View 2 RepliesI just recently upgraded my Xoom to ICS and linked it up to my companies Outlook using Active Exchange. Everything is working fine except for syncing my contacts. I have subfolders under my Contacts folder (e.g. Work, Personal, etc.) that are not visible/syncing. Is there a way either within the native e-mail client or an app that will let me sync the contacts subfolders? I do not want to root the Xoom. My iPhone does this natively but I'm not sure that ICS can.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNoticed yesterday that my bookmarks on the Xoom were not syncing any longer. When I looked in Settings/Accounts & Sync, the Chrome portion showed a white life-raft indicator & when I click on it to initiate a sync it always ends with an error - red exclamation point at the bottom of this screen. I do have quite a lot of bookmarks so I wondered if maybe that was the issue so I tried deleting all on the tablet and syncing with a different account that has no bookmarks. Same sync error occurs. Have also tried a FC and 'delete data' for the Browser app from Settings/Applications (multiple times) but it still won't sync with either account.
Just wondering if this is something just happening to me or if there's perhaps an outage at Google that's affecting others' Browser syncing. Anyone have any other suggestions for getting this working again other than doing a factory reset? That's probably the next thing I will try, once I make a list of all my 3rd party applications so I can re-install them later. Incidentally the Xoom is a US WiFi model, non-rooted, with the OTA 3.2 update in place. As far as I know this problem only started a few days ago, well after the 3.2 update.
I have my Picasa synced to auto sync. Any new uploads to the website will sync to the tablet. The problem I am having is that my upload folders I see, through my tablet, are showing old folders that have been deleted, as well as not showing new folders that I created through the website. This was working on the 3.0 version then all of a sudden stopped. I was hoping with the 3.1 upgrade that it would work, but it is still not working. This tablet is not unlocked. I tried unsyncing and resyncing the tablet, but it just does not want to forget. This tablet is encypted using the option through the system. This is a Verizon 3G tablet.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Xoom WiFi, updated to Jellybean. I use the built-in calendar app from Google. I have my Exchange account added, and email comes through fine. In the calendar, only SOME of my appointments show up. I figured out that it is certain categories that don't make it through... Personal, Networking, etc don't work but Business, Vacation, Firm Event, etc do. It's quite strange.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought the device few days ago and on very same day updated to Android ver. 3.2. I use internet over my home Wifi and have a Netgear - WGR614 router. The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open. The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?
View 2 Replies View Relatedan issue receiving Hotmail on Droid x after the 2.3.3 update? I can send an e-mail, but I can't receive one. I've done everything I can think of from changing ports, to re-adding the account, many factory reset, battery pulls, reboots, cache clears and had to call tech support. After several hours on the phone with both Verizon and Motorola tech's as well as these forums to try to resolve the issue the best answer I was given was to try an app off the market place or ship my phone to Motorola for repair.

View 15 Replies View RelatedAll the birthdays in my gmail contacts were originally working fine on my Atrix. However since the update they do not sync properly. If I add a new contact the birthday doesn't show and if I change the birthday of an existing contact the birthday disappears on the Atrix. They dates show on the contact information but do not appear on the calendar. In addition, if I change or enter a birthday for a contact using the phone it always changes the entry to the previous day after I hit the SAVE button. For example, change a contact's birthday to April 1 and after saving it shows March 31 (which is what gets synced back to google). It doesn't show up on the calender under either date however.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAn update popped up on my 3g xoom about 15 minutes ago. As you do you would press apply update and then install. Now my xoom boots up then restarts then tries to install the update but then displays the android logo with an esclamation mark.Either I need a way to stop the update from trying to be installed, a way for it to get installed or a way to wipe the whole tablet and start fresh.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I am a total noob here, I purchased my XOOM 3 days ago and already I am totally frustrated and annoyed with Motorola and there customer service, or the lack there of. It's beyond me how a 6Sigma company who holds their suppliers to such strict standards can have so little regard for their customers and their level of satisfaction. With that off my chest, I wonder if any of you bright individuals can help me out. As I said I purchased my Xoom 3 days ago and after unpacking it I wanted to put my SD card in to retrieve some pictures and other files from my old tablet. I found the slot and removed the plastic piece and saw there was something written in it. It said "Replace with Micro SD only after Android system update". I thought that was odd but went ahead and started the update to 3.1. Well it has been downloading ever since and is now at a whopping 3%.
My Wi-Fi connection appears good and fast, I can download apps from the market in seconds and the web is quick.I started a service call regarding this; you can probably guess how that is going, even though they say, once you jump through all the hoops, that you will receive a reply within one business day. Apparently I am unfamiliar with what constitutes a 'business day'.
I had my Xoom bootloader unlocked with a custom ROM. I was invited to be apart of the ICS test soak and proceded to reset my device to stock 3.0.1 and locked to bootloader. I am now stuck at Android 3.0.1 and my device will not update.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just updated to 3.1 and my tablet has now slowed right down. It now takes time for the tablet to realise I am trying to switch screen if I try and swipe between home screens, but the graphics are faster than previously which is odd. The major problem for me is that typing has slowed down and become less responsive. I just tried to buy an app from the Android market, and it couldn't keep up with me putting my card number in. I then tried to type in other applications to see if it was just typing generally that was causing the problem which it is. Restart did not fix it either. This effectively makes the tablet unusable for me as the typing speed is unreasonably slow.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSkype has just released version 2.6.0.75 with some much needed improvements.
I haven't had a chance to fully test the new features as I wanted to let everyone know asap.....But one of the cool features is that it now supports file transfers!! Yaaay! Bout stinkin time! The UI is changed in look at bit and the video is supposed to be better optimized on Tegra 2 devices. I haven't tested the video out since the update but I will say that navigating the new Skype was FAST!
concerning the poor battery performance of the Xoom after the 3.1 update. Unfortunately the search function of this forum is totally rubbish, resetting the capacity readout by deleting some kind of init file...
