View 1 RepliesThis will be our official thread to capture all issues related to the Android (Honeycomb) 3.2 update. While this update has only rolled out to the WiFi-only population thus far, we will use this thread for issues on ANY Xoom device going forward. That way we can keep redundant threads to a minimum and share issues where everyone can help verify and find alternate solutions (if possible). This will also allow Motorola to review issues have surfaced, look for potential hardware conflicts and pass along common systemic problems to Google.
This thread does NOT replace making reports to Google directly, that would still be recommended for issues that have been confirmed.Make certain your profile is updated to show what Xoom you are using Check to see if your issue already exists in this thread and please do NOT make a duplicate post, just provide additional details if your situation is different.Search the forums for any past issues that are similar and if found - update the older threads instead (moves them to the top of the forum list)Provide all necessary details about the issue (how to make it happen, what issues it causes, what you tried to resolve it, etc.)Include any other apps you are running at the same time that might affect the situation. If possible, test your issue with no other apps running on the Xoom.Please do not assuma anything is a "defect" unless declared by Google or an App's developer;Provide any workarounds you have discovered to help other users - this would still be an issue (also update our "tips" thread)Please refrain from making derrogatory comments or personal statements here, let's keep this thread on reporting issues..Always provide updates to your post if you later resolve the issue!
I was playing Words with Friends yesterday in the country with little 3G and no wi fi coverage. The Word wouldn't send. Hours later at home it still wouldn't send and then the Xoom wouldn't turn off until I pushed the volume up button as well as the turn off/on button. The it just wouldn't turn on again. It's frozen on the M Dual Core Technology opening screen. I let it run out of battery, but it has made no difference. I hate the idea of a factory re-set- all that data lost.

Example: Today I had a fedex confirmation from 10:30 come through at 3, for which I had already read two emails newer. The fedex email was not at the top of the stack, it was unread in the third slot.

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?

In playing around, I actually thinks a really well done app. Simple and clean. I have one screen on my XYBoard with just that widget and have been asking tasks, checking this off, and getting things done. my life is more than just the tablet. I'd like to be able to access to the list from the web and my Bionic. I know there are plenty of task/to do apps out there. I just can't seem to find out what this specific one is and wanted to know if someone could clue me in.Is it native as of Honeycomb 3.2? Was if provided by Moto or Verizon? Or is this one of their hand-picked apps for productivity that came preinstalled.

It will take two weeks for them to test. Provided there are no issues found during the testing, we expect to upgrade Motorola Xoom to Ice Cream Sandwich for both WiFi and 3G users on June 21st.About time they gave us a date. Now to see if they will meet this date.

Now my xoom boots up then restarts then tries to install the update but then displays the android logo with an esclamation mark.Either I need a way to stop the update from trying to be installed, a way for it to get installed or a way to wipe the whole tablet and start fresh.

I click update, the app shows to be downloading, finishes and then shows 'update unsuccesfull.' New applications will not download either. I have rebooted several times. i have stopped every application that i felt could be affecting this.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I am a total noob here, I purchased my XOOM 3 days ago and already I am totally frustrated and annoyed with Motorola and there customer service, or the lack there of. It's beyond me how a 6Sigma company who holds their suppliers to such strict standards can have so little regard for their customers and their level of satisfaction.With that off my chest, I wonder if any of you bright individuals can help me out. As I said I purchased my Xoom 3 days ago and after unpacking it I wanted to put my SD card in to retrieve some pictures and other files from my old tablet. I found the slot and removed the plastic piece and saw there was something written in it. It said "Replace with Micro SD only after Android system update". I thought that was odd but went ahead and started the update to 3.1. Well it has been downloading ever since and is now at a whopping 3%.
My Wi-Fi connection appears good and fast, I can download apps from the market in seconds and the web is quick.I started a service call regarding this; you can probably guess how that is going, even though they say, once you jump through all the hoops, that you will receive a reply within one business day. Apparently I am unfamiliar with what constitutes a 'business day'.
I had my Xoom bootloader unlocked with a custom ROM. I was invited to be apart of the ICS test soak and proceded to reset my device to stock 3.0.1 and locked to bootloader. I am now stuck at Android 3.0.1 and my device will not update.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just updated to 3.1 and my tablet has now slowed right down. It now takes time for the tablet to realise I am trying to switch screen if I try and swipe between home screens, but the graphics are faster than previously which is odd. The major problem for me is that typing has slowed down and become less responsive. I just tried to buy an app from the Android market, and it couldn't keep up with me putting my card number in. I then tried to type in other applications to see if it was just typing generally that was causing the problem which it is. Restart did not fix it either. This effectively makes the tablet unusable for me as the typing speed is unreasonably slow.

I haven't had a chance to fully test the new features as I wanted to let everyone know asap.....But one of the cool features is that it now supports file transfers!! Yaaay! Bout stinkin time! The UI is changed in look at bit and the video is supposed to be better optimized on Tegra 2 devices. I haven't tested the video out since the update but I will say that navigating the new Skype was FAST!
