I have settings for home and when I am bellying up at my local bar trying to get my Guiness on, the Smart Action is not smart enough to know I am 2 miles away from home. Is their way to tweak the geo-profiling?

I have an action set up to start the Pandora app whenever my phone bluetooth connects to my truck. For some reason, today the action is active while I am at home and with no bluetooth connection. I rebooted the phone, but the action starts up again. Having the phone's bluetooth on or off doesn't seem to make a difference either. I tried toggling airplane mode on/off with no change. I tried deleting the Action and creating a new Action with the same results.

Trigger: Detect my wifi, then: Disable Cellular Data, Turn on blue-tooth, dim brightness to 45%, lower ringer volume, But when I leave the house, I want it to Turn Off Wifi and enable Cellular Data. Is there a way the SA can detect that I am not connected to my home wifi and disable wifi and enable Cellular Data, or just enable one SA and disable the active one?
View 9 Replies View Relatedi have set up the pre formated sleep mode using the time trigger, however, each night it shuts off before the set time. i have the night trigger set from 11pm to 1159pm everyday, the morning trigger set from 12am to 7am everyday and the weekend trigger set from 701am to 9am saturday and sunday. sometime in the wee hours of the morning it shuts itself off in the middle of the morning time frame. ive checked my phone at 3 am and 5 am to find the smart action has shut off. i have to open and close smart actions to get it to come back on. ive deleted the action, cleared cashe and started over, deleted and started from scratch and used the pre formated sleep mode. i cant think of why it stops working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI typically keep my phone on vibrate, I rarely turn on the ringer. I have a Smart Action setup for night time which turns the ringer/vibrate off to silent. I also have a work Smart Action setup which sets it to vibrate (just in the case I had turned on the ringer at some time). It seems that when these Smart Actions turn off (which the work one tends to do even when I'm at my desk at work, but that's a location issue talked about elsewhere) they tend to turn the ringer on to full volume even if I had it set to vibrate only beforehand.

It vibrated and the backlight lit up as it usually does when the phone turns on, however, the Sony Ericsson logo does not appear and it stays frozen in this state. I have tried removing the battery for a few minutes but it doesn't change anything. I also tried connecting to PC Companion, which intermittently detects the phone, as if it was being continuously connected and disconnected. I cannot do an update or anything to it from the computer.

So i went for my run yesterday and about 3/4 miles away from finishing the MA start acting up. It was saying i was running at a ~6mpm pace. i know for a fact that i wasn't! Then suddenly i was done, I would say less than 1/2 mile away from target. at that point I was so tired that i didn't care that much. but i do care now. On the route map i can see where it all went down and the MA stop tracking my distance. not sure why it happened, but its the first time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the settings you can select what you want to display. I know that the distance in miles is displayed in the upper right corner all the time but it is so small and I don't wear my glasses when I'm running so I can never read what it says.
Is there a way to select the distance in miles as one of the four metric settings you can select to have displayed on the workout screen? If so can you tell me what it is called because when I select the "Distance" settings that isn't it. And I have no idea what "Distance - Stage" is but I tried that and it didn't show the distance I ran as one of the four settings in the center of the screen either.
Right now I have the pace selected and when you tap on it it fills practically the whole screen so I can read that without my glasses. But I want to be able to read how many miles I have run.
I purchased a new bike, and changed the setting default profile for cycle to MTB2, and I changed the tire size 29 after I noted the problem after the first run that the ACTV was set to the default cycle, (I guess) but since I started riding this bike the milage and mph have been off, the first ride was showing I think it was 22 miles, it was on 1 apr 2012, you can check my workouts, but we really rode about 27 miles. Today I rode exactly 22 miles and it was showing a little over 20 miles?
I hope I've missed something in the settings, I can't use this if its not accurate, plus I used it for 1 hour and 45 minutes today and the battery was almost at 0%? This is a problem considering that I will be doing 100 miles rides, which can take several hours.
Aside from having Mr. Blurrycam over for a party, is there an app (perhaps via Android SDK like DDMS) that allows me to get a real-time streamed Atrix screen on my PC so I can record videos to demonstrate operation of an app?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to ICS and being forced to do a FDR, I eventuallly realized my Smart Actions were no longer woking properly. I deleted them and was adding them back one by one. The ones that are not location-based work okay but I cannot actually get a location trigger to save. I press on Location, it shows me my one location I have set up right now, I select that one, press done to go back out to the smart action page, but the location value is not set. I tried clearing the cache, system and app, already but nothing changed.
I just realized I can set a location if I am not editing a sample action. Starting with a blank rule, it works but I still hae so save the action and then save the trigger.
Is there way to send myself an email if I miss a phone call?When I'm at home my razr max is hooked into my housephones with xlink. Both the cell phone and xlink are located in a closet. Every once in a while a call doesn't go through to my house phone or answering machine - just my cell and I end up not know about the call for quite a while. I always have email turned on so I thought having my cell phone email about the missed call would be a good way to be notified. I tried texting to my gmail acct but smart action is looking for a phone number to send the text to.

The phone only lights up for the duration of the ring time until the caller is sent to voicemail.After receiving the call from the business customer, I placed a test call from my personal smartphone. Incoming calls from this my personal mobile WOULD trigger an audible ringer previous to receiving a call from a number that was NOT on the VIP list. Now, the phone remains silent, no vibrate alert, no audible ringer. The phone only illuminates until the call is routed to voicemail.
I've tried basic troubleshooting: uninstall updates and reinstall updates for the Smart App. Have deleted and recreated the Smart App rules. Restarted the phone. Nothing seems to work...Could someone please give me a clue as to what may be the "smoking gun" for this. A quick search of the web features others that had mentioned the same issue with their handsets but no real resolution to this problem. And, I really would like to be able to use this feature of the new device, otherwise I just purchased a new $300 phone to carry around beside my Droid X. In that case, I may as well just return the MAXX and return to my previous Droid X.

There a fix for this so that I can make changes or this app is no longer supported?
I have set up the SmartActions app with the Caller ID option set up for phone calls only, no text messages. I have the Motorola RAZR MAXX HD paired with a Motorola H720 Bluetooth headset. Is there a setting that directs the announcement of an incoming call to the Bluetooth device only? I don't want to announce to the world that I have a call coming in via my phone speaker.
If my Bluetooth is turned off, I would expect the audio to be directed to the phone speaker. But if my Bletooth is on and active, shouldn't the announcement go to the Bluetooth?
I want to create a rule to set the phone to ONLY 3G when the display is off, saving battery. If I'm not using the phone, I have patience. I'm less patient when using the phone and want 4G.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just updated my Razr Maxx to ICS several days ago and ever since then the Location trigger I use for work is completely unreliable. It's constantly turning on and off all day long. I mainly use the smart action here to make sure my phone is automatically on vibrate throughout the day at work and I can't really rely on it at this point. Prior to updating to ICS it worked perfectly.I noticed you do not need to leave WIFI on anymore for location triggers to work, but at the same time I see wifi in my battery usage while wifi has toggled off. Is this new version manually turning on WIFI to determine location? I've tried leaving WIFI on and it doesn't seem to make a difference, it's still inconsistent.Also, I've already tried resetting Smart Actions to default and wiping out all smart actions and starting from scratch.

I checked for conflicting rules, and none of them are conflicting so what could be causing the missed call smart action not to work?
Since the .893 update has come out and the smart actions app from the RAZR was not in it. Does anyone think we will ever be getting this app in an OTA? This is one app that seems like it is useful.This would at least be a little bright spot in my rather abysmal Bionic "experience".

When I tried to apply the update, I received a message that there was an error downloading the update. I could not get this message to clear, so I tried uninstalling the previous updates and then re-applying the updates. Now, I get the message "Your order is pocessing, your item will be available in a few minutes." I have cleared cache and data for the play store and rebooted my Droid Razr several times, but I cannot cleare this message. Anyone else experiencing issues with applying the latest Smart Actions update?
