Motorola Photon 4G :: "Reply To All" On Email Client?
Feb 28, 2012When I do a reply to all on photon email client, it adds my own email also in the list of email addresses the email has to be sent to. Is there a setting for this?

Mar 23, 2011I can't get the default email client to behave like a pop3 client. Apart from some small bugs, like if inbox is empty you can't get to your sent folder, I can send and receive emails properly. However, I can't find a normal pop3 setting Leave mail on server. Which means it will download all new messages from the server, and nothing else.Now it more or less behaves like a mapi client and syncs against the server and removes all messages from the inbox that I have deleted from the server. But I want to have the messages on the phone until I delete them.Any email program out there that I can use on the Nokia E7 that can be used as a normal pop3 client? Apart from this email problem I would say that Nokia E7 is the best phone I have had so far. If I only could get the Nokia E7 hardware and use N900 software it would be perfect

May 14, 2012I'm not sure how to describe this annoyance, but hopefully someone knows how to resolve the issue.About a month ago I received a spam Email (AOL) which I have linked to the default Email client.I deleted the Email without opening the Email but ever since the header appears everytime I receive a new Email notification in the systray.Fortunately it wasn't anything of a comprmising nature just a sales pitch for the "Original Orgreenic Pan".I've tried removing the account as well as deleting the email cache to no avail.

May 15, 2012When I receive a meeting invite via my Google mail client on my D3 it comes in formatted differently than my Google mail client on my laptop. I do not get the option to accept the meeting invite to my calendar, specifically Yes, No, Maybe. Is there anything I can do to get this functionality back in the mail client for the D3?
Second if I download the .ICS file that accompanies the meeting invite, and try to apply it to my calendar, it defaults to the phone's calendar rather than my Google calendar. Is there anyway to change this so that the Google calendar is always the default?
Motorola Droid Razr HD :: Stock Email Client Not Syncing Consistently?
Nov 20, 2012My phone doesn't consistently sync, even though I have push email enabled. Happens when I'm both connected to wifi and on 4G/3G. When it's not syncing, mail doesn't even sync when I open the app; I have to manually do it. Completely unacceptable, never had this problem on any other smartphone I've owned (which have all been HTCs). Maybe this is helpful, but the gmail widget and the email widget also do not consistently sync on my device. Maybe there's a trend here that points to a larger problem or solution. But I' m not worried about the widgets; I just want to be able to get my email onto my device, which should be happening with no issues.

Aug 26, 2011I retired my Blackberry to get on board the smart phone train and after 2 1/2 weeks with my Atrix 4G I am barely able to use e-mail. I'm not a techie but fairly competent with a post grad education and spent over 2 hours with a true techno geek that could not find a solution that only after spending a couple hours in the local AT&T retail center with their gurus trying to determine if the phone was defective.
After reading dozens of posts on outgoing e-mail problems, there are so many different issues that I cannot believe AT&T can market this phone "for the business man" T can market this phone T can market this phone

Sep 9, 2011I can receive email just fine from my Atrix 4G phone, but I can't reply or send an email. It tries to go, but then I get a message that says it wasn't sent. I have gotten with our IT person, and all the settings seem to be right. Others aren't haveing problems sending from thier phones.

May 13, 2010I've seen a few post that sort-of answer my question, but none seem exactly right. I have a Bold 9700 and use a BIS to retrieve my personal email from my ISP's POP server. I don't use BES. When I'm at home or at work and have direct access to email, I'd like to turn off my bb email client. How can I do that?
In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)

Dec 22, 2011I just activated a Photon and I think I made a huge mistake. The email client only syncs 30 days' worth of email? There's no way to sync older messages? I don't keep much in my inbox but I do keep messages older than 30 days and I need to go back to them from time to time.I suppose the obvious workaround is to use a 3rd party mail program, but please let me know if there is a workaround. I was stunned to see this limitation.

Aug 14, 2012Have Photon for 10 months. Did firmware update (45.4.13.MB855.Sprint.en.US) a few weeks ago, no change in operation. A few days ago, phone stopped retrieving mail from Android mail app and from Yahoo Mail app. I've always had "Battery & data manager" > Battery Mode > (set to) Maximum battery saver. Always retrieved mail as appropriate for mode.
Tried nighttime saver and performance mode. Pulled battery. Still no mail retrieval. If I open mail apps, they will retrieve mail, but not automatically as before.

I enter the email info (my.name@mydomain.com), my password, the GoDaddy mail host name (pop.secureserver.net), port 110, security type NONE, and tap "Next." It thinks for a few seconds,with "Checking incoming server settings..." then comes back with "Couldn't finish:Username or password incorrect." (Server name, port, and security type are per GoDaddy directions.)

Nov 19, 2012I just purchased a motorola photon Q 4GLTE. Used to have the Samsung Moment. On this motorola I can take videos in HD 1080 or HD 720 and 3 other lower settings but none of them will send via text or email. Message says the file is to large and to use the Video MMS setting. I used that setting and the quality of the video is awful and the sound is almost inaudible. but it will send in a text. How can I send or convert my HD videos to mms and send them via text and email? Do I only have the option of the video MMS mode? If so....I would much rather have my samsung moment back. took much better pictures and sent high quality videos. I have searched high and low and went to a sprint repair store and there are no answers to my problem. The store said they are made like that and don't have good quality mms settings. I can't believe this is so. Is there an app or a setting to fix this problem

Aug 24, 2011On my first Photon and my wife's Photon the email icon is a bright red icon looking like an envelope.
When I updated my Photon I now have a gray borig @ sign icon. Where is the other icon? That seems to come if you set up email with another provider (I was initially using comcast). I tried creating comcast account again but it did not change the icon.
Is there a way to get that notifiacation icon back? Obviusly it can be done without being root.

1> I have tried using both domainusername and just username with no success.

Oct 13, 2011After the latest update I lost my hotmail account and charter account. They are seen in my accounts but nulled out. I can not delete them. Also, if I try to add them back, I have no options anymore for adding email accounts. It only gives options for Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Lotus Notes, and Skype and the lotus notes and skype is there because I additionally installed that. Does anyone review functions of the phone before they release updates or are we all just Beta testers for Sprint and Motorola. I had just got my phone fixed with all the other issues.

Oct 17, 2011I'm having a bit of a problem with my email. I've set up a personal account to use IMAP. On my old phone, deleting items from my in box removed them from the server, but that's not happening now (using the default Mail APP). I noticed it was sending them to the trash and so I went into the trash folder, selected all the email and then tapped the "Delete" button. Nope. There were nowhere to be found on the phone, but they were still on the server (as I found out when I got home and connected via my desktop client.)I read a suggestion on a non-Photon specific forum that suggested to make sure the trash folder was set up to be a push synch, so I tried that.ere are my settings for the account:Data Push (not checked, but I've also tried checking this)Fetch schedule: every 15 minutesFolder sync: Trash - background; Inbox - background; deleted (which is an empty folder) - background
