View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to move one picture from my computer to my Razr. I have had only one little bit of luck with a data file to the Internal Storage. I have been trying to get the pic to the SD card.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI set up Motocast wireless without any issues, but cannot access the files after uploading/syncing. I can see my files listed, but they will not open. I can access mymotocast from my desktop and open the files with out a problem. On my phone (Electrify) I can change tabs (files, music, videos) and highlight my desktop's name, but cannot change the layout (list or thumbs), or open any of the files. There should not be any DRM issues, as all content is either personal, academic, or work-related.The only interaction that I can get is when long-pressing the filenames a javascript prompt comes up: bookmark link or copy link. I am at a loss.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a Razr Maxx (VZW) and am having the following issue with Motocast:When I attempt to download (or "download and open") certain pdf files from my remote computer, although it says "Starting to download (file name)" on my status bar at top of screen, then says "Motocast :: Download completed" on my notification screen, the files dont appear to be anywhere on my device. They should be going to My Files> Internal Phone Storage> download> Motocast> "Computer name"> "Documents" (which is name of folder synced with motocast). The files are all on my MacBook Pro's Documents folderEverything including music, pictures and all other file types seem download to the phone perfectly. There is one folder where several pdf's in that folder, and certain subfolders only (not all subfolders) just dont download. The download status seems to appear and disappear very quickly on these files that dont work, compared with the files that do work where the download status appears quickly (not as quick) and shows the download status bar reach completion. The files download to: /mnt /sdcard /Download /motocast /computer name / folder name / file nameI have tried to remove the folder in question from motocast then re add it with no luck. There are just some pdf files (and of course the most important files to me) from one folder that wont download to the phone
View 3 Replies View RelatedWasnt just a mere week ago, I had un installed and re installed the Motocast Software; all was fine til about a day or two ago when I noticed that my Shortcut icon of Motocast is no more; want a pic? I'll upload it in a min.
Well once again this is my weekend and again I usually use Motocast on my days off and lol once again I'm having issues. Tried playing back a video file but alas stops within 30seconds. I play again and it stops within 30seconds. Or Ill start to play a file and it takes seconds upon seconds upon seconds just to play the video file.
I do enable Wifi prior to using Motocast so I wouldnt think it has to do with that; but I am pretty sure that when my graphic shortcut icon goes corrupt so does my actual application for it to work properly.
Question is, why does it keep happening? Is it because my Windows Operating System performs some sort of update and causes it go haywire?
How do I open wav files on my Droid Razr? When I attempt to open a wav file I received in an e-mail it will not play.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I have been unable to view my photos successfully on my laptop. It has been happening for several weeks now...When I transfer the photos to my laptop via USB (before you ask, I have tried as USB Mass Storage, PC MODE, and Windows Media Sync) and try opening them, I get the message 'Window Photo Viewer can't open this picture because the file appears to be damaged, corrupted, or is too large.' I just now figured out today how to get the Motocast application installed and running, and it synced up ~400 pictures from my phone to laptop.
However again, when I try viewing any of them on my laptop, I get the message. I have been emailing the photos from my phone, but for some reason that stopped working today also. I go to the photo gallery and do a multi select>Share>Email, and the draft is created. I see the photos attached, put in my email address, but the email never sends...it just pops up with an orange triangle next to the subject and says Send Action canceled. Not sure what all information is needed...software is updated, is a RAZR MAXX, my laptop is Windows 7. About 65 of the photos/videos appear to be in Internal Storage and the rest are on sD card.
I had problems in playing MKV videos and also I have seen in the android market that many of our Moto users have said that our stock players doesnt give audio for HD MKV files. Give a try to the latest MX Player, its plays everything people!

We have installed the software on the computer (a Macbook Pro) and skipped the wireless setup (because we are only interested in USB syncing at this time). But when we connect the phone, all we get is a message, "Please wait while MotoCast USB loads your content."

WINDOWS XP MOTOCAST for Windows 1.1.58 Droid Razr
When your PC searches for photos, music, files, etc and then makes them available for sync with your device, how to you:
A. Remove certain files so as they are not available
B. Cancel download of files on your device mid-stream
While tracking down a problem with a different program I stumbled across a large number of files apparently left by MotoCast. In my (XP) "Documents and settingsusernameLocal SettingsTemp" folder there are 445 objects that include the word "Zumo" in their filenames. They total almost 8GB. They appear to be artifacts of MotoCast left behind at every reboot. What are they? Why does MotoCast leave them behind and not clean them up on the "next" boot up? Can they be removed?

(if delete / reload is even possible)I am able to load other files and play them though. The internal memory was formatted and the SD card also yet no change.Tried to find the files yet do not know where they may be cached / records of the old files held. Also, Is remove and reinstall My music app straight forward such as delete and reload it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI shared a directory on my PC via Motocast, but files I've deleted are still showing up in the Droid Bionic when I connect to Motocast and browse that shared directory. If I add new files into the PC directory, they show up immediately on the Droid Bionic, but deleting them does not make it disappear on the Bionic when I browse that shared directory.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMotoCast Wireless needs an option to only use music files from "my_music/folder/path/" or, alternatively, only use music files from my iTunes library. As it stands, MotoCast Wireless settings ask nebulously for the paths to, "[any and all] folders containing media and documents you want to be remotely accessible."Because some programs keep files that are technically "media" type files in the documents path, my MotoCast Library online shows up with a pantload of "songs" by "unknown artist".My meticulously maintained music library has ZERO tracks by "unknown artist". Ditto for "unknown album". Same for "songs" with no name or no genre. MotoCast is, without asking me, including all sorts of sound effect and video clip and other mish-mash of media riff raff that it has tumbled upon in my document folders..It's nice that you want MotoCast to be an all'round helpful product, but the document functions need to be separated from the music and the pictures, and each of those should be separated from the documents.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a couple of problems with My Music. When connecting to my computer (iMac) over wi-fi or 3g I can access the files and stream without a problem but recently I decided to download an album to my phone and although it showed all 10 songs downloaded in the notifications bar, only 2 songs appeared in the app. I tried repeating the process, again it was downloading for a while and showed all as done, but nothing new appeared in the album. I checked the location of the files and they're there - really no idea what the problem could be. I rebooted the phone - nothing.
I noticed that some of the files are mp3 and some m4a but in both types there's more than 2 files so compatibility rather unlikely. The music app is incredibly slow, even when playing files from the phone, not over the internet. I posted a separate discussion on the phone being really slow in comparison with iOS5, but I notice it especially with My Music. Does anyone else have the same problem and is there a solution? Something in settings maybe? I'm new to Android so it's likely no answer will be to basic.
Every time I connect my phone to the original USB cable the Motocast USB program starts running and then it says please wait while Motocast USB loads your content, and finally the MML has stopped working window pops up with the only option to close the program. I have uninstalled the program and re-installed a new version of it, but that doesn't seem to work. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have downloaded a patch that I replaced, even though when I tried to replace it the computer told me I required administrator authorization. However when I proceeded with this action it seems to have replaced the old one with the new one.I have no idea what to do, nor know where to find the problem in writing to post somewhere. My computer knowledge is very limited.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI would like to expand the storage in my Razr HD (Australia - using Telstra 4G Network).I am looking to buy a Sandisk 32Gb class 10 microSD card - just wondering if this is known to work with these phones? If not, which make/models do work? Does the speed of the microSD card make much difference when used with the Razr HD's? I see Sandisk also have a 16Gb 95Mbps microSD card which is quite a bit more expensive, but is it worth it?

View 15 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a DROID RAZR. I have installed the desktop client on two different machines. I can view pictures and listen to music but when I try to play any video format I receive the following error:
Error during video playback
MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I tried to download several files to test them on the phone's storage, but I am also unable to download any video using MotoCast. I can download pictures and documents. I have tried doing these operations through the Gallery app, as well as just browsing using the directory structure.
I find that some AC3 formatted files can be played while others give me an error about needing an AC3 filter. I find this generally on the higher bitrate videos. For example one is ac3 @ 192k and it plays just fine while another is 640k and says i need an ac3 filter. to play any obviously ffdshow is installed and working to play any ac3. I am confused, I have mainly avi and mkv files.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI had to get a new DSL router with security and motocast stopped working on my desktop. It still works on my wireless laptop. I uninstalled the motocast application on the desktop and re-installed it and it fried my internet connection settings on the desktop. I can get them back using a windows restore point but each time I try to reinstall Motocast it kills my internet connection settings again. It was working great before the new modem was setup. I don't understand why installing Motocast would alter my computers internet connection?
