Motorola Photon 4G :: 'Complete Action Using' Browser Defaults Lost

When I'm in an application that tries to open up a web URL (Google+, Twitter, other apps), I get prompted to "Complete action using" Browser, Firefox, or Opera Mini.I click the check box saying "Use by defauly for this action", but every time I click a link, I get the same prompt.On some URLs, when it redirects, I will get the message popping up three times in a row.I went to home -> settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> Browser and "Launch by default" says that I have "selected to launch this application bt default for some actions", but I can't see what they are. Shall I just try clicking the "Clear defaults" button there, then reassociating Browser?

My Photon automatically defaults to the dial screen when I press the call button from the home screen. It used to display the last tab used or recent calls if I had missed one. I have scanned through all of the options and can't seem to find an option to change this.

I typically keep my phone on vibrate, I rarely turn on the ringer. I have a Smart Action setup for night time which turns the ringer/vibrate off to silent. I also have a work Smart Action setup which sets it to vibrate (just in the case I had turned on the ringer at some time). It seems that when these Smart Actions turn off (which the work one tends to do even when I'm at my desk at work, but that's a location issue talked about elsewhere) they tend to turn the ringer on to full volume even if I had it set to vibrate only beforehand.

I am unable to Factory Reset my Motorola Photon. Whenever, I try to reset it wipes data & settings upto May 12, 2012. It would not delete/wipe anything prior to that date.

I installed MobileVoip and Viber in my HTC One X.When I call a number from:
- default dialer,
- the contact list
- or Dialer widget
I don't get the option menu "Complete action using" to select Dialer, MobileVoip or Viber. Look at the attached screen-shot (from my previous Galaxy Note). To use MobileVoip or Viber, I have to dial the number in those apps.I already checked the details of the 3 apps (with a phone icon) in SETTING > APPS > ALL APPS tab. And none has default action, the button "RESET DEFAULT ACTIONS" is deactivated (non click-able).This menu "Complete action using" appears for other type of action, like opening a .LOG file or a .PDF file.The missing menu "Complete action using" when dialing:
CONFIG: HTC One X. Firmware 1.29.401.11, Android 4.0.3, Not Rooted.

I have a page on my browser that I want to delete. Somebody I was showing this phone to thought they would be funny and went to a site on my phone that is offensive. That page can't be deleted from my phone. I have gone through the history and bookmarks yet I can't get a delete for this one page. All that comes up is the add book mark (and this add sign stays on the picture in my bookmarks) and it won't allow me to change the bookmark to a page I want. I've been trying for three weeks to get rid of this page and I can't.

While apps that use Internet work OK, I cannot connect to websites by using the stock browser and the newly installed Dolphin browser. I cleared the cache for the Browser and this did not help.

1st major one is occasionally I cannot hear the callers but they can hear me, second the web browser has heavy delays when loading a page. For example the page will load 25-50%(according to the status bar) and then freeze and then fully load in one burst. I am updated to the latest software 45.2.7. MB855.Sprint.en.US I also remove my battery almost daily and restart my phone daily.

Is there a way when viewing bookmarks in the list mode of the stock photon browser to sort them alphbeticaly. I'm not sure what order they sort in but it's not alphabetical. The default sort makes things hard to find at least for me.

After the latest update I lost my hotmail account and charter account. They are seen in my accounts but nulled out. I can not delete them. Also, if I try to add them back, I have no options anymore for adding email accounts. It only gives options for Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Lotus Notes, and Skype and the lotus notes and skype is there because I additionally installed that. Does anyone review functions of the phone before they release updates or are we all just Beta testers for Sprint and Motorola. I had just got my phone fixed with all the other issues.

I got the 3.1 update and it has imprved performance for browser greatly. but -- I can no longer see the tabs for open web pages at the top of the browser windo -- and I really want to see them. I can find a list of thumbnails in the "swipe from the side" enhanced menu -- but I'd like to see tabs for each open browser page up at the top of the browser window.

Disk error - cannot complete write retry or data will be lost.I tried to format mass memory but didn't work can't format. Showing same error continuously can do anything.also tried hard reset didn't work.

This was reported on another forum but I want to place it here as a bookmark for anyone at Moto trying to perfect the GB package. I noticed the camera after update defaults to the widescreen mode and even if another setting is made once the camera is exited and re-entered it returns back to the widescreen mode. I prefer to use 5MP camera mode as a default, hopefully this bug can be eliminated on any new release.

I have a SA for when I'm in the house. Trigger: Detect my wifi, then: Disable Cellular Data, Turn on blue-tooth, dim brightness to 45%, lower ringer volume, But when I leave the house, I want it to Turn Off Wifi and enable Cellular Data. Is there a way the SA can detect that I am not connected to my home wifi and disable wifi and enable Cellular Data, or just enable one SA and disable the active one?

I have an action set up to start the Pandora app whenever my phone bluetooth connects to my truck. For some reason, today the action is active while I am at home and with no bluetooth connection. I rebooted the phone, but the action starts up again. Having the phone's bluetooth on or off doesn't seem to make a difference either. I tried toggling airplane mode on/off with no change. I tried deleting the Action and creating a new Action with the same results.

We have not seen any releases recently for bug fixes, and support is all but non existant anymore. Tons of features that dont work as advertised. I know they are legally suppose to support repairs/parts for a period of 7 years or so, so I am sure there is some sort of legal obligatioin to deliver a product that functions as advertised.

using Photon 4G with Airtel prepaid sim with system version 45.3.6.MB855.Sprint.en, Whenever I run short codes (USSD codes) like *123# to check my prepaid GSM balance or interact with service provider by *121# it takes long time showing USSD code running.. and after few mins either shows MMI successfully complete or MMI failed but doesnt actually show the text which is shown in my other GSM phones; to query balance or activate some service. Tried forums but no concrete solution.

Any use the Motorola Date and Time Widget? Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

I have a Sprint Motorola Photon 4G and I am using it in Brazil with a Claro SIM Card. The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. My build # is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6. Does anyone know a fix for that?

i bought a photon at best buy today, carried it around for a while, installed the netflix app, brought it home, plugged it in, and after i tell it to install the system update, it downloads, i click install, and it shuts down immediately, starts itself back up, and then as soon as everything comes back up, i get a message that says update has failed. this has happened 3 times now, downloaded on wi-fi
