer and the Terminal app on the device, but when I plug in the device to USB and fire up AFT, the directories/files are not present.

I have had my DX2 for roughly three weeks, and for the most part, aside from some testing issues, it has been pretty good.With all of the information I've been reading, the OTA rollout of Gingerbread came out to the X1, but not the 2.That said, when are the updates going to come out for the 2? the fact that the companies are taking care of the earlier phone models, showing reward for loyalty, but the individuals who upgraded to the newest hardware are stuck waiting.Does anyone know when, or if we are getting the next OS?Are we moving directly to Honeycomb?I moved to a newer phone in lieu of rooting my DROID phone, and I'm happy that I did, but I am getting a little impatient.Also, I have no exposure to MOTOBLUR.Does my phone have it? I found my xoom honeycomb market is different than my smartphone motorola milestone (froyo)for exam:on milestone market I cant found app Skype, but on Xoom I can found app Skype on xoom I cant found Yahoo messenger, on milestone I can found Yahoo messenger why or because I live in Indonesia so different market?
I bought the device few days ago and on very same day updated to Android ver. 3.2. I use internet over my home Wifi and have a Netgear - WGR614 router. The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?
Can anyone provide details or know anything about the tasks app (as in "to do list") that comes with the XYBoard 8.2? In playing around, I actually thinks a really well done app. Simple and clean. I have one screen on my XYBoard with just that widget and have been asking tasks, checking this off, and getting things done. my life is more than just the tablet. I'd like to be able to access to the list from the web and my Bionic. I know there are plenty of task/to do apps out there. I just can't seem to find out what this specific one is and wanted to know if someone could clue me in.Is it native as of Honeycomb 3.2? Was if provided by Moto or Verizon? Or is this one of their hand-picked apps for productivity that came preinstalled.
Ever since I have had this phone (Since the first day it was available) I have never really had a great experience with the GPS on this phone. The problem is very random, basically at some point I will try to use a app that uses a GPS location like Gas Buddy and it will report a location from hours or days previous. Most of the time I can turn off the GPS and turn it on and it will work. But some times I need to reboot the phone. In addition to the that problem if I am using Google navigation, Telnav or Waze it will make a look and start navigating then states it lost GPS and it never gets it back. At that point I have to reboot the phone as nothing else will work to resolve the problem.
There is an option in the task manager under its settings to show system apps. When you do it will show that the Android system is running at 25% of the CPU. You can refresh this and it will remain the same.
I'm curious, is that because it is taking a snapshot of what the CPU is doing right at that moment (which would be refreshing the Task Manager list) or is Android really constantly gobbling up 25% of the CPU? Seems high if it's the latter...

This morning there was a system update. I do not know what was updated. I did not record any information about the system, so I can not tell if anything has changed. what the update did or how do I lookup update information?

I have WiFi re-connection problems when coming out of hibernation. I understand this is fixed with...[URL]However, when I go to System Updates it says my device is up to date... but it isn't .. it's 1t 1.6.0_218.3-MZ615. (I have a UK Xoom 2)
from the Motorola Australia page:"We have an update for all of our Xoom fans. We have now submitted our final round of software to our carrier partners for testing. It will take two weeks for them to test. Provided there are no issues found during the testing, we expect to upgrade Motorola Xoom to Ice Cream Sandwich for both WiFi and 3G users on June 21st.About time they gave us a date. Now to see if they will meet this date.
I finally received the notice that I could download the OS updte (in Israel) this AM, but opted to do it later. The announcement has not re-appeared since. How can I initiate the system update manually?

An update popped up on my 3g xoom about 15 minutes ago. As you do you would press apply update and then install. Now my xoom boots up then restarts then tries to install the update but then displays the android logo with an esclamation mark.Either I need a way to stop the update from trying to be installed, a way for it to get installed or a way to wipe the whole tablet and start fresh.
im wondering why my Xoom is not getting the Android 3.2.1 update. im still at 3.1... an update which i got very late.i went to my local Best Buy store and their display Xoom, has the .2.1 version.what can i do to get the updates????
About 3 days ago my applications on my xoom stopped updating. I have 15 apps right now that say they have updates available. I click update, the app shows to be downloading, finishes and then shows 'update unsuccesfull.' New applications will not download either. I have rebooted several times. i have stopped every application that i felt could be affecting this.
I need a simple clarification that I can't find discussed plainly in any of the SD threads.As I understand it, an SD card is completely unusable at this time. For example, files can't be transferred there through a program such as Quick Office.Is this correct?
So I am a total noob here, I purchased my XOOM 3 days ago and already I am totally frustrated and annoyed with Motorola and there customer service, or the lack there of. It's beyond me how a 6Sigma company who holds their suppliers to such strict standards can have so little regard for their customers and their level of satisfaction.With that off my chest, I wonder if any of you bright individuals can help me out. As I said I purchased my Xoom 3 days ago and after unpacking it I wanted to put my SD card in to retrieve some pictures and other files from my old tablet. I found the slot and removed the plastic piece and saw there was something written in it. It said "Replace with Micro SD only after Android system update". I thought that was odd but went ahead and started the update to 3.1. Well it has been downloading ever since and is now at a whopping 3%.
My Wi-Fi connection appears good and fast, I can download apps from the market in seconds and the web is quick.I started a service call regarding this; you can probably guess how that is going, even though they say, once you jump through all the hoops, that you will receive a reply within one business day. Apparently I am unfamiliar with what constitutes a 'business day'.
